Everything from initial contact on was handled well. Good and pleasant front desk staff, and getting the prescription accepted and setting up visits. Chris who has been working on my shoulder issue has been a genuine pleasure to work with and seems very skilled in the work done on my jammed up muscle - and in the exercises. read more

Impossible to get a hold of. You have to leave a message and they return a call right before closing and then refuse to answer their line even though it's before 5. The order was faxed from my MD's office 2x and they still say they don't have it. Finally no open appointments for over a month. Thanks for running me around for a week. I'll go to Crest PT which is run very professionally. read more

I have been treated by Dr Mike O'Donnell on many occasions (and a couple of the others when Mike has been away) for several different injuries and after several different surgeries. He has proven time and time again that he is great at not only what he does, but at training his staff as well. When your Physical Therapist is so good and doing a great job, it encourages you to do your best. He also expects the best from his staff and leads by example. He's the best, the staff is the best and if at any time I'm feeling that something is not kinda going well, I feel I can bring it up and it's not a problem at all. We go through it and all is good. You feel comfortable and the best part? They'll fix what's wrong with you the best they know how but let's not forget, as I've learned with my many appts, ¾ of the work is us, the patient/client. We get told/taught how and what to do at home after our appts and it's up to us to do our 'home'work. I highly recommend Harbor Physical Therapy group for all your needs. read more

Called and no one answers then I receive a text from them and I reply back that I would like to schedule an appointment and I am first time patient and never hear back. Communication is very unprofessional and I will find another physical therapy place since they can't even return my phone call or text message! read more

I have been seeing Emily Moon at Harbor Physical Therapy for 7 months to help me recover from 2 foot surgeries. Feet are extremely difficult and complicated to treat. Emily has gone above and beyond to help me recover and get the best results possible. She is a USC graduate and knows her stuff. Not only is she knowledgeable, she's compassionate, attentive and always has a positive attitude. The rest of the staff is friendly and also ready to help. I highly recommend! read more

Wendy Shiga has been a top notch physical therapist from day one. i had reverse shoulder replacement surgery and I was actually afraid to use my arm at all. Wendy gave me confidence to do so and more. Her deep massage technique has given me such relief from the pain. She, instinctively, knows what areas to work. She says I am responding well and continues to advance my progress with a higher degree of resistance. We finish off the sessions with electric stimulation therapy which gives me relief with pain and swelling. I would highly recommend Wendy and staff. read more

They use a software system to give you the exercises at home and the sessions are so helpful. What a great team of people at this office! read more

New patient and I was seeking a highly rated place. I was having trouble finding a reasonable appointment schedule and this place accommodated me by letting me know of a cancellation. Other places automatically told me to wait a month or longer for a new appointment. Adrienne was very professional and direct. She identified the root of the problem, took measurements before rehab, then compared them with post-rehab measurements. I was impressed with the visible improvement from the therapy. She formulated a plan for getting me back on track with my health goals. I am very pleased with just the first visit. Peace read more

I really like the facility and staff at this place. Mike, the owner, is top-notch and I also worked a lot with Tara O'Brien who was so helpful, responsive, caring and really took an interest in my individual recovery. She listens and offers solutions based on what you're experiencing. You can see she does this for all her patients. The techs/assistants are professional and so helpful you are never at a loss for how to proceed. Before Covid, the facility was very busy almost every time I went, but they still make sure you get the help and attention you need. Letti runs the place from the front desk and is an amazing, kind and competent person. I had a total knee replacement in 2019 by Dr. Silvino, and I was glad I went to Harbor PT and was able to go as much as I did. It made all the difference. read more

I've never before written a health provider review, but I felt compelled in this particular case. My primary doctor referred me to Harbor PT for issues with my neck, low back and sciatica. My doctor felt that the owner, Michael O'Donnell "knows his stuff." However, when I started PT there in early 2014, I was assigned therapist Alice Wang, rather than O'Donnell. Although I eventually introduced myself to O'Donnell, I was never treated or evaluated by him. All the office staff and therapists were nice and, to varying degrees, knowledgeable. But, early on, I noticed that they would tend to over-book, where they would be treating too many patients at one time. Sometimes one therapist would make an exercise technique suggestion that would run counter to what Wang had suggested and I had to correct him or her. Even when I was having a hands-on treatment from Wang, she would often be very distracted with other patients in the room. Nonetheless, I carried on, including following their home excerscise prescriptions to the letter. My in-office therapy went OK until week seven, where I suffered a huge flare-up in my sciatica a few hours after treatment. The pain/discomfort was incredibly higher than I've ever experienced before. Those symptoms deceased a bit in the next week and a half. But in week nine, I had another major flare-up, which has become chronic and life altering. Where I could once walk vigorously for over an hour, I can now walk only 10 or so minutes without discomfort or pain. Standing in one place, to make a sandwich in the kitchen or water the plants in the garden, which before could be a minor problem, is all of a sudden impossible. Alice Wang and Harbor PT have refused to take any responsibility for my horrendous outcome, even suggesting to my primary doctor that the problem might have occurred outside of PT. I wholeheartedly believe this is not the case, as I did nothing else on those therapy days that provoked any low-back pain that could cause a sciatica flare-up. In fact, post-therapy activity on those two flare-up days was very light. Also, if you're still interested in treatment there, be aware that the parking is often impossible. I have at least one door ding to prove it. read more

I have been in pain with my hips for 9 years. I had gone through 4 doctors and 3 physical therapists, however, to no avail. Finally I was recommended to HPT and I have to say that they brought me back to my pre-pain days. I am so grateful to everyone on the staff there, starting the wonderful Leti, the doctors and to the therapists, especially my personal favorite and amazing Christopher Canlas. Through his experience and dedication, he knows exactly what the root cause of the pain is! They collectively have one goal in mind, and that is to help you. All of staff are hard working, knowledgeable, professional and up to date with the latest; sympathetic to your ailment, helpful and dedicated to their craft. They have a sense of humor and are incredible to work with, and I am almost sad that the therapy has ended but, on the other hand, I have not felt this well in nine years! Thank you, HPT!!!! read more

I called this facility & asked abt the services they provide & if they can contact my insurance for me to know exactly how much is my copay. I have an MD referral for PT & I also want to use my chiro & massage insurance benefits. Lady told me that I should check my insurance myself & beginning March, clients are to contact their own insurance to know their benefits because it is too much work for them to be doing that. I told the lady I know my benefits & my co-insurance, but I do not know how much you charge, and I want to know how much is my out of pocket because I am not coming in for a 10x PT session, but more than 2x a week for a long time, possibly the whole 2022. Lady said I have to come in for an assessment before she can call my insurance and let me know the out of pocket. LADY is lazy, she should be fired. My benefit from my insurance includes 125 combined PT, OT and speech therapy. Aside from the provision for massage, chiro and others. My MD referred me to a specific PT facility, but I am shopping around because I plan to use all of my benefits & is looking for the least out of pocket for me. All the other PT facilities I called first asked for my insurance info before entertaining more questions. When they call me back, they were able to provide out of pocket costs. Harbor Physical Therapy is the only one who was LAZY to verify my insurance and benefits. If front desk is lazy, what kind of service can you expect from this facility? read more

Just started PT at Harbor with Alice Wang and the entire staff. Everyone on this team is knowledgeable, dedicated, and friendly. Have made immediate progress on my L-5 issues, radiculopathy, etc. The HPT team maintains a relaxing, friendly atmosphere while clearly providing high standards of care in the therapy. Often I find the jovial spirit alleviating the pain. Sometimes in life, and seemingly often in Healthcare services, there appears a gap between expectations and reality.
