Ok, I'll admit that the place is pretty cool, fantastically cool. The staircase heading up, the records, the view and the setup in the shop - 5 stars. Wow! I even enjoyed looking at all the stickers on the walk up. Seriously, wow. I could have spent ages in there digging through all the rows of records and admiring the walls of sticker build up.
Now... The reason I gave 3 stars: The fact that there were only men working there: all of which were dressed in the same too cool for school outfit with their hair slicked back in a way that made me wonder if they all got ready together. It was stand-offish that nobody said hi or asked if I needed help finding a record, it seemed like they were a high school clique. I understand that at a record store you go to find what you want and admire the collection, but when two girls are walking around confused for a while, you would think someone would ask if we needed help.I wanted to ask how I could get a sticker but I felt so ostracized that I just quietly left instead of approaching one of the workers. I would love to go back but honestly felt too intimidated and I think I could find another cool shop to cruise around with a friendlier attitude. read more
