Currently pregnant and have been looking for a foot massage place locally, since my feet have been my biggest issue. I came across Harbor Foot Massage on Yelp, saw the great reviews and decided to give them a try. When you walk in there's a small lobby and you have the option to either have your massage in a private room for an extra fee or out in the general area with possibly up to five other guests. The layout is six massage beds, three rows - with two side by side. My husband and I decided to go in the general area, which at first may seem off putting or uncomfortable but really wasn't because everyone is focused on their own peace/quiet/relaxation. You have a towel over your eyes for added privacy/relaxation and the soft music in the background makes it feel like you are in your own world. My masseuse was Ana (for the majority of it) and she was great... applied the perfect amount of pressure and focused on my problem areas in my feet. The Second Lady was good, a little softer with her technique, but moving forward I'd request Ana. My husband and I decided on the hour long foot massage, which also included a full body massage. The employee spent more time focusing on my feet, as I requested but my husband enjoyed the more in depth massage he received. My daughter and I went and chose the 90 minute private massage for $90. I got the WORST massage I have ever had. The massage therapist didn't ask if it was ok or if I was warm(room was freezing) and the proceeded to just push on my back over and over. He never once massaged my head, face, arms, hands or legs. He briefly massaged my neck. I would think in 90 min everything should have been done. It usually is. I try to go twice a month for my MS and now have to wait two weeks till I can go to someone that actually cares. The receptionist followed us outside to ask what was wrong the tip was too low. I come here pretty regularly. Spa places people pay double the price seems like a joke now, thats what i used to do. $45/1 here seems well worth it to me. You don't have to get completely naked, but if you're weird about private rooms, they have those available for a little bit of a higher price. Ohhhh. My. Gosh!! My husband and I just had one of the most amazing massages of our lives. I saw Leah and He saw Anna. Anna's technique is a lot more gentle, which is perfect for my husband. I on the other hand would love to be hooked up to tow straps and drug around the yard just to get my back to release. So Leah was a PERFECT fit for me. I was bent into a pretzel, my legs were thrown up in the air over and over only to be caught at the last second, she put my arms behind my back like they were little wings, she then came up behind me- looped arms with me and we preformed a beautiful dance together. Several moments I felt like I was having a near death experience only to be slapped out of it. It all came to a stop with the softest touch I had felt in the last 1.5 hours and a sweet voice saying "All done. Get dressed." If you aren't familiar, This type of massage facility is a large room shared with others, with your clothes on. You will be required to wear a mask, but honestly you have to wear a mask everywhere now days so that's obvious. After getting your neck and arms massaged, you will flip over onto your back for your feet then legs and finally your back. My massage therapist checked in with me frequently regarding pressure and comfort. I never once felt uncomfortable during the entire process! Tips- Bring cash for payment if possible. Took a last minute, whirlwind vacation to Gig Island and knew I wanted to get a massage. The reviews here is what made me choose this place. I'm a massage therapist of 13 years and have had the good fortune of experiencing some phenomenal sessions, but they're few and far between. Took a chance I'd get someone good here and booked a 90 minute table session. Boy, am I glad I did. Made an appointment a week in advance and I would assume they don't get that very often because when I made the appointment, he didn't even ask my name or phone number. Okey-dokey. I did not ask my therapist for his name (my bad), but could tell right away he had experience. Asked for extra attention on my plantar fasciitis and lower leg - and he did a fantastic job. It's frustrating to get a massage and ask for focus on a particular area and the therapist never gets around to it; or does, but does a bad job of it. I read a review here, where the person complained she was injured and the session hurt so much from too much pressure. Okay, so got to say this . . . COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR THERAPIST. If the pressure is too much or too little, it's your place to speak up. (Off my soapbox now). I had to ask him to lighten up, he did, and the pressure was perfect. He did a back technique I never experienced before (and it was very effective in releasing tension). I told him so - and so he did it a lot more. Yay! The walls of the individual rooms do not connect with the ceiling, so you can hear what's going on in the main room. That did not bother me - still got my therapeutic session. Such a gem here in the Harbor. Now, it isn't a typical luxury massage where you have your own private room and all the fancy oils - but for 35 dollars, all your knots and aches are massaged away. Just wrapped up my first experience here and wanted to do the review immediately while I was still in Lala land! I have been to a foot massage place one other time, but decided to try the full body Chinese massage. How can you beat $35 for one hour? As a sidenote, you will notice that their pricing does not even include a one hour foot massage. But the guy who walked in after me asked for that and they said they can do that for the same exact price. I wanted to break down my experience on here for any of those who want to know exactly what you're getting yourself into. First of all, the room is filled with a number of massage tables. I imagine you could also request one of the private rooms but the default appears to be that you are in the open area with other people. You leave your clothes on the entire time, however they will occasionally push your pant legs up or tuck a towel into the back of your pants. He also lifted up my shirt when I was on my tummy and asked if he could unsnap my sports bra for the back massage. It was done discreetly and never felt slimy. Plus, when you're on your back, you have a towel over your eyes and when you are on your tummy, your face is in the hole of the massage table so other customers are never looking at you anyway. The experience starts on your back with a warm foot soak. They will work on your scalp, neck, traps, hands,arms and in this position. I love hard pressure but at one point it was a little too deep for even me and he knew how to perfectly back it off as soon as I mentioned it was a bit hard (mostly on one shoulder where I have an injury). He seemed to spend a much longer chunk of time on my feet which I really enjoyed! Before rolling you over they do some deep stretches by bending your knees up to your chest and over to the side to stretch your back. Once you are rolled over onto your tummy, they do some very deep pressure work on the back, legs, scapula and on top of your traps where I always seem to carry my tension. The only negative I can think of is that one hour went by way too quickly! I can't think of anywhere else where you could get a better massage for such an incredible price. I strongly recommend this place. Hopefully when the secret gets out, they will be able to accommodate the influx of customers! read more

I just tried this place for the first time last week, and have already been back a 2nd time. I didn't know what to expect, and it was absolutely amazing for $35. The 'foot massage' for 1 hr for $35 is really a fully massage. The first half you soak your feet in warm water while they are massaging your head/neck/shoulders, and the second half they do your feet and then your back.
