The Captain Chad and deck hand Phillip were awesome. Super friendly from beginning to the end of our trip. Being complete beginners at this sport the 3 hour trip was perfect. We were back at the dock a bit after 11:30 where the crew filleted our fish and we were on our way back to our campground where we BBQ'd our fish for lunch. Phillip spent extra time with my wife explaining how to fish and how the equipment worked. Phillip and Chad baited the hooks, took the fish off the hooks when you caught one and like I said above, cleaned them. We went home with some Mackerel and Cod. The cost is $ 50 Canadian, CASH ONLY/per person, Tax included in the price. Although they never hinted at it, there is a tip box on the boat and we definitely left a nice tip. It was kind of a last minute decision to go fishing and it is now one of our fondest memories of visiting PEI.

Fantastic lobster tour for families. I can't say enough about how much fun we had with Captain…read moreMark and Cody. We went out and pulled crab and lobster traps and had a fantastic meal on board. Mark did an excellent job explaining how lobster grow, are harvested and how the industry works. He was funny and entertaining. He and Cody were patient with our kids and answered lots of questions. The afternoon sailing was about 3 hours. After we pulled traps we ate a great lobster meal onboard. The lobster was prepared "PEI style" which means cooked but served cold. The boat leaves from the dock just behind the Lobster on the Wharf restaurant. It sails around the harbor in calm water to pull traps. Drinks are included in the price and alcoholic drinks are extra. The tours run at different times during the year depending on weather and the season. If you are looking for something fun to do on PEI, especially with kids, do this. You'll have a great lobster meal and and be entertained.

The cost now from PEI to Nova Scotia is $79 for the car and our three passengers. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast on board, plenty of hot coffee and some terrific sightseeing on the deck. We booked online and had no issues; reservations are a good idea as those without will be boarded last, space permitting.

We had a great experience on the Holiday Island ferry going from Caribou, NS to Wood Islands, PEI…read moreand back. We had booked our itinerary online before we left and so when we arrived, the operators quickly located our reservation and ushered us into the appropriate queue. Boarding was orderly and organized and the ship left promptly. The rest of the 75 minute trip was very pleasant. The weather was beautiful and the deck allowed for a lovely panoramic view of the Northumberland Strait. We saw small fishing boats pass by, with friendly fishermen waving lobsters at us. The concession stand sold tea and coffee, ice cream and snacks while the cafeteria served hot sandwiches and breakfast. They even had poutine, which was still deliciously unhealthy even if it featured pale (rather than the typical dark) gravy used in Québec. The 'green' side of me loved that disposal of waste was separated into compostable, recyclable, and then finally trash bins. Overall a great experience; although it was pricier (~$70) than driving to PEI on the Confederation Bridge (~$40), it saved us time rather than having to reroute our itinerary and was a more enjoyable experience sailing across the Strait.

He demonstrated a depth and breadth of knowlege of matters important, trivial, tragic and funny and kept our attention through the two day travels. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enrichment. We saw picturesque areas, I was not wild about Anne of Green Gables, but was surprised at how fascinating the museum and house visit were. He recommended excellent places to eat and we had only pleasant surprises and no disappointments, except that the day we flew home gave warmth and glorious sunshine to everyone on the island, obviously a circumstance beyond his control. Would I return? Absloutely! Would I recomend his tours? ...in a heartbeat.

He tried to foil me with his Anne of Green Gables trivia but I prevailed! He took us to the "Lake of Shining Waters" and to "Green Gables" and on a trip around the island and to see the new bridge. We also got to stand on the quintessential red cliffs of the island. If you are in the area you have to use them for your tour. If I am ever back on PEI (which I sure home happens) I will be sure to take a tour from them!

It's Canada's longest bridge at 8 miles long and the world's longest over ice covered water! They have a nice park and stop on the Charlottetown side where you can walk around a bit and also see fisherman boats and read historic plaques. If you're lucky, you'll see a few ospreys.

You only pay fees when leaving PEI. $20 Canadian dollars at the automated toll. Today was a beautiful drive, sunny, calm. However on our way into PEI it was pretty windy, white caps on the water & two hands on the steering wheel! There are 2 options to enter PEI.. bridge or ferry. This is by far the most efficient route to & from Halifax.

This review is based on our experience in the KOA Cavendish for 2 days in the month of July…read more When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and were assigned a campground. We also received access codes for the free WiFi, which you need one per device, more on that later. Unfortunately we later discovered that the sites were very small, so small that you had to share your electricity and water access points with your neighbor, and that your RV is directly in front someone else's RV. There are many activities for the children, which include a free hot dog roast on Sunday and daily hayrides, and the small but surprisingly deep pool (3m) was also semi-heated. The major letdown of this campground was the WiFi. It is available everywhere but is so slow (0.46 down, 0.01 up) that it is unusable. I couldn't fetch my email or do anything, really. The WiFi near the offices was much better, but still not acceptable for the price of a KOA.
