He demonstrated a depth and breadth of knowlege of matters important, trivial, tragic and funny and kept our attention through the two day travels. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enrichment. We saw picturesque areas, I was not wild about Anne of Green Gables, but was surprised at how fascinating the museum and house visit were. He recommended excellent places to eat and we had only pleasant surprises and no disappointments, except that the day we flew home gave warmth and glorious sunshine to everyone on the island, obviously a circumstance beyond his control. Would I return? Absloutely! Would I recomend his tours? ...in a heartbeat.

He tried to foil me with his Anne of Green Gables trivia but I prevailed! He took us to the "Lake of Shining Waters" and to "Green Gables" and on a trip around the island and to see the new bridge. We also got to stand on the quintessential red cliffs of the island. If you are in the area you have to use them for your tour. If I am ever back on PEI (which I sure home happens) I will be sure to take a tour from them!

We went out on a very sturdy fishing boat in beautiful weather and saw PEI from the harbor. We saw…read morelighthouses, wayfinders, sailboats, and new views of the shoreline at a calm pace (headway speed). There was a toilet/head and a pretty stocked bar on board. First Mate Carson and Captain Ken took great care of us and the highlights for the kids were steering the boat and searching for mermaids with provided binoculars as well as the lobster haul where everyone held some hefty lobsters! Nice view of the surroundings. Get to see, and pick up, lobsters. The bad: Boat is VERY rocky when it is not moving. You might get wet (but very slightly). Boat kept losing his flags. This is definitely a recommendation if you wish to learn about the island and the lobster industry.

We did a historical tour around Charlottetown, and we did a…read morefantasy fairy tour around Victoria Park (we were alone so it became a private tour for that one). We were pleased with both. Bring water. The good: The hostess (in old-fashioned costume) was very informative in both tours, and very bubbly. The Charlottetown tours was very fun to hear as she would tell us stories about the town (great fires, events that led to the Confederation meetings, hidden tunnels, etc.) Often stops in historical tours to explains some events. Some of the stops have seats. The bad: This is a fast pace walk, so if you are not really in shape, you might have difficulty following. The voice of the hostess can be buried by surrounding sounds (lawnmowers, other tour buses, etc.). The fairy tour is more a walk through a park/forest with stories (nothing to truly see but still nice). We were promised a bathroom break mid-tour but that did not happen. This was one of our favourite activity in PEI. I strongly suggest the historical tour.
