Broken shower bar with hole in wall

We stayed there in October of 2024 and it was the worst experience weve ever had staying anywhere. They double charged our credit card and refused to refund any of it, the room was in bad shape, the exterior had trash and cigarette buts on the ground, and the last day we were they had NO hot water and we were unable to take showers. When I asked to talk to the manager I was told that "He was not there and didn't know when he would be". I asked what the managers schedule was so l could call I was told that he just comes and goes throughout the day and they never know when he will be there. I called their corporate customer service number and, though I was told they would take care of, they never did.

So in all my reviews in all kinds of places this is my first ever 1 star review. I would highly recommend against staying at this hotel unless you have no other choices. The only positive is the woman at the front desk (new employee) was very nice and polite but the GM and Owner do not care about their customers. The place is in very bad disrepair. Black mold, broken furtinture, holes in walls and doors. We stayed here because the website said for $25 they allow late checkout which was important for us as we had to saty in town until 4pm. When we checked in they said we had to ask in morning. So I asked in morning they said they had to check with the GM once they come in after 8:30. 9ish got a call in room was told for $25 I could stay until 4pm. So went down to lobby to pay the fee. Front desk person was very nice but was new so had to call GM to figure out how to charge. Which then the GM decided I could not have a late check out. I spoke to them on speaker phone and explained they had told me I could and the website mentions it. She said since I booked through a travel site I could not stay. What?! After pushing they said they would ask the owner. Got a call later saying I coulf stay 1 additional hour for $25 but that was it otherwise I would have to pay for a whole day. They obviously do not care about their hotel by its shape and the GM and Owner obviously do not care about their customer satisfaction.

Very dated. Water didn't drain from tub so that was gross. Old smell in the room we were in. Not worth the price. Friendly staff.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here again. At check in they put us on the first floor which is the floor for pets. We love pets, we have pets, we did not travel with pets. The room smelled so bad of stinky, wet dog that our clothes smelled when we changed out of them 45 minutes later. Thick cloying, wet dog smell. We asked for a new room immediately but the desk staff needed the managers approval before switching us. We finally did get switched-- 30 minutes later to a smaller room on a different floor with no price adjustment and no apology. I was happy the room did not smell this time-- BUT-- there were several dead cockroaches in the room. The next morning we asked for the dead roaches to be vacuumed up and then we had to ask again that afternoon. (they did finally vacuum up the roaches) The room was an ADA room and the blinds were broken but it did not smell like dog. Breakfast day one- with 75 minutes left on the breakfast time most all the food was wiped out (eggs, yogurts, milk, oj) and ALL the tables were dirty. It was a busy summer morning with lots of kids running around why would they have not planned for the crowd? Breakfast day two-- much better. Clean and stocked. (and two people working) This was by no means the Hampton Inn we depend on. I will not be back.

I even tried calling the hotel hoping to get someone's attention. We were told that they had to check our ID and get the incidental charge handled and that's why the digital key didn't work. Upon entering our room, we were hit in the face with this smell of a mix of orange glo meets fabuloso and fruit. The smell lingered our entire 2 night stay. Definitely clean though. The bathroom was spacious which was nice and had toilets that could suck down a bath towel -- odd to point that out but weak toilets see to be the norm. As a statuses honors member, was a bit surprised that we weren't at least offered bottles of water. Refrigerator in the room did NOT get cold, it was just barely south of room temp. One morning they had biscuits with breakfast -- those were very nice.

If I were going to give a down check, it would be the very pricey restaurant that is on the property. Very good, but very pricey. We usually opt to get a delivered pizza! Mary, the bartender for the managers reception and Damian, treat us very personably almost like family. We don't mind spending a couple extra dollars there due to that. And another thing, they have an automatic toaster at the breakfast area that toasts perfectly the first time and every time! I wish all the Embassy Suites would buy that particular electronic toaster! Keep up the great work!

Pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Embassy Suites in Bowling Green! Upon entering the lobby,…read morewe were impressed with the welcoming staff, cleanliness, and the fun decor features (green wall behind the front desk, water feature, fire place by sitting lounge & outdoor fountain/ fire pit). Throughout the hotel hallways, you'll find many artfully designed pictures of different corvettes, as this location isn't far from the Corvette Museum. Our room was spacious and clean with a view of the outdoor fountain. The room was insulated well enough to not hear our neighbors or people walking down the hall. Happy hour included a choice of beverage as well as different snacks - and if you have a non alcoholic preference (i.e. for kids) during happy hour, there is no charge for those. The pool was a welcome treat after a long, hot Kentucky day, clean and perfect for the entire family, with an outdoor seating area as well. The gym had various machines but we didn't get a chance to use them during our stay. Breakfast is better than your average continental breakfast, with omelets, eggs, pancakes and waffles made to order. Buffet options also available and coffee made with a push of a button. Overall, the experience here was great and I'd happily return here next time I'm in the area.
