This place opens at 11 in the morning. It's next to the Ocean Park, It has a nice view of Manila bay and close to Luneta Park. They offer Filipino food especially seafood. A lot of people will say that it's pricey but they need to understand that the location of the restaurant plus labor is expensive so I understand why the price is the way it is. Also the portion size is good for two people. They don't have their own WiFi but there is a public WiFi that you can use to take pictures for Instagram. They also accept Credit and Debit Card. I'm giving it a 4 star review because there is still room for improvements. - Find a way to open earlier than 11 am. - Have your own WiFi exclusive for guest. - Work on presentation, because millennials like me like to post pictures on Instagram. - Few improvements with the servers and the service. - Improvements with online orders and delivery. Overall I will recommend this place for locals, foreigners and balikbayans.

Slightly pricey but the view is beautiful. I'm so glad Roxas boulevard was cleaned up, I used to ride a ferry here when I was younger. Food was good but wet also knew what to order.

A few weeks ago, we were invited to lunch at Sabreen's Seafood Market Restaurant along J. Bocobo…read moreSt. in Malate. It is located just across from Hizon's. Parking is available in front (free), but is limited. They have a guard who can watch over your car. Sabreen's Seafood Market Restaurant is newly-renovated from the previous Seafood Market, and is under new management. The current owner was a regular customer who decided to take over when the previous owner planned to sell. When I entered Sabreen's, I couldn't believe such a nice restaurant existed in the heart of Malate. The decor is very luxurious for a "palutuan" - with velvet chairs and Mediterranean touches, and a COOL AIRCON, a definite must in the Manila heat! SABREEN'S SEAFOOD MARKET RESTAURANT INTERIORS There is a very nice waiting area that greets you when you enter. Once you enter the restaurant, on the right, you'll see the seafood display section where you can pick out what you would like to have cooked. Here's what the restaurant interiors look like (see pics). There are some Mediterranean touches inside the restaurant (see pics). You can watch your food being cooked -- there are see-through windows to the kitchen: FOOD "SHOPPING" After reserving a table, we went "shopping" for our food. The meal was a treat so I don't know how much our orders came out to. There is generally no cooking charge, except for maybe special orders. You are charged the price of the seafood you buy, the cooking is already included in the seafood price. THE FOOD We started with the Clam Ginger Soup. It was light and clean tasting, a perfect start to our seafood fiesta. We also ordered some Baked Scallops and some Crab in Chili Sauce. For some semblance of healthy eating, we had this Mixed Vegetables with Oyster Sauce, which was actually quite good. It was smoky yet delicately flavored, I didn't even mind that it was vegetarian and ate a lot of this. We also had some Grilled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce. One of my favorites is the Fried Squid. I think it was Salt & Pepper Squid. It had a light batter, the squid was cooked just right, it was tender and not tough. It went really well with the accompanying vinegar. My other favorite dishes were the Fried Shrimp in Chili Sauce and the Crab in Chili Sauce. The sweet meat of the perfectly cooked crab was addictive. I wish I could have eaten more of the shrimp, too, but they were gone in 60 seconds! We also ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice, which had A LOT of pineapple chunks which was okay with me, but others who didn't like pineapple so much thought that it was too much pineapple. Here's the Steamed Lapu-Lapu (see pic). The Lapu-lapu was alive just a few minutes ago and was even jumping around in our cart! I have a thing about overcooked steamed fish and this was not overcooked. Awesome. Fresh, fresh, fresh! Since no one seemed interested in them, I ate the fish cheeks and fish meat at the back of the fish head, the yummiest parts, IMHO. If you know how to eat steamed fish, you know what I'm talking about! It's just not so pretty because they made a slit on the fish to make it cook more evenly and avoid overcooking. SUMMARY During the course of our meal, we saw a lot of foreigners patronizing the restaurant, so I think it is a good place to take relatives or foreign guests for a seafood meal if you don't want to venture too far, especially if they are staying in the Malate / Manila area. It is also a very nice place for a family meal, and it's big enough to accommodate the entire clan. Sabreen's is also much cleaner than going seafood shopping at Dampa. You can wear your nice clothes / shoes and not worry about getting palengke gunk on them. The renovations were done very well - the place looks like a palace! The food is fresh, especially if you go for the live fish, crabs or lobsters! The experience of choosing your food at a restaurant before it is cooked is usually a unique experience for most people, and it's something that your guests will remember for a long time. Also, I'm all praises for the cooks who turned out such delicious, mouthwatering dishes so quickly! I was happy with all the food we had. Even the simple vegetable dishes were perfectly done.

It was really hard to say what my favorite dish was because everything was so delicious and incomparable. What we ordered: -Garlic, chili shrimp: Oh my gosh. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!! It was flavored, seasoned just right. It had a sweet little taste to the flavoring and my assumption is that it was due to the butter in the PI. I would HIGHLY recommend getting this! -Tenigue sinigang: I've never had fresh tenegue until visiting the Philippines. Tenigue is delicious - it has a similar taste and texture to tuna. Add Tenigue in sinigang and wow - how delicious!! The thick, flakey texture adds so much depth to the sinigang. -Bulalo: I didn't try this but my brother ate the whole bowl and didn't really share with the rest of the group. *eye rolls* anyway, he must have enjoyed it a lot since he didn't share. The only thing he mentioned was the fact that it didn't have enough of "fat" -Fried Tenigue: Another variation of Tenigue. So good!! I dipped it in Patis and Calamansi. -Fried tilapia: I mean, it's basically fresh, fried tilapia and what else can you ask for? But if you're just gonna order fried seafood, I'd pair it with their veggies or their pinakbet. -Pinakbet: We got our pinakbet without any shrimp since my mom has a shrimp allergy. Without the shrimp, it was amazing!! I loved the mix of veggies. The veggies were cooked really well too - it wasn't too soggy which could happen really easily. I can only assume that the pinakbet bet with shrimp probably taste better. Other tips/hints: -Free, fast WiFi. It was great for travelers like me! -Parking. Easy to find and there was a small fee.

Or maybe perhaps this restaurant really offers affordable and quality food choices. Aside from their dimsum, I usually dine at Golden Fortune for their shabu-shabu promo hours. Me and my dining companions usually order up a storm whenever we're here. And despite how many dishes we order, the bill still comes out cheap. All the more reason to dine here again and again. Make sure to get both the sate and original soup to get the best of both broths. Must orders would have to be: tao pao, lamb, beef, lobster balls, watercress, corn, tofu, squid balls and udon.

I can taste the lovely bitterness of the tea leaves this was extracted from. It almost tasted like a real fresh, literal tea with ice. Even the slight flavor of lemon sweetened by honey was oh-so delicious. It was the most perfect Iced tea I ever had in the Philippines! Oh, they also have an awesome Bagoong Rice.
