It took years on the wait list here BUT it was well worth it! We finally were paired with Salma and she has been nothing short of incredible! My daughter has overcome her fears and is now a very proficient swimmer. Salma's patience, encouragement, and empathy have been a true game changer, and I am forever grateful! Highly recommend!

They do have a little bit of a rigid policy. You need to cancel 48 hours in advance for a full refund, and 24 for a reschedule. I honestly appreciate that they have a consistent, and clearly communicated policy that's the same for everyone. I like knowing what to expect. I'm a Special Education teacher, and while their expertise is definitely more on swimming than child development, I find it to be developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and accessible. They focus on specific skills, which build on each other. They use a lot of repetition, routine, and play, which is all great for early learning and building a sense of confidence and safety. My biggest complaint is with the locker room. I really wish there was some sort of private change area, even a curtain, especially with so many little kids, and there's not always room to accommodate everyone there.

This review serves as a warning to potential members regarding a horrific experience at Mountain…read morePark Racquet and Fitness Club. In March 2025, a female was verbally assaulted and threatened on the premises. Immediately following the assault, the incident was reported to the club's manager. The club's general manager's response was inadequate, and no consequences were applied to the aggressor. The individual who committed the assault (0b1r2i3@4n 0b1*2@3r4d0) is still permitted to remain at the club, thus posing a continued threat to other members. The victim finds the club management's disregard for their safety and well-being appalling. The management's negligence in addressing this serious matter was deemed inexcusable. The club management suggested the victim file a police report, but did not expel the aggressor. The victim asserts that the club fosters a male-dominated culture where violations of the code of conduct are ignored. The general manager's inaction is seen as indicative of their priorities, which, in the victim's opinion, do not include the safety and care of their members. The victim advises against trusting the general manager of the WAMclub, who swept the assault incident under the rug and acts as if nothing has happened -https://www.wamclubs.com/contact. In general, the club members are nice and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, a few bad actors have downgraded the club's moral standards. It's a shame.

Family fun and worry/sunburnt-free!…read more These days I'm all about finding that perfect balance between work, spending time with loved ones, while enjoying activities. That's why I'm obsessed with this new find in the Southwest community! This neighborhood community center has cool activities like two indoor pools. One is designated for laps- 9 feet deep and the other includes a wading pool with slide, up to 4 ft and 6 inches at the deepest. I also love that there is a shower and lockers open for use so you can clean up before heading to the pool. The kids seem to absolutely love it - there are tons of other families with little ones. Open pool time is ~ 2-4pm, go early so you can get in. There's a capacity limit, our visit happened to be 75. If want to make it, BE THERE EARLY. Can not stress this enough. It is not the staff's fault if you can not get in. There are standards for a reason. You do not want to be cooped up in a space where it can not accommodate for more than what's expected. You also want to keep in mind that there are lifeguards to look out for everyone's safety and well being, so please be mindful of that as well! There are also other parts of the center to enjoy, such as an indoor basketball gym, rollerskating sessions, aqua aerobics, gym, and even dancing. It's the perfect blend of family-friendly fun and adult-approved relaxation. If you're looking for a place with a strong sense of community, stunning scenery, and a pool that's basically its own mini-vacation destination, then this is your spot! Totally recommend it! P.S. If you ever see me poolside with a noodle in hand, say hi! I'm learning how to swim - and it's fun to make some friends while we're at it!

There's many things to love about this place but there's also a few drawbacks I've noticed with…read moretime. My 3 year old has been taking the junior 1 classes for a couple months. This is the first time they've ever taken swim lessons before so everything has been new to both our child and me as a parent. The set-up inside is nice and clean with plenty of changing rooms. I have been a little annoyed that the parent viewing area only has a few seats in front of the lane our child is swimming in, and if someone else is already there, you have to watch at a distance where you can't clearly see your child from. My child has mostly taken classes with Olivia who seems great with children and a very patient person. She will remember things my child is uncomfortable with; dunking their whole head underwater for example; and take things slow so they're not traumatized. My child's class size is clearly explained on the website, with a maximum of 4 kids to 1 teacher. This seemed like an agreeable thing when we signed up, however it's something that both my spouse and I have become concerned with over time. We've observed that during the short 30 minute class, our kid is only receiving a fraction of that time (5-10 minutes) being taught something meaningful. The teacher is too busy taking turns with the other kids while the other children just sit on the side waiting. I wish I'd looked into private or 1:1 lessons from the beginning. It is unknown to me if West Linn offers this option, but it seems to me that it would be well worth an additional cost. We wound up withdrawing our little one from this school recently because we decided it isn't quite worth the time it takes to leave the house, especially when our child isn't receiving the attention they need to seriously progress in learning to swim. Ending on a good note, I do appreciate that if your kid is absent and you call it in, they will give you a token to use in the future to make up that missed class. I also appreciated how kind each of the staff members were each time we spoke to them, especially Brandy.

This place is amazing!…read more My 3 year old started swim lessons a couple of months ago. Prior to starting the team there helped me with registering for a class. This included texting me to see what my best options were for days/times. As well as updating me when a new class time was available that would work for us better. Everyone who works there is so accommodating and kind! As a working mom it really helped me stay on top of registering without forgetting. The classes are continuous which I haven't encountered before. They go once a week and when they're ready they can move up to the next class level. My daughter is in class with her cousin and they absolutely ADORE Teacher Olivia. They talk about her often and are always excited to go see her at school. They have 4 kids total in their class. All with different personalities and temperaments. I am always impressed with Olivia as she manages all of them while going through the skills with each kid. Occasionally another teacher will join her as well. They do such fun and cute stuff with the kids. Like they will go for a high five and when the kid high fives them the teacher will fly back in the water like the kid has super strength. Little things like that. At the end of class they go over what the kids are doing well and what could use improvement. I really appreciate the trust Olivia has built with the girls. When they're ready to move up to the next class I hope they can still have her as a teacher! The facility is great. The pool area is super warm! Don't wear a thick coat or sweater when bringing your kid in to the pool. The water is warm too as daughter doesn't complain about the pool being cold. All the bathrooms and changing rooms are always clean. They provide soap to wash off. There's a surfboard the kids can sit on while we dry their hair after class. They provide hair dryers and it all feels v bougie and special for the kids. There's snacks for sale and the kids get a free trinket almost every class. Like a keychain or a bathtub floaty goldfish. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for swim lessons for their kids!
