And they were so accommodating. We realized at the last minute that one of our dogs' shots had just expired. Instead of just saying there was nothing to be done - they got our dog in to the mobile vet that fortunately was going to be there the next day. The dogs DO NOT GO OUTSIDE. They play and POTTY inside all day. We were concerned, but were reassured they pick up immediately and are always cleaning. We should have listen to our guts. We boarded our dogs for 1 week while away. They were both healthy. When we picked them up, one dog's eyes were runny. By that evening, they were so puffy he could barely see. Took him to the vet and got some eye cream for an infection, as well as irritated skin around his paws. After a couple of days, he began to have this deep hacking cough. Back to the vet! As it turns out he also caught a respiratory infection while there. And yes, the other dog began to show symptoms not too long after for the eye infection and the respiratory infection. Luckily we caught his quickly and he is not suffering as much as the other dog. It's been over a month (and approx. $2000 in vet bills) and we are still dealing with it. Another thing that has happened is the pooping inside did not immediately go away and we had issues with that as well as poop eating (coprophagia), something they have NEVER EVER done. That has been extremely hard to break. I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST sending your pet to this facility. UPDATE: the owner is not telling the truth. Our puppies were there the week of March 7 through the 14th. How dare you come on here and try to say that we were never there. Shame on you! He's in the video you posted while he was there! On a recent date, my dog was attacked by another dog while in their care. I was contacted by staff immediately and had to seek veterinary treatment, as well as file a police report due to the severity of the incident. What's especially alarming is that I was told by an employee that this same dog had previously attacked someone and was classified as "vicious." Despite that, the dog was still allowed to participate in daycare. That raises serious concerns about their safety standards and decision-making. Animal Control opened an investigation and attempted to obtain video footage, but the owner--who is the only one with access to the surveillance system--has reportedly not cooperated. I also obtained records confirming the prior incident, which makes it clear this situation could have been prevented. On top of that, getting reimbursed for my dog's vet bill has been unnecessarily difficult. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner sent what appeared to be a non-disclosure agreement and has avoided accountability. Beyond the incident itself, the facility setup is also disappointing. There is no outdoor play area, no indoor grass or turf, and dogs are essentially left to relieve themselves on the floor. If your dog is house-trained, that training will likely be undone in this environment. Overall, this experience has been stressful and frustrating. Between the lack of transparency, questionable safety practices, and poor facility conditions, I cannot recommend this location to anyone who values their dog's well-being. Note: In response to the owner's reply below, I made multiple attempts to contact the owner by phone and in writing but did not receive a response until I sent a certified letter. In his reply, I felt my concerns were not addressed, and responsibility for the incident was not acknowledged. Additionally, I was unable to continue communication through the business's social media page after being blocked, which limited my ability to follow up regarding reimbursement for veterinary expenses related to the incident. Due to the lack of resolution, I am currently pursuing legal options. For those interested in reviewing public information, incident reports can be requested through Cobb County via an Open Records Request. These records are publicly available. I was able to obtain documentation of another incident at the same facility that occurred a few weeks prior to mine.

Overall, mochi had such a great time and came home completely exhausted and happy. If I weren't just in ATL for a few weeks, I would 100% use this service again! I honestly don't leave reviews very often, but I really want to support this business and see them succeed because they have been so great to both me and my dog Goose. I have a high energy, high anxiety 3 year old goldendoodle with some quirks. This is the 3rd day care we've tried in as many years and this team has by far made me feel the most comfortable out of any daycare we've tried out. Before we booked our vibe day one of their team members spent at least 30 minutes on the phone with me listening to my concerns (based on previous day cares we've visited) answering my questions with so much patience and kindness. They actually communicate with me at pick up and drop off (I don't have to try to pull information out of them, they update me and let me know if there is anything I should be aware of) and are very responsive over text. I can tell the owner and staff not only truly care about my dog, but also know their stuff - how to make appropriate corrections when needed, how to separate groups, give breaks, etc. based on each dogs needs. Previous day cares I've gone to both indoor only and indoor/outdoor have sent my 65lb dog home pretty dirty at times which almost makes daycare more of a pain (having to unexpectedly bath my big wild boy is not something that's a quick and easy process). Not only does he not come home dirty, but one time the owner Azhia brought him out when I was picking him up and I was like "why does he smell clean?". She said that she always thought it was a pain when she would pick her dogs up from daycare and they were a mess and so she goes the extra mile for her clients (they wipe them down as needed - but you can also easily add on things like teeth brushing, nail dreamels, licky mats, baths, etc. for small extra charge) They let them be dogs and get messy while they're there which I love, but I literally picked up a cleaner dog then I dropped off . Their outdoor area is pretty large with different sections for different dogs, has a sandbox and kiddy pool, etc. but they also have an indoor area. They upload pictures and videos on their site that you get linked to in text/email vibe reports everyday they visit, which is so fun and they update their IG account with stories everyday so you get some great pics and videos of your pet, as well as a bit of an understanding of their day. One of the team members Brice and I have gotten to know each other a bit at pick ups and drop offs over quick chats, since they come out to your car for both (another perk!) I happened to mention Goose needed to be groomed but I was trying to figure out how to make it work with my current schedule. He told me that he knew an excellent groomer that he could have come to City Dogz and they would just bring him in for his groom in time for me to pick him up. Not only did she do a fantastic job, but she has very competitive pricing as well. I used to pick up my dog from a daycare, where I could literally see on the camera that their staff was just sitting in the room looking at their phones while dogs just kind of walked or laid around. My dog wasn't necessarily excited to get dropped off and would come back acting like he hadn't been mentally or physically enriched for lack of a better word. Not only does my dog rush to the gate excited to go inside at City Dogz, but he also snuggles up to the various team members when he gets picked up so I know he is happy there and trusts them. He's also generally calm when he gets picked up so I know he got some good energy out. Doggy day care and boarding is too expensive to drop money when you don't feel comfortable that your dog is getting the right play and attention and care in my opinion. I'm so happy with my experience, when my commute changes, I'll end up driving out of my way to bring Goose here as needed, as opposed to the option that is just down here street for me. The first time our pug Lucy fell ill late at night, and passed out (very scary as this never happened before). They ran tests and kept her over night. In the end she was dehydrated and needed fluids. We learned that from the recent move to ATL she was stressed and did not drink enough water. The second time was over the weekend Lucy was bleeding when she urinated and had a UTI. Both times Chastain was both friendly and compassionate. The care provided was professional. It is good to know you have a reliable source to turn to weekends and late at night for emergencies!

Extremely Disappointing and Concerning…read more What a shame. I am extremely disappointed by the apparent relationship between this clinic and a breeder called Fancy Toy Poodles. Puppies are being sold by this breeder, with missing, inaccurate, and questionable health records and puppies that are already sick! The situation is heartbreaking because these are innocent animals whose health and well-being should come first. I was told that the breeder works with Chastain Animal Clinic and recommends this clinic to buyers because they can receive a discount. If a veterinary clinic is knowingly facilitating or enabling the sale of unhealthy puppies, that raises very serious ethical concerns. Veterinarians and veterinary clinics should be advocates for animal welfare--not simply part of a business arrangement involving breeders. I hope the appropriate authorities and veterinary organizations take these concerns seriously and look into the situation. These puppies deserve better, and consumers deserve transparency when making such an important decision.
