Such a neat variety and selection. From the cutesy Japanese influenced items to the small boardgame stash... I was really impressed by the quality and the variety of what this store carried. There are so many neat things packed in this store! I wish I wasn't done with my Christmas shopping! It has been many many years since a game and toy store made me smile and want to spend a lot of money. It is a warm inviting store that is not dusty nor awkward, which is normally the vibe I get from small toy stores. Parking: This store is located on one of the busiest streets in Clayton and although there is a very small lot in the back, you will most likely be parking in the street. TLDR: Worth checking out. You will most likely find something. Look at all the rows. Parking is near impossible.

Happy Up always brightens my day. This place is like a time machine, once you walk through those doors you're 10 again! Thought the place may be small, the toys are well organized and laid out in sections. There are lots of toys you won't find at the big-box stores, and the prices are very reasonable. The owner, Shawnta is super helpful. You can tell she loves her job and is passionate about it. If you don't know where to turn and are looking for a gift, feel free to ask one of the employees. They have always pointed me in the right direction and given me good suggestions. A lot of the times, there's a display model of the toy you can try out and if there isn't the employees will open up one of the toys that let you try it out. Oh and they offer free gift wrapping too! This is seriously one of my favorite places in St. Louis. Please consider purchasing your kids' gifts from Happy Up and supporting local. You won't be disappointed!

Rudolf loves to visit Happy Up too.

I happened to be in area today and figured why not stop by and see if things had changed at Saga…read moreToys in 4 years. Honestly, not much has changed. There is still a wide selection of different toy lines to choose from and the organization has gotten better. Figures had actual price stickers on them this time, but the store continues to be overpriced when compared to other toy stores in the St. Louis area and online retailers, sadly even eBay. Yes I know overhead is a thing, but some figures had an almost 100% markup, example Masters of the Universe: Origins - Deluxe Snake Face MISB priced at $44.95 but MSRP is $23.99 and can be readily found on any of the big online retailers. The figure is not vintage either so I can't understand the justification for the price. My biggest disappointment came when inspecting the Transformer figures and I noticed the store had an over abundance of figures specifically from Wave 1 and Wave 2 of Legacy. Why is this a disappointment you ask? Well these figures were sold in two-packs as part of Wal-Mart's 2024 Black Friday Door Busters and were eventually marked down starting at $17 and then down to $7 per two-pack. Saga simply opened the figures up and marked the price back to MSRP. I'm all for charging a fair rate and since these are technically MSRP there's no scalping of price on these items, but the practice in general feels very scummy. This is now my second revision of my original review back in 2019 and I still cannot recommend buying from Saga. I'm sure the owners mean well and maybe they do have a loyal following of regular customers who buy, but I can't figure out how this store stays open, much less profitable.

The manufacturer Neca Toys is against scalping and mark up of their products and has a contract disclaimer which retailers sign regarding how much they can sell Target exclusive toys at only the retail price. The store clearly sells new release Neca TMNT figures for over ebay pricing and the retail pricing of what would have been $51.99 retail for their mark up price of $124.
