I would not rent through Harborview Realty again. They rented a unit at the Apollo for us number 1007. The unit was definitely in need of update. There was hardly anything in the kitchen to cook with not to mention that they need a new toaster and pots and pans. There was no room in the tiny closet because it was stuffed with the vacuum and laundry basket. We were told they had chairs for the beach with umbrellas in a storage unit. Every umbrella was broken in the chairs were rotted. They obviously are not in touch with the owner because this place was a disgrace. read more

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. We rented an expensive unit on Marco Island for the past three weeks. We had trouble from the start. This rental company could have cared less! First we couldn't get past the gate for about 45 min, then we walked in to a flooded toilet. Had to wait 2.5 hours for a plumber to come and remove the toilet from the floor to fix it. The condo was in disrepair and dirty. I understand the rental company doesn't own the unit, but they do represent the owners. We tried to reach out multiple times and they refuse to reply to us! It was so bad that we left a week early!! We just were not comfortable there! read more

Buyer/renter beware. We rented a VRBO (Anglers Cove condo- unit A503H) on Marco island FL that is managed by Harborview realty (Stephen Pahr and Jim McGregor.) The place was filthy dirty. Also, the condo did not have sufficient running water. Harborview realty was no help (they refused to move us to another unit, they refused to have someone out to clean the place.) Also, VRBO, did nothing. This is last time we will ever use VRBO. We left and moved to a hotel and Harborview realty and VRBO refuse to do anything for us. read more

Do not rent a property managed by these people. Rented VRBO on Marco Island - the place was dirty and the hot water was a trickle. A previous review noted same issue with cleanliness and hot water. We called to complain after arriving in the evening after a day of travel and flight delays. We had to wait for a plumber to fix a valve that had been broken since at least the mid January review. This company denied any previous knowledge of a hot water issue and denied any cleanliness issue. They refused to move us, didn't follow up after the repair, didn't offer to clean the unit and never apologized and said we were not owed any refund. I won't VRBO again and I would not trust this company. Steve Phar and the others in that office were useless. I'll be suing. read more

We have been coming to Marco for over 20 years and have never received such prompt and friendly service as we have with Harborview. This is our second year renting this unit in South Seas and we have already reserved it for next year. We accidentally incurred some damage to the kitchen and Dan followed up immediately and coordinated the work to get everything back to normal. We appreciate his hard work and kindness. read more

We stayed at #1004 in Gulfview Apts. at 58 N Collier Blvd on Marco Island from 01/05/24-03/01/24 and prepaid Harborview Rentals $15,987. On Dec 8, we were emailed pictures of the unit that depicted a view of the beach and sunsets from our balcony that were false because of the daily construction going on where we couldn't even access our balcony nor look out of it due to the blue film on the slider glass windows. Steve Pahr from Harborview failed to inform us that both the inside and outside of the building would be under renovation during the entire length of our stay. Had we been notified of such, we would've cancelled and received a full refund. Instead, we were exposed to toxic Tnemec priming and core drilling on the exterior and sanding/mudding/spray painting on the interior of the 10th floor hallway. The work on the West side of the building was obnoxiously loud due to power washing, concrete drilling and caulk removal by grinder. There was a black mesh cover hung that did little to contain the flying toxic debris and dust emanating from this. Our unit's balcony railing was removed on Feb 23 which added to the safety and health hazards we experienced that caused undue stress. The laundry room on the 10th floor was down to one washer due to a pipe leak and the multiple false fire alarms were disruptive. The construction noise began before 8 am six days a week and the workers were outside our unit windows on scaffolding which was an invasion of our privacy. We sent daily emails to Harborview apprising them of the aggravation of living through this construction nightmare complete with photo and video documentation to no avail. We asked for a $7500 refund to compensate us for this misleading and deceitful perception of the property and the best offer they could come up with was $4500 and vacating the unit 12 days early on Feb 19. This was not acceptable to us due to the increased cost to change our airfare that would not justify the monies received. read more

Yet these people want to keep my money. I would NEVER rent from such TERRIBLE people again. I don't know how they sleep at night knowing they are keeping people's money during a pandemic. My parents have rented for the past few years the same condo through Harborview Realty. They always had a pleasant experience and enjoyed staying in the same familiar unit. This year; however, they were not informed by, Steve Pahr- the realty manager, the unit was already rented for 2019. When my Mother called on Feb 15th 2018 to inquire about renting for next year the receptionist informed her the unit was rented. Surprised-as the agent had always been on top of communicating with my parents. My Mother asked to speak to said agent and was on hold for 20 minutes. She asked the receptionist to have the manager call her back. She never received a call back! Since they were in need of a rental for 2019 , and had not heard back, they asked family for a rental agency recommendation. When they turned in their keys to their rental on Friday, February 23, 2018 (a day early). They asked to speak to the rental manager while they were there. When Steve came out of his office he said that he had to go to an appointment and could only spare a moment. They spoke to him for one minute and eight seconds before he rushed off to his appointment. My parents told him that they were surprised that he had not returned the call as well as having NOT been notified the unit had already been rented and we had NOT been forewarned. I rented 1650 Galleon Ct. in 2013 and loved it. So when I decided to return to Marco Island, I didn't even shop around. I decided to rent through Harborview again and return to the same home. My family and I were very excited for this trip. Upon arrival, many bulbs were missing or not working in the lights and the house did not appear to be in as good of condition as the last time I rented. The master bath toilet had to be plunged by me so it could be used, the hand mixer did not work, one of the TV cable boxes did not work, and the whisk in the kitchen was ruined. Disappointing but deal breakers. Where it all fell apart was late the first night we stayed. My daughter came out of the bedroom she was sleeping in screaming there was a huge bug in her room. I went and captured the bug. It certainly looked like a cockroach to me. I put the bug in a bag and began looking around the house. I found numerous carcasses of the same type of bug. This was Saturday. I waited until Monday to contact the rental company because I was trying not to utilize the emergency number. We also found live and dead silverfish in the house over the weekend. Monday morning, when I brought the still living bug to the Harborview, they blew it off and said it was a common Palmetto bug and they would try to get the pest control company out. I don't think the pest control company every showed. I later learned that Palmetto bug is just a nickname for the common American cockroach. We found 2 more live cockroaches in the home during our week long stay. Harborview said they set up some glue traps at some point, but I can't say where. The best part is, my wife and I were getting red itchy spots during our stay. We assumed they were from something outside biting us and we were not noticing it. However, after I fell asleep on the couch one night, I noticed I did not have any additional bites, but my wife did. I tore apart the master bed and I can't say for sure, but between the bites and some of the evidence I found, I believe bed bugs were the cause of the bites. None of my kids had bite marks on them. Harborview didn't seem to be too concerned with any of this, almost like I was making all of this up. This is not what I expect when I pay $1600/week to rent a home. I will not rent from Harborview again nor will I stay at that home. read more
