I did not expect to be treated as second class citizens due to our state of dress to tour an apartment unguided. There was another couple touring and we were asked to avoid interrupting their tour. They were told we "hopefully won't bother them" and they laughed about it. Very rude imho. Also, the ceiling of the patio was quite literally FALLING OFF onto the balcony. The bathtub for the showing unit was moldy in the crevices. It smells off. The apartments seem pretty nice other than that. A little old, but oh well. I wish we had had a better experience, but I won't spend a year living somewhere that gave us such a poor first impression. Hopefully everyone else gets a much better viewing experience than us!

I have lived in a handful of large managed buildings like the Spencer 68 over the last decade so…read moretook some of the previous reviews with a grain of salt as I was looking for short-term housing in between other arrangements. Large properties like this always have maintenance call issues (as noted in the reviews) but when touring I noticed the units I saw were pretty beat up (e.g. toilet seats with visible wear) for a community advertising "new" or "like-new units". However, I ignored the red flag as I figured I would be there 6 months max. Besides moving into an apartment that was dirty (visible pet hair everywhere), the worst part of my experience living there was the absolute shitshow of the package room. Unlike other modern buildings with individual lockers, there is just a room... full of people's stuff and it is actually impossible to find yours. No organization, not my name, building, etc. Just a pile of shit that increases daily. Theft is of course rampant and enabled by the office staff who don't want to make changes to the system. Other annoying things included: - Hallways that always smelled like trash (thanks to the trash valet service) - Overflowing exterior dumpsters, which always had trash and furniture strewn about outside - Incommunicative staff - they were going through a sale at the time but still I ended up terminating my lease early and worked with the office staff on the buy out and all the various fees. To my surprise nearly 2 months later, Greystar sent me an invoice stating I owed nearly $2,000 dollars. After replying to the notice and attaching my termination agreement they "revised" the total to be about $150 to cover additional cleaning fees and utilities. I really hope other previous tenants didn't just pay this and not assume the management company is right. For the money, it's worth looking at the sister properties (Flyway, etc) if you're tied to the downtown kenmore area as they seem to be nicer but they do share the same management company so your mileage may vary.

Since the change of management from Spencer 68 to a cheaper version which is a temp agency everything is so bad. 1. The office is unresponsive to your emails and questions. Unless of course they are emails about paying rent. They are sure to respond to those but not other complaints and questions. 2. There are constant issues with break ins and attempts to enter apartments when you are gone. 3. We scheduled to have our dishwasher looked at and we told them they can come at 3 different times so we can be in our unit during the work. They refused to respond, showed up to our door when nobody was there, unlocked the door and came in and did the work. "This is line is purely to demonstrate how mad I am as a resident of Spencer 68 that I needed to add this sentence" ...back to the issues. 4. They do not maintain any of the communal equipment. Everything is always broken or doesn't work. Overall, for the price that this place charges their residents it is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT!

Amy was not actually the first realtor I contacted, but the first guy told me straight off that I would have to compromise on what I wanted (!).  The second guy was so overbearing and mansplainy in our first call I could barely get a word in.  Finally a friend told me to contact Amy, and I was so glad they did! I'm not the highest-end buyer, but she took tons of time to walk me through the whole thing.  She was willing to visit places with me for months, even though I kept not liking any of them.  She didn't pressure me, she didn't tell me to not want what I wanted, and when I apologized for wasting her time told me thatI wasn't. She was willing to look at places that I brought to her.  And when I did find a place I wanted, but was asking more money than I really wanted to spend, she helped me make an offer, and worked back and forth with the selling agent.  When things got to a head and I told her I would walk away, she once again didn't tell me I was making a horrible mistake or try to pressure me into doing something I wasn't comfortable with.  During the entire process she patiently answered my million questions via text (and email). At the end of the day I ended up buying a place I love.  Without her unflagging enthusiasm, I probably would have given up.  She was exactly the realtor I needed.and I can't recommend her enough!

As a first time home buyer I was immediately put at ease when first meeting Amy and knew I could trust her experience and expertise. In no time she found a home that met my criteria. She was diligent and painstaking in researching the appropriate house and neighborhood for me. As I was a first time home buyer, I lacked the understanding of the home purchase process so Lauren went through the home buying process in great detail and ensured that I had a solid understanding of the process. She went above and beyond during our home tours, pointing out pros and cons of each house and researching on each house afterwards. She was very determined in finding the house which is the good fit for me. I really appreciated her flexibility when touring homes and her client-first attitude. I have had great pleasure working with Lauren for my home search.

She was always on time and seeing her friendly professional persona was a confidence booster. As a Trustee, I wanted to sell a house in Newcastle. Lauren confidently explained to meet what she felt we needed to do to the house to sell it for our asking price. I am so happy I had Lauren as my realtor. Her suggestions and her dedication to spending the time necessary to stage the house (with some of her own personal belongings) to make it show well was fantastic. Her production of the video and pictures were beautiful. She spent a substantial amount of effort to advertise the listing. Her communications with me were always first-class. I was never in doubt what to do. She always came back to me with options and her thoughts for us to review. There were two comps when we put the house on the market. One comp is still on the market at a much lower price than they first advertised. The second comp is in escrow at a major decrease from the original listing. Lauren was able to get the house sold in 3 weeks at a very minor decrease from our asking price. The realtor from the home that is still available asked Lauren what she thought she should do to sell the house. Now that should tell you all you need to know. Get Lauren to sell your house.

I recently purchased a condo (June 2018) that switched to Northwest Condo Services as its management company. It took 12 weeks after close of my condo to get into the condo call-box (September 2018), and longer than that to get an account assigned to me so that I could pay my condo dues! To be fair, Northwest Condo Services took over as property management 3 weeks after I closed, but I contacted them before the transition, and after the transition in July 2018 I contacted them every other week about getting in the call-box and being able to pay my dues. I even called the call-box company and sent NW Condo Services the instructions on how to get me in the call-box but it still took many weeks after that for any action. With their lack of response, I definitely would not trust doing automatic withdrawals to pay my monthly condo dues so now I have to handle that extra overhead.
