I was scared when I was getting my kidney out and was emotional... When the attorney called she said I should record the call but had never done that before.. I had cancer from Zantac and had proof with receipts... She went over all these hoops I was supposed to jump threw but didn't record the conversation because I was scared of death when I was was having my kidney out in the future.. the associate giggled and laughed at me and said others who made this mistake had other lawyers repeat what she was saying for thousands of dollars and did not show any concern about what I was facing or my fear or concerns about jumping through these hoops or my health or emotions I was going through... She then had me digitally sign a form that said the law firm would get their share of the money and I would be left in the dust.. I decided to use them for a Disability claim. * note * the max they can get is $7200 from your back pay. That is when it takes longer than a year at least. In my opinion they dragged it on to get max dollars from me. My claim was a no trainer and I should've tackled myself. They did very little and within the 17 months of waiting I heard from them 2 times. I always called for updates. Then eventually I would just deal with SSA myself to push it along. How sad to see all of these negative comments when I have had nothing but a positive experience. I believe the negative reviews are in part due to ignorance and people thinking that working with a lawyer is like what they see on tv. It's easy to post negative reviews when you think you have the right to, but people need to understand the law and the amount of work that ois into just the monitoring of a case even before it becomes a case file in a law firm. Most people think just because they have been in a car accident they hit the lottery. As a paralegal for a law firm in the city of Albany, I can tell you that i have been called names and berated by many people who thought they had cases and were then let go because they did not meet the NYS injury threshold. Went to them for disability,got turned down twice, with a broken neck, and I did get it fused and a plate in, 2 cracked knees, one filled the other still waiting, severe pain thru my body that I pass out occasionally, my Drs. Couldn't believe it. Then I get turned down for a 3rd. time with the Judge saying I cook and eat for meals a day, clean my 1br apt. TWICE a day and do my laundry once a week..the only thing that was true was the last and I take it to my parents where my mother does it. They lied. Totally bogus lawyer!! Called them about my accident in which I was hit and the other driver took off and was later found and my truck was totally destroyed and 100% not at fault. The accident was caught on an airport camera in the daytime. An ambulance took me to the hospital with left neck, shoulder and arm pain. I spoke with Ian Flannery and he said they'll take the case. I'm going to physical therapy 3 times a week and the chiropractor 3 times a week also. He tells me about 2 weeks later to try to get an MRI. Why would you wait to tell me this after a couple of weeks and not tell me right away. The Ortho Dr. and Chiropractic Dr. wouldn't refer me to get one because my condition improved a little since the day of the accident. Since June 16th I've been to 4 Ortho appointments, I've been to PT 2-3 times a week, Chiropractor 3 times a week until last week. 3 Months in and today he asked "did you get an MRI?" I told him again the Dr's wouldn't sign off on it. So Ian tells me after 3 months that we're not gonna take the case since you didn't get the MRI. Are you kidding me? I keep seeing commercials that they help but didn't help me & my autistic daughter. They ditched me on the actual day of court & had a messenger personally bring me all my papers so I would have it that evening standing there in front of a judge alone after signing with them to help me. I am still very confused over my experience with this co.(experience in entirety consisted of one online consult request I put in... one of several firms and then multiple voicemails left by diff people working there asking for call back. In interrim I had contracted covid so I made no calls for a week. One discussion on phone when I did call back( seemed to lack any legal knowledge and had to "go check" with someone on occasion and then a verbal denial and then receiving a form letter from one lawyer giving me a denial in writing) . But the situation was just so odd. I never wanted to contact this firm but someone who found something positive about them convinced me to. It was a malpractice/ personal injury type thing. I had always been told not to chose any professional that needs to be loud and obnoxious and advertise themselves to get clients. And these guys are the epitome of obnoxious. But after multiple messages left for me I did return call and the woman I spoke to was early not a lawyer or a paralegal or a student in anything pertaining to law. She seemed to have the position of keeping disgruntled customers calm with the "there there" very obviously fake phone voice. But the weird part. She asked me to basically describe my complaint and resulting loss. I told her very little and actually feel that she was focusing on something else,making a noise on occ to make it sound like she was paying attention to me. On her 2nd having to check with someone she told me that they wouldnt be representing me. Find and dandy until she decided to explain why and first she mentioned lack of permanent impairment or debilitating injury. I listened but after thinking about it I started to ask her how she could possibly even know what injury or severity of my injury was as I had not even had that aspect documented yet in any type of follow up exam.She repeated herself but didnt answer how she had that info as she should not have had that info. I had reported significance of possible injury to no one at the company. Then she went on to reason for denial part deux that I was unable to prove malpractice had occurred at any time. After going to check again with some presence working with her but obviously not willing to get on phone with me. She came back and proceeded to list elements necessary to successfully prove malpractice. As she was using simple terminology,I decided to interject with specific legal ethics and laws breached in cases of malpractice. Again I started to ask her why she would say that when she hadnt heard any potential evidence I had obtained and then I started giving one example of a violation. But she just had her speech and she would not be deterred. She had no interest in speaking to me. Obviously someone ( that was in legal field) told her or she was reading it that I was a ? Reject lol. She then only asked me for address so that I could receive a letter telling me again that I was unwanted there and she wanted to give me a number ( she insisted that I take it) of a group of public lawyers of varying specialties. So, yes, I was confused about the whole conversation. If they were making a decision about whether or not to accept case by the online request for consult where I listed basics.. then why did they persist in leaving 1-2 msgs everyday. Perhaps I did mention target of my dispute .. well known and could certainly make some type of impact on the financial futures of these clowns whereas I couldnt and would most definitely not care enough to do so. It doesnt matter really but it was all just off. And the finale.. a letter arrives from that very office within a couple of days. It is written on letterhead if one of the actual heavy hitters( yikes even that name would likely make me too embarassed to have them represent me..hmm unless there was a way that we could do the igcognito thing and they could officially represent me from very far away and I could pretend that I had never met heavy. Oh yes I forgot, that couldn't happen as they rejected me. But the last oddity: the reasons stated in letter for being unable to represent me adamently state that me, being able to prove case of malpractice or that injury subsequently was sustained had nothing whatsoever to do with their decision. It could not have been any clearer that the information given to me over phone by that women two days prior was not a reason for denial. It almost seemed that if case was refused because of the evidence and documentation I produced not being sufficient ( ? Or maybe even fraudulent) that there could be thoughts of ethical breach ..some negative outcome that I am clearly reaching for as I don't know specifics for why the info given on phone call and that in the letter soon after are directly contradictory. And the letter is the one that is "acceptable" somehow and that's why it's sent to provide evidence of their truth. This company is just going to be a waste of time. They tell me a year ago I have a strong case and the are taking on my case. Make me fill all this paperwork out, take several pictures throughout the year. Then a year later want to tell me they are NOT interested in taking on my case but, they will refer me to another office. When I ask why they all or a sudden don't have interest in taking on my case they say "they aren't privy to that information". Seriously, your the law office who is telling me after a year of wasting my time that you're no longer interested in my case and yet "you're not privy to the information" of why now A YEAR LATER you're not interested. After being assaulted off duty at my place of work, I was manhandled by two coworkers and then had to have my knee reconstructed, I contacted Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, to bring a suit against my former employer. In January they gladly accepted the case and sent me a stack of releases to sign and legally binding documents to read, to retain their law firm. I made it very clear to them the statute of limitations is up 7/17, so time was of the essence. When I reached out to the firm to check on the progress of the case in February and again in the beginning of March with no reply. I was finally contacted by a very discourteous and irritable woman named Francine. She refused to give me her last name which I found to be very unprofessional.. Typically professionals stand behind their work and reputation and are proud to make people aware of whom they are unless of course they are engaged in some shady business. When I asked for an explanation Francine had none and recommended some ambulance chaser from Amsterdam. At that point I explained to them because they absorbed so much of the time they were making it virtually impossible for me to seek out another attorney, brief him as to the facts of the case, be able to file the suit,.... They can care less, it's clear that something unethical occurred and Martin, Harding & Mazzotti was involved in it. My former employer has had a number of different sketchy interactions with the legal system. For example, because of his huge net worth, he would often sue former employees in an effort to bulldoze them and destroy them with his money. The last one resulted in the judge determining that this man engaged in frivolous lawsuits consistently and through the case out. My dealings with this law firm eerily remind me of his underhanded tactics, swaying the legal system and everything they represent is about the almighty dollar, people mean nothing. This firm is money hungry, Mono narcissistic, undependable attorneys who will sell you out at the drop of a hat. They cast a big net with their expensive television campaign hoping to rope in a bunch of sheep that they can take advantage of...BEWARE OF THESE SHYSTERS, I will spend the rest of my life with the pain in my knee, a mountain of medical bills that's affecting my credit and the depressing feeling is that justice was not served, all because the fact that I put my trust Martin Harding and Mazzotti. During my time there it was almost as if they refused to give me an opportunity for permanent employment as a paralegal. I have my associates degree from an accredited school, where I graduated magna cum laude. Mind you there are people there with permanent paralegal positions and no degree. Parents supervising there own children and other things that would be considered to be a conflict of interest at any other company. Overall MHM is a great company with lots of perks but there seems to be a few forms of discriminatory practice when it comes to being given a full-time, permanent opportunity. read more

I've been fighting a MAJOR American nationwide department store that has a skyscraper full of attorneys. I had a near death fall and I broke my neck, 3 fingers, my skull with a "traumatic brain injury," my left knee, had to have plastic surgery on my face and skull, and smashed my right shoulder into oblivion. Martin Hardy and mazzoiti botched both of my workers comp cases that they have been dragging there asses since 2011. They would show up to court unprepared and send someone new who had know idea what was going on. They took years to get records back that took me just one phone call. I went with them because a friend said she heard they were the best. Boy was she wrong. The girl that represents the NY State insurance fund tore my attorney Moreen Thigh a new asshole. I have to say I whish she was representing me. My case was a cut and win case that should have been so easy ,that's why mhm took it. But if they don't do what they are hired to do you can't win. So I have worked in the roofing business for 35 years and need knee replacements and was documented by my doctor ,filed in time, and was just plan mishandled I would not have given the one star but it won't go away. I have asked many times to speak with one of the owners of MHM and was refused every time and usually ended up speaking to another paralegal who could give a crap. If you have a workers comp case I highly recommend you go to someone who cares for what will happen to you at least a little bit! MHM then send me a letter 2 months after they told me they would take my case to the supreme Court telling me they are no longer are interested in my case.
