It's a family friendly park with clean restrooms, playgrounds for the ones who are not playing and paved sidewalks throughout the park to make it easy for walking and strollers. Lots of picnic tables and plenty of stands and room to spread out with folding chairs. The concession house is as good as any I've seen. Well run with volunteers and very good prices. They even bring in their own grills and flattops to make fresh burgers and hot dogs. Just a nice place to take in a game and have a dog. The teams are all very well coached but a strong emphasis on good sportsmanship. Very refreshing. And all around great park with plenty to do.

From nature to trees that are continently labeled. It's wonderful when dog walking or riding your bike, with benches and swings placed throughout the park,, you will have plenty to do. The playground for the kids helps theme release that extra energy giving you a peaceful afternoon. Large open fields are ready for a soccer or baseball game. The intermittent bridges also allow for beautiful photo ops for your social. From your dog to your kids the parks of Cherokee county don't disappoint.

Running, jogging tracks and walking trails. And a huge playground for the little ones. Plus a newly built recreation center that holds a 200 seat auditorium, a 2 story rock climbing wall, special events, camps, sporting events, instructional classes, and facility rentals. It also offers two full sized basketball courts, officials meeting room, cardio/fitness zone, multiple classrooms and a dance studio. I love going here as there are just so many things to do. Other offerings are Public rest rooms, gazebo with picnics tables and also pet friendly. And you just have to attend their annual Christmas drive through light show.

Also the home plate has deep, worn trenches from the batters. One batter hit the ball and tripped coming out of the batters box. He ofcourse didn't quite make it to 1st and was called out. If he hadn't lost his footing he would have been safe. We had the same problem with a non working score board the last time we played at this park. What are they doing with the revenue?? I hope we never play at this park again.

Exercise park with built in equipment to use. Long, paved cement walking trail, that wraps around the main sports complex. Bleachers and night lights. I see three baseball fields, all in the middle, labeled 1,2,3, with a covered pavilion in the middle of those w many tables (about ten) grills, bathrooms. Seems great for a birthday party. Bathrooms- I see a few different doors for bathrooms. We went in women's- one stall, decent and clean enough. Had light and TP and mirror. More decent than most lol. Was open at 4:30p week day. Down below, like in back of those feilds, I see a big football field down below, and a big tennis court that may have a different parking lot-- perhaps a side road when you enter the lot, that goes down to them. Not sure if soccer field anywhere? I see a make-shift concert area maybe? Like layers of grassy areas for maybe summer picnic concerts? Many benches all along the walking trail, water fountain by front trail, and at bathrooms, many trash cans all over. Love that. I also see big dumpsters way on back left side. Playground seems decent. Not a large area, but has two bigger structures, one for bigger, one for smaller, and mini climbing wall, many plastic slides, monkey bars, tan bark flooring - gets a bit soggy w the rain. Two benches in there, one picnic table, one trash can. Not gated in. I see some kids on it, so it may get used. Hadn't heard of it. Many here walking and practicing sports on their own. I assume practices during those seasons/ weekends? A stand with many doggie bags for dog poop. Seems well kept, and a popular after school and work spot. Surrounded by trees, which is nice. Park Amenities include 12 Tennis Courts, 5 Turf Multi-Use Rectangle Fields, 5 Picnic Pavilions, 4 Youth Baseball/Softball Fields, 3 Outdoor Basketball Courts, 2 Playgrounds, Batting Cages, Big Creek Greenway access, Braille Trail, Dog Park, Paved Walking Trail approximately 1.5 miles, Skate Park, Track and Field Area. Recreation Center Amenities include 2 Indoor Basketball Courts, Cardio-Weight Room, Indoor Walking Track, Dance Classroom, Fitness Classroom, Community Room, Multipurpose Classroom, Showers and Restrooms. One of the trails leads to Halcyon, which takes over an hour if walking at a fast pace. This park has tons of amenities, but the real hidden gem is the free run club every Tuesday at 7PM by the track. There is a nice skate and bike park there as well. Got to see several deer along the trail as well. I like how much nature this park has, many deers roam in the park. Dog must be leashed as there is wildlife present. Multiple picnic areas that varies in size. Four picnic pavilions that can be reserved, ample free parking but there is no shade on slides and swings. Play ground for kids and lots of space for different age groups to meet and do some fun activities. Well worth a visit any time of the year. If you are out this way definitely check it out.

There…read moreare 8 (9?) baseball fields, (plus softball), some in better shape than others as far as drainage and weed growth. The bathrooms are generally clean and well lit, stocked with soap and tp, which is a big deal as not all parks are. The parking lot is a little rough with the speed bumps and pot holes, but considering how it's constantly being patched, I don't think it's for lack of trying. The lines of the spaces are short for vans and trucks, which is 90% of the vehicular traffic. A little known secret seems to be to go left upon entry and park behind, near the softball fields. The fields are also well lit. It's not fancy compared to the fields near Univeter, but miles above the quality at Legion/Harmon. This speaks only of the park facilities. The club itself has so far been a phenomenal experience for us and our kids. Scheduling, communication, cost and quality of coaches all fabulous- definitely recommend.

My son and others participated with excitement and preparation, yet the roster was finalized with only coaches' kids and one "influencer" player -- regardless of how anyone else performed. Families were told this was a fair evaluation, but it turned out to be a formality. Parents received no feedback, communication, or even a courtesy update on selections. If you're looking for a true merit-based program where kids are chosen on skill and work ethic, this isn't it. Decisions were already made before the workout began. Parents should know what they're signing up for.
