Bad customer service. I was told repairs, warranty work, and service would be completed in 2weeks. It's been more 2 months and I just got my mower back. No communication unless initiated on my end. This additional down time cost me a couple thousand dollars. And when asked if they would be willing to discount some of the service cost, I was told there nothing that can be done. I bought a Redmax power head and a lot of attachments to go with it from Buford Harco equipment rental and sales. The salesman got everything they had available and took care of setting up the 2 year warranty. I had a problem with the hedge trimmer, and Buford Harco was great to deal with. I was treated professionally and they took care of all my warranty issues while giving me an accurate timeline to expect everything to be completed. My rental experience at Harco Equipment Rental in Buford was totally pleasant and professional. We had some unforseen problems completing our task with the engine hoist we rented, but it had nothing to do with the rental equipment, which worked perfectly. The issue was with the engine we were pulling. The folks at Harco were very understanding and accommodating. Sorry, I don't recall the guys names that I worked with there. I should have made notes. I would say "beware". Today from the Winder location I was quoted a price by phone for a one day rental, Upon arrival they took all of my information including credit card. They handed me the paperwork with a higher price, plus a $28.00 non refundable damage fee, also if you use the rental more than eight hours you are charged another full days rental, even if you return the item on time. The people behind the counter were very arrogant and told me that I should leave if I didn't like their policies, so I obliged them and left, never to return read more

Don't use this company in Winder. VERY POOR customer service & renting faulty equipment. My landscaper needed to rent a Mini Ex and it was supposed to be here by 11am so they could work all day but was finally delivered at 3:30 so not much work got done that day. What little time he did have it to work with it was pouring fluids out so he stopped and was communicating with them to send someone out to work on it. They left for the day and my son-in-law does heavy equipment for a living so I ask him to come and fix it so they could use the following day. He came and repaired it and filled up with expensive fluids. The next day the landscaper finished up and they came to pick up the equipment. THEN I get the invoice and the $200.00 mandatory deposit was NOT refunded and they decided to charge me for the clock usage of 10 hours usage. So, apparently even when you rent it for 24 hours you are only allowed to use it for 8 hours and any over that on the clock you will be charged for so they charged me an extra $195.00 (conveniently eating up the $200.00 deposit) I was due back. When I called to inquire that it was crazy as I didn't charge them a repair fee for my son in law to fix their equipment and I could not believe they wanted to charge extra for 2 extra hours when I should have been comped an extra day anyway as I had to pay my landscapers to come back when the equipment was actually fixed and working. I had to pay my son in law to repair and fill the fluids of their equipment. I was never going to mention that I had that fixed for them until they refused to credit me back the $195.00. When I called to explain I felt that was unfair they were cold and uncaring. This is no way to treat your customers. Then I was told to call back-- I did and was referred to Jake and he was supposed to call me back on Monday and never did. I called to follow up and was told there is nothing they are going to do about this as they are trying to run a business and will not refund my card. I will not ever use them again & they will regret that decision because I will be sure to share my experience with everyone so that they take their business to anyone else that will actually appreciate their business and treat them right. read more

I have had occasion to rent various types of equipment over the past 10 years from Harco in Buford. Every experience has been efficient, courteous, and mostly just how a casual customer should hope to be treated. The variety of products available is large and impressive and the counter help and technicians always are thorough and prompt. Sometimes the equipment looks a little overused and worn, but it has always worked as intended, and without incident or complaint. It is easy and pleasant to reflect back favorably on a quality business that creates a feeling of competence and appreciation at handling their customers. read more
