Great service (especially from Mike) and convenient if you're going to Mammoth Cave. I would like to talk about the smell though. In the halls, it always smelled something like coco butter and our room smelled like alcohol (might have been the disinfectant), but overall, very enjoyable!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here again. At check in they put us on the first floor which is the floor for pets. We love pets, we have pets, we did not travel with pets. The room smelled so bad of stinky, wet dog that our clothes smelled when we changed out of them 45 minutes later. Thick cloying, wet dog smell. We asked for a new room immediately but the desk staff needed the managers approval before switching us. We finally did get switched-- 30 minutes later to a smaller room on a different floor with no price adjustment and no apology. I was happy the room did not smell this time-- BUT-- there were several dead cockroaches in the room. The next morning we asked for the dead roaches to be vacuumed up and then we had to ask again that afternoon. (they did finally vacuum up the roaches) The room was an ADA room and the blinds were broken but it did not smell like dog. Breakfast day one- with 75 minutes left on the breakfast time most all the food was wiped out (eggs, yogurts, milk, oj) and ALL the tables were dirty. It was a busy summer morning with lots of kids running around why would they have not planned for the crowd? Breakfast day two-- much better. Clean and stocked. (and two people working) This was by no means the Hampton Inn we depend on. I will not be back.

The rooms and property are filthy and feel like a crime scene. Old dilapidated rooms. No hot water in shower at night the whole stay. Only 3 channels on the TV... No one came to clean room, change sheets, towels the whole stay despite repeatedly asking. Toilet paper ran out and they didn't bring more as they said they only worked mornings. They never even came to our room. Barely anyone was staying in the hotel. No clean towels. There were other poroblems with room but you get the idea how bad it was. I was then locked out of room at night as card stopped working and their was no one to provide a new card. A sign was left on counter that they were helping a guest with their room which was false. I walked around property looking for someone for ages, came back and repeatedly hit the bell. Then the Indian owner finally came out of office where he had been asleep.... And then after leaving the hotel he decided to charge our card for nights we weren't even there, not the agreed upon rate, plus a $25 fee for leaving at 11:05am. Check out is 11am. We've disputed it all with bank. There are some great hotels in Glasgow. We chose this because it was cheaper. You get what you pay for. Steer clear of this one. There was no refund so couldnt leave. Horrible experience

Called in two days later to add an extra day, called the number on Apple Maps, hit 2 to talk to the front desk. The lady that answered was rude as hell. I told her we would be checking in, in the early morning hours of the 11th, between 3-5am, asked do I need to add an extra day, she said yes. Fine no problem. Through the whole phone call, she kept saying I didn't call their number to book it, and told her it's the same number I just called. Pretty much saying that wasn't true. Fine whatever move on. Drive 13 hours, get there at 5:30am in the morning. Walk in, and was told I was charged for the full amount the day before because that's when I was supposed to be there. Told them about the conversation I had with the front desk, and surprisingly, none of them could remember the call. Fine whatever, give me the key I need sleep. Go to the room, walk in and smacked with the smell of mildew. Then go look at the couch and it has two spots of mold growing on the couch. Instantly walk out go straight to the front desk tell them I'm leaving and going somewhere else to stay. I ask for a refund, they said since I didn't call them to book, fine, I'll call Choice Hotels. Call Choice Hotels, they state they will send the request to the GM to issue the refund. Great, no problem. Or so I thought. Get a call from the hotel later that day, stating pretty much that the GM isn't refunding me. I had a lot going on that day so I told them I will be there Monday to talk to the GM. Get there Monday he isn't there. Call Choice Hotels, and argue with them for over 45 minutes, and it ended with them telling me to call the hotel. Call the Hotel back, GM is still gone, call back few hours later, GM gone still. Called back the next day, 3 times, GM isn't there. This joker must have endless vacation days, for all the times he isn't there. I will post this review on every review site I can until the GM calls me back, and handles the refund. I see Hotel Management comments on every review so we will see if this gets a phone call.

If friendly staff are a must for you, you might consider this hotel. Staff were not overly friendly, but they weren't rude either. If a nice, well thought out, and creatively presented breakfast is a must for you, you will definitely want to look elsewhere. We are here for 3 nights and the breakfast is always the same. You have your choice of up to 4 small waffles or 1 large waffle. You can then choose from Orange or Apple juice. At the next stop, you may choose between fruit loops cereal or Post Raisin Bran. You will then find a basket of red apples, with the store sticker still on them (indicating they have not been washed). For the last stop, the offerings are banana/strawberry or peach flavored yogurts. It's like Ground Hog day, the same offerings day after day. We chose not to utilize housekeeping (we just swapped out our towels), but the same guy running the breakfast is the housekeeper as well. One last thing about the room. There are no drawers, but any place you might put your clothes is open. There is a nice closet with nice looking doors for hanging pieces. Overall, the beds were comfortable and the stay was pleasant.

We got a king suite with jacuzzi. The bed was WONDERFULLY comfortable. The jacuzzi was such a treat. The jets worked as they should. Our walk-in shower is awesome. Mini fridge/microwave worked flawlessly. The pool was small but just what you needed after a hot day. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience from top to bottom. If we come to cave city again, we'll be staying there! Thanks Lena!

I loved having extra space to set up my laptop and work area without having to do that in the same room as my bed. Plus, both the living room area and the bedroom have TVs. Both stays, my room was extra quiet and I never experienced any noise or issues. The hotel's neighborhood feels new. A few restaurants and a coffee shop are within walking distance, and the soccer field/recreational complex is right there. Ironically, I could see two free-standing ERs from the hotel; thankfully I didn't have any emergencies and need them. The hotel sells some snack food items, but if you need gas or want fast food, you will have to drive for that. The free included breakfast is highly worth waking up early for and delicious. I recommend the made-to-order omelets. I filled out my omelet form first, then got coffee and fruit and found a seat. By then, my omelet was done. I loved that the breakfast buffet has fountain soda Coke products. The bar area had a fun happy hour with some free snacks, and I got a card for two free drinks each day, likely because my reservation was booked through a loyalty program. I'm not sure if everyone gets this, but if you do, take advantage of it. The hotel bar downstairs also plays whatever sport is in season on TV. If you're here for a conference or meeting (I was), the conference rooms are large and spacious. If you're hosting a conference, several rooms are available and this is probably the best option in town for that. Parking is free and chargers for electric cars are in the lot. I didn't use the fitness room or pool, but they looked nice. The gym has a Peleton bike. If you want to run or walk, I recommend outside because the area is fairly calm, and the park is close by. The only negative I've experienced here is that one of my in-room hair dryers was terrible and barely worked at all. If you're picky about your hair dryer or any sort of shower/bath products, I encourage you to bring your own. So far this is the only Embassy Suites hotel I've stayed in, but I have a great impression of the brand now. I'd stay here again and also seek out Embassy Suites on a personal or business trip.

If I were going to give a down check, it would be the very pricey restaurant that is on the property. Very good, but very pricey. We usually opt to get a delivered pizza! Mary, the bartender for the managers reception and Damian, treat us very personably almost like family. We don't mind spending a couple extra dollars there due to that. And another thing, they have an automatic toaster at the breakfast area that toasts perfectly the first time and every time! I wish all the Embassy Suites would buy that particular electronic toaster! Keep up the great work!
