Situated in Rundle Mall, the store is just a stone throw away from Next Byte. While next byte may be cheaper, the Apple geniuses are very helpful and the entire experience seems polished with everything from the mobile purchase system to the elegant wooden tables. An amazing store from a good franchise.

Never used telstra before this was the first time and now I know why I stayed away from them in the first place. They promise you everything and once you have signed it all turns to shit.

The worst retail experience I've had for a long time. They have not returned any of my phone…read morecalls or emails and as a result, 7 weeks after returning a faulty iPod Touch I am still waiting for a replacement. Their ridiculous automated phone system invites you to [Press 1] for technical support. As a naive consumer who dropped off a faulty unit I thought that seemed a reasonable option...FAIL...after pressing one you are greeted with " we do not offer technical support, please contact Apple directly". [why ask the bl**dy question then] So back to the automated call options and [Press 3] for general enquiries....to be cut off. Try again...cut off. Try a 3rd time....cut off. Finally I had to make a special trip and drive to their store in Glenunga to discover my 10yr old son's iPod has been sitting in a plastic envelope for the past 7 weeks and so now finally having parted with some more cash the indications are that it will be sent back to Apple for a replacement. It shouldn't be this hard in an economic environment where retailers are complaining about weak consumer spending. On this occasion I am only spending a couple of hundred dollars on a replacement iPod but I am in the market for a new iMac. I wonder where I'll choose to spend my $2,000?

Unlike many businesses, they don't look for reasons to avoid doing warranty repairs (perhaps because Apple pays them for the repair work). They have a good selection of accessories. Prices are pretty much list price-but you get that in all shops that sell Apple gear. If you need Apple equipment repaired or good advice on a new purchase, I recommend Next Byte. They have a location in Rundle Mall too, but I have never found the service as good there. Eat, drink and be merry--but not too much! JD

I have purchased a phone for my child from here, great, basic, locked with minimal credit for only about $30. Didn't thin he would find something until he saved a bit more but proved me wrong. I have also managed to grab a great bargain on some really odd dvd's, especially some fantastic comedy ones. They seem to stock stuff you can't get in the usual department stores or even sometimes in specialised music shops. I have also purchased a larger tv and set top box from here before and have received great service every time. It does get rather packed out in the store, especially when they have a big sale on, but they do always have a security guard at the entry/exit of the store. Staff get really busy, even though they have heaps of staff working all the times I have been there they also seem to often have heaps of customers. But obviously that is a good thing and the wait has never been horrendous. I tend to go with the theory of looking for one thing, phones OR computers OR cameras OR dvd's, etc. Way too much to try and look at the whole store at one time.

I just went in to buy a pre owned game but could only find a blank case with a sticker on of the game I was looking for. I found that easily too because it's well organised and in alphabetical order. The staff were very helpful and gave me a discount because it didn't come with the case. Winning! Also, unlike some places the security guy is really friendly and you don't feel uncomfortable walking past. I only come here for games so can't really comment on the electronics etc but I've only heard positive things. Oh and 90% of the staff are really good looking. Bonus haha

"What the?!" is the best phrase I can think of to describe less than 10 minutes inside Vodafone…read more This one was the hardest to give a concrete star rating because rocking up to Vodafone is a mixed bag, really. Sometimes you strike it hot, other times it's cold as ice. When you get a good salesperson, it's a very smooth transition in updating your new phone or finding out how to get it repaired (for a very low price), if you've dropped it on the ground, and you can't see the screen anymore. One day recently, I got an awesome salesperson, and he did two things that made my day: 1) Figured out why my mobile internet wasn't working, then showed me which buttons to press on my mobile to reconnect to another server = re-connected me to Yelp, and thus society 2) Recommended a great lunch spot since I told him I was starving. When you get a bad salesperson, he answers only 2 of your questions ("It's going to be $350 upfront to repair your damaged screen" OR "If you want to upgrade to the latest IPhone, you have to pay $25/month from now on." OR "Nothing else we can offer you here, unless you're willing to pay me extra." and 10 seconds of your time. I rest my case, Vodafone really is a lottery pick when it comes to receiving good service. The only thing baffling than your overpriced mobile phone plans is the unpredictability of your sales force. You merged with 3? Hmmm, I wonder who was doing better out of you two?...

There's a Virgin mobile store that shares a wall with this store, just go there!!! You will thank yourself for doing so. From reports I have heard from friends who have been to this particular store, the staff are your average telecommunications salespeople. Sometimes you get a decent human being, sometimes you get a seemingly lazy and unmotivated twat. But what's unique about that? That's just a phone store. Really, if you want a phone/plan that constantly drops out of service (even in the metro area), that has the poorest data speeds in the country, and offers below par customer service, go to a Vodafone store! If not, please go anywhere else. Telstra, Optus, or Virgin will be able to sort you out. Don't waste your time elsewhere.
