After waiting in line whilst the gentleman was having a chat with what seemed like his friend he noticed I was waiting to be served. After finally handing him the parcel he looked perplexed as if he has no idea what he was supposed to do. he handed me the parcel back and said that it was a FAKE label and he would refuse to post it. When I tried to ask him a question about it he walked away and left me standing there whilst the queue behind me got bigger. I was felt to feel like a criminal and always AVOID going to the post office unless absolutely necessary as the gentleman is always very rude but will never be going in there again. The customer service at Zara.com however where absolutely brilliant and arranged another method for a return.

I went in to post a parcel which i sold on EBay, i did so and he looked clueless - and said that my postage label was not displaying the price i paid so he cannot accept it, i said to him it does not need to as the weight (0.25kg) is displayed, and it is at the sellers discretion whether to show price or not. I was happy to show him proof on my phone via EBay and PayPal, but he was not having it. He then said he will flag this up to royal mail, i said please do as i am operating correctly and that he is in the wrong. He then asked about the returns address on the parcel - i advised him that it is my business and businesses returns address to which he said you need a royal mail business account for these transactions, i said you do not need to as you can purchase these from EBay directly as i have been doing, as sometimes other couriers such as Hermes may be used. He then said that my label is fake and i could easily relicate it for other orders - i said this is not true, as it has the post by date on the label, my specific customers name and specific parcel weight. He then took my parcel and said if it goes fine, if if doesn't then it is because he has marked it as such. He then took a photo of the parcel with MY CUSTOMERS NAME ON IT !!! which is a breach of DPA. In any case i have reported the matter to Post Office Complaints and hope to be hearing from them soon. This man Khalid, was rude, irate, unwilling to listen and showed no level of customer service at all - he is a discredit to the post office brand. Avoid this post office, quite simply because of him -KHALID. A really rude man.
Using this Post Office is my idea of hell! When I first moved to Leeds, and had no idea where the…read moremore local services were to where I was living, I was bound to using this place and always disliked it. Whilst it has all the usual items that you might go to a Post Office to find, envelopes, jiffy bags, stationary and so on, it also has the worst some of the worst queues. I literally used to shiver with dread anytime I made an ebay sale thinking that I'd have to mooch down there and waste an hour in those awful queues, packed in with all those grumbling bodies. There was the occasional quirk, I found some comedy gold in the form of a silly compilation CD that I put in a parcel for my friend for £3, but other than that there are merely the horrid queues! It is situated opposite Tiger Tiger, it is a part of the St Johns Centre shopping mall and it is literally right next to one of the major bus stops in the city centre, which may go some way to explaining the high volume of customers! Although, on the flip side, it means there is really easy access. Essentially, it does everything a Post Office is supposed to do, it's just not that much of a pleasant experience whilst you are doing it.

The staff who work in there are friendly and helpful, although there is one chap who insists on asking every time whether or not I would like a Post Office credit card. Still, he does it with a cheeky smile on his face and so I can forgive him for trying - just. They don't have anything especially exciting but they function as a perfectly reasonable Post Office, with helpful friendly staff. They are worth the mention purely as an alternative to the larger one in town!

Over lunch time, when everyone is rushing during their lunch break, they had only two people serving when there were about twenty people queueing. Now that post offices deal with so many other enquiries like paying bills, banking & checking forms for passports etc, a transaction at the counter can take so much longer than simply buying stamps. Today was no exception & one of the two servers got embroiled in a tricky issue, leaving just poor cashier #5 to try to get the queue moving. It took about 20 minutes (and once I'd got to the front of the queue, typically!) for them to bring out three extra staff onto the counters to deal with the ever-growing line of impatient people clutching various letters & parcels. However, when I did finally get served, the lady was lovely, apologetic & swift, so that did make up for the wait a little. They do have two self-service machines if you're just looking to post simple packages (UK or international) though one of the machines wasn't working on my visit so there was a queue there too. In general, this post office seems to have a good array of products - all the usual envelopes, packages, etc for purchase, & a photo booth. But perhaps it might be worth going at an off-peak time if you can!

Nevertheless, on many an occasion I have had a handful of items, such as ebay parcels, late birthday cards and so on, to post and simply dreaded the idea of the queues that would await me in Headingley or Leeds. They are virtually never busy, and when they are the queue is a ten-minute wait, not a forty-minute wait. They have friendly helpful staff who have not once, ever offered me a Post Office credit card (I hate it when they do that!) and they have a few extra simply stationary supplies should you require. What could be more perfect? Job done.

When I first entered, it felt more like a card shop than a Post Office, the selection of greetings cards was very large which is unusual for a Post Office. They had barriers in place for queuing which again I feel were an unnecessary obstacle given the fact this particular location never seems to get too busy. I do think it could have been laid out slightly better. They have a good number of services/facilities on offer, the weekend opening hours are pretty poor, closing at noon on Saturday and then being closed until 8:30 on Monday, however during the week the opening hours are slightly more generous than most, opening until 6 pm.
