We had a long journey ahead of us so booked a table for 3 for 6.30pm and fell through the door at opening time. There's a nice bar and a spacious yet cosy lounge with big sofas and comfy chairs. Lounge and Restaurant was a bit of an off-putting description for me but that's what it is and it was a very pleasant surprise. I had to settle for Black Sheep but it was well kept and there was a good choice of draught lagers. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful and we sat with our drinks whilst looking through the menu. The place was cold as the heating had failed, it was sub-zero outside and little more inside. We were told that they were trying to do something about it and after enduring the cold for maybe thirty minutes a battery of electric heaters arrived as friends and family rallied round to keep the show on the road. Food was excellent, fresh and well cooked. My one quibble would be that it was over generous and the huge dishes of chips and salad were overwhelming and so some was wasted. Nevertheless we shall most certainly be back. This local restaurant deserves support and it was really busy by the time we left despite the appalling weather conditions. From butternut squash with goat cheese to Asian pork belly, every bite was unbelievable. The spiced rum mojitos were perfectly portioned and muffled and the desserts were a perfect ending to the meal. The staff made my day and I couldn't have asked for a better dinner experience during my one night in Lichfield. Do I recommend it? Without question and I can't wait to come back one day and share with others. This restaurant is perfection.

Now this is grand to the extreme. This mother is one stylish player with decadent furnishings and a sophisticated feel. What's more you get tables that light up, built in ice buckets and a real baby grand piano. To make me even giddier, they do fizz by the glass. Is this place for real? You don't even have to move because a delightful hostess will see to your every need (within reason). The drinks list is awesome too. If money is no object then go for a deluxe Champagne. Or try one of the zillion or so cocktails that will blow you away. If you want aged rums, no problem. Plus, you'll find some of the finest cognacs. James Bond wouldn't look out of place here. Turns out its an amazing town, historic and quaint meets college town energy. This club rivals most of the best venues in Philadelphia! 3 levels with a different vibe on each. Modern EDM/pop hits, 90s classics, and live piano/vocals on each different level the day I was there. Met some super friendly students and made friends. Drinks are cheap, coat check is cheap, atmosphere is great. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun and energetic night out.
