They also have a truly one of a kind early education (pre-pre-K) program that helps your little if they are struggling in any way to meet milestones and helps set up a personalized learning plan to help your little succeed. I have nothing but great things to say about every aspect of Parker Center and am thrilled my little got to be part of it.

We've been involved with the learning process (thank god) and have gotten emails from the s C oil when it comes to parents being concerned about politics being dragged through our schools. They seem pretty focused on education and play. My son has improved immensely and although he doesn't like waking up, he's usually very excited about going to school, what happened at school and what he learned. He always says "hey, that's one of my site words!" We had Mrs. Rachel in preschool (he fell in love with her). She held his hand every step of the way to get on the bus and took a picture of him riding in the bus with her and smiling and sent it to us. This was after he was crying and begging us not to bring him to school because he was scared of the bus for the field trip. His Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Schaefer. He has loved her since day one. She says she likes to use him as a positive example for other kids and she's sent us pictures of him having fun as well. He's going to be heartbroken when he leaves in a few weeks. We met both of the teachers. Very down to earth, goal oriented, you could tell they love kids and are great with them. Even the teachers aids he has had good relationships with. So glad they didn't give up with some potty training mishaps. They have a reward system for when you're being a good person. Great counselors for the kids if needed. Their are some really passionate and protective teachers and staff around this school and I feel safe with him there. Not worried about anyone trying to change him. Just growing his brain and who he is. Not judging him for not being artistic or liking Singing. It will be a hard transition to go to another school for first grade, but I'm really glad that he was able to start out here in this safe school. There are always extra curricular activities and fun days. Right now they're counting down to the last day of school and celebrating each day. So Bittersweet. I see a lot of diversity in the school as well and he's picked up on a few new words in other language with his friends. Thank you Parker!

The classroom is bright, happy and well equipped. The outdoor area is amazing and allows the children to experience nature and play. The "Buddies Program" with the 10 & 11 year olds is amazing. Each preschooler gets a "Big Buddy" that reads to them once a week and celebrates holidays and other special events with them. The bonds created are wonderful and go beyond anything I have seen any where else. Spectrum also offers before and after school care in a safe and naturing environment. I would strongly suggest that you check out the program soon...there will be waiting lists!

Went here my whole life, any season where I was down there was a pastor or a teacher or a student…read morewho would lift me up. The students loved and defended each other through all things. The education was great; the teachers were great. I was given the opportunity to leave cls multiple times and I never wanted to leave. CLS made me feel like I had a second family I could always go to no matter what! Highly recommend them!

While no school is perfect. Harlem has higher standards than most of the Rockford schools. That…read morebeing said, there are good Rockford schools and good Rockford neighborhoods. Property taxes are higher in Rockford also. If you are moving into the Rockford area, I would recommend looking into either Harlem or Hononegah until you learn the area.
