If I could give zero stars, I would. These people are really unprofessional, which is really disappointing, due to the reviews we read on here we were hopeful because there were so many good ones. My husband called to get a quote, someone was supposed to come out and they never showed. When he called to find out what was going on and why no one came out, the woman we spoke to was so unbelievably rude, that we just hung up. If I were you, I'd stay as far away from this company as possible. How Hardwick Fence is still in business with employees like that is mind boggling. Looking back now, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if a good chunk of the positive reviews are friends of theirs. 0/10 would NOT recommend. read more

We just had existing fencing replaced by Hardwick as well as new picket fencing surrounding our entire front yard so that our dog could have an area to run around in. Josh and Jacob were our installers and they added four gates, two for entry into the picket fence area and two more to access the backyard. Josh and Jacob were fantastic! They did an amazing job that included placing lattice on top of the backyard fence that looks superb! I would highly highly recommend Hardwick fencing and if you get Josh and Jacob as your installers you are going to get an awesome fencing project. read more

Hardwick Fence just completed a project on our property that included 250' of fence, a privacy fence for our outdoor shower and a simple retaining fence to mask the look of the elevated drain field in our front yard. From the beginning, Hank Hardwick was a joy to deal with. He listened to our needs and took great pride in describing our options and the type of work his experienced crews would perform. He was prompt and on time for any meetings and one of his staff, Jordane, provided us with as much information as necessary for us to decide which design would work best. Hardwick Fence's estimates are as thorough as can be, easily explaining the process in simple terms. They state what is expected of us as owners and exactly what services are to be provided by Hardwick. This made us extremely comfortable with Hardwick's contract. Work commenced on exactly the day it was supposed to. Day one a friendly veteran team was out and installed every fence post needed. Day two, a small army of tradesmen was mobilized and assembled the fence itself while others got to work on the retaining wall. Every concern or question I had along the way was greeted with a friendly courteous answer completely to my satisfaction. In our case on day three the 'gate fairies' arrived to assemble the three gates using welded frames to prevent any sag along with top notch hardware for the hinges and latches. As we were out, it was a pleasure to drive up and see just what our yard and home were transformed into. It is amazing just what a fence does to your yard enhancing the property and giving a sense of privacy. Hardwick Fences' final bill was exactly what we expected it to be, not a penny more. I had a very negative experience with this company. They placed the fence so high above the ground that we have to stack bricks so my dogs cannot escape. We are on a preserve so that is dangerous! Secondly, parts broke or cracked within a year of installation and they would not answer email or voicemail to fix. Even the metal lock and hinges broke- supposed to be heavy duty but seems only big box quality. I had to find another fence company to repair. They used much better parts. Please use caution, a fence is an investment. They do not "warranty" anything as promised. They will not even fix it for parts and labor after the big job is done. read more

I want to give a positive call out to Hardwick Fence. My original fence was installed by a different company, and within a couple of years started to sag seriously on one side and show gaps in several locations. After contacting the original installer and not even receiving a call back, I turned to Hardwick Fence. Although it took them a couple of weeks to schedule the job, once they did, they were punctual. Josh (e.g., "the fixer") and his team not only fixed the issues, but made the fence more secure and better looking than ever by ensuring all of the panels were even and the posts were fully set in concrete. Just had a fence installed this December after losing our fence in the hurricane. We had several issues with the job and now would like to thank Hardwick for my fence that our two dogs run right through as if it isn't even there, a gate that had to be entirely redone because of a 6" gap under it, major post not set in concrete, and finally a broken sprinkler line that was not discovered until after the job was complete which shut down all of the rotors to the back yard. I left several emails and VM messages for Dawn to call me to discuss and asked her not to cash my check until we discussed the repairs to the sprinkler system. Hank and Donna pretend to be friendly making you trust them and want to do business with them. This cons you in to trusting their company. The placed costly vinyl fence over sprinklers. They promised to move any sprinklers and they did not do as promised. I had to pay someone else to do this. They had my property survey on hand but also measured wrong when installing my fence. It took away property on my right. I found out after work was complete so nothing could be done. It causes mowing issues with landscapers, they never understand or remember to mow the rest of my unfenced lawn plus I have less backyard. This will cause problems if I ever try to sell. They Did Not fix anything as promised and ignored emails and calls. Anytime they said they would do something, they did not follow through by evading calls end emails. They also promised they would come out if anything became damaged because you are a customer "for life" and there are certain warranties. My Fence post cracked on top, fence lock broke and lattice cracked due to poor materials as it was a new fence at the time. I emailed and called for over 1 1/2 years. They never responded. I was offering to even pay, I just wanted it fixed. Though they should have fixed under warranty. Hardwick Fence does not stand behind their work despite their pretense of sincerity and Christianity. I am a Christian and God does not want us to act like them. I chose them for their supposed values. I was very fooled. Donna took advantage of a situation of me being young and naive (first time homeowner) and trusting people to keep their word. They try to get you away from competition. They bash competition including his son. Pay more for quality work with the competitors who stand behind work. Do not be fooled by them stating they are just giving you a good deal and they use same materials as everyone else. You will save in the long run going elsewhere. A PHENOMINAL company to deal with. I had 800 feet of 6ft. chainlink fence (and 2 gates) installed by these guys, and they did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job! Before the job was started, I spent nearly two months clearing overgrowth from the lot lines, taking down small trees that were in the fence line, having the stumps ground down, and having 12 loads of fill dirt delivered and spread. Hardwick Fence worked with me on my timeline to have the fence installed. They were in email or phone contact with me, from the day I first contacted them, until the job was completely done. They are one of the few companies I have ever dealt with that made it a point of telling me how much they appreciated my business. Even the owner contacted me to make sure I was happy with the job, and how often does that happen? Their price for the job was competitive with others in the area, and I truly feel like I got the best possible product for my money. I HIGHLY recommend Hardwick Fence to anyone needing a fence. I had a 4' black chainlink fence installed around my house to keep my dogs safe in the yard. Installation was quick and professional and the fence looks great. After a month or so we noticed that our dogs could squeeze under the fence if they wanted to. I logged in to yelp to get Hardwick Fencings number and saw a previous reviewer that had a similar problem with their fence. Their review said they never got a response back about their issue. I was wary about that and jumped the gun and posted a negative review saying my dogs could escape our fence. Within a day or so, I received a nice voicemail from the owner saying they would do whatever it took to resolve my issue. I called them back and had a very pleasant conversation and they sent some people out to take a look! Today they installed a tension wire across the bottom and it's completely fixed!!! They have truly impressive customer service and quality of work. read more
