This is clearly the best farmers market in the Wellington area. It is both a Sunday morning destination for the locals and a place tourists come. You can hear a lot of languages and many people asking what to do with some previously unknown fruit.
The market really is in two sections. One is the fresh fruits and vegetables. The other is a good food truck area.
Shop carefully in the fresh section. First, the stands near the entrances tend to be more expensive than those inside. I think it is because they hope to catch folks who are browsing. Second, look carefully about how fresh things are. You can easily find items that look like they are a day or two away from rotting. I am guessing that these are items that didn't sell to local restaurants. But, if you look, you can avoid this trap.
It is a good idea to bring your own bag, or even better, a backpack.
The food truck section is a lot of fun. Many sandwiches, ethnic dishes and more. I suggest you walk down eyes entire row is trucks before deciding. There are no particular ones to recommend, it has a lot to do with your mood.
So, enjoy your Sunday. read more
