If you are looking to hire a contractor with communication skills, Jeremiah is not who to hire. After receiving a quote for foundation work, we paid our deposit, and was told he would get back to us with when he could lay the foundation. We weren't too pressed for time in the beginning since the property still required excavation and we needed to get a final set of foundation prints to Jeremiah. Excavation happened promptly, as well as us getting foundation prints. We called Jeremiah countless times, left voicemails, texted and email. We were needing to get the prints to him and schedule a date for the foundation work. Finally a response to a text, after a week of trying to reach him! We asked when we could get the prints to him... his reply, "maybe Tuesday". Uhhh, ok. Tuesday comes and goes. Here goes the "trying to reach Jeremiah" again for a week...FINALLY! He says he will be laying our foundation the following Thursday!! YAY! Now we can schedule other contractors.. well, septic, driveway AND our house builder!! So... Thursday comes and goes. Friday comes and goes. Jeremiah is MIA! Here goes the "trying to get in contact with Jeremiah" again. We left numerous voicemails and texts. We needed a firm date so that we could RESCHEDULE all the other contractors that were lined up after him. Well, we tried to track him down at another job site to get a date from him. He was holding up our whole project!
Funny how he called us that evening, with excuses of this and that and he then set another date with us. Whatever your excuse is, if you are professional, you call your customer if you plan to not show!!
Not so much a surprise that he no shows yet again.
We thankfully found another contractor pretty quickly who got the job done when he said he would! Only thing positive that I have to say about Hardcore Concrete, is that when we requested a timely refund, he immediately refunded our deposit. However, no apology or nothing for his shotty communication skills and lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, Hardcore and Jeremiah are not recommended! read more
