Before Christmas my wife took several pictures to the frame shop to have them order the material to frame the pictures. The complete order was simple- no mats to be cut and no assembly. When my wife went to pick up the order he had forgotten to order one of the frames and didn't complete the order properly. I was going to assemble the frames myself. An example of the owners work included cutting glass too long for one frame and actually making another frame 4 inches too long. He attempted to cut this one down and messed it up. He then either had to order new frame stock and re-cut it or he tried to cut the original down, but even after this the new frame is 1/8 inch too small. I called the shop and the lady that works there told me to bring it in and they would do a "frame-ectomy" on it. When asked what this was- she stated they just gouge out the wood on the back and make it fit. On the second trip into his shop, I went with my wife and explained the problem. I observed him re-measure for the frame cut down and he still was not able to make it to fit the piece of art. In addition, when he measure for the frame the first time, he priced the frame out using that dimension. When we went back in to have him re-measure, I asked him about the difference in prices. I was left with the impression that he would not have adjusted the price if he wasn't asked about the difference. He insinuated that because I had owned a frame shop in the past that he would give a price refund but it sounded as if he would not have done this for any other customer. As a customer, I would avoid Don and his shop. I was going to save him time by assembling the frames and pictures my self yet he still charged according to the computer he uses for pricing. There was no offer of a reduced price when he messes up the order and there was also no real apology for the mistakes. Having owned a frame shop for 16 years and attending one of the best framing schools in the country I would expect other framers to be honest in his business practices and the way he treats his customers. Additionally, the frame that he had to cut down still doesn't fit the art piece. I am not sure what to do because I no longer have an account to purchase new frame stock and I sure don't trust Don and his shop. read more

This was my first visit in and I am very happy with the work done and with the staff. It was a large print that needed the glass replaced after it got broken during moving. It was a custom framed print and a favorite of both my husband and myself. The work was ready the very next day and they used Conservation glass to keep it from fading and prevent UV damage. I was super happy with their work.. it was like magic! It looked pristine like when I first got it. Don and Pat are so nice to work with and took great care of my art. read more

This framing store has a catchy name and the proprietor is very personable. Unfortunately my experience and the end product were very troublesome. I had brought two 8x10 photographs to be matted and framed. I was given a delivery date and time and I went on my way. The delivery date was key as I was due to get on a plane the morning following the promised delivery time. When I arrived, the job had not even been started. The proprietor remained calm and completed the matting and framing while I was there. The quality of the frame corners was terrible and he tried filling in the gaps with a load of filler. It still looked terrible. I have not returned since this job was completed. read more
