Sarah was an outstanding instructor for the Bradley Method Classes we took with her. She was not only very knowledgeable and organized, but she was also very caring, and you could tell she loves what she does. It amazed me how neat she was organizing the material, the videos, the role plays and other activities. She made the 3 hour classes interesting, fun and they went by quickly.
In our case, because our baby was breach, she gave us recommendations on some things to do to try to turn our baby. She also recommended to see a specific Doctor, who I had never heard of before, and who specializes in natural breach deliveries. Thanks to her referral, I was able to look him up and we ended up going to this, and we had the most mind blowing experience having an all natural delivery, and yes breach. Some people say it was a risky situation, but I truly believe that it is how we managed the nerves and what was happening with my body that made it a successful and healthy birth. In the middle of everything that was happening I did remember a lot of the things she taught us, such as the specific breathing exercises, distracting myself (which kind of happened naturally because we drove to the Doc in LA while I was in labor), my husband timing the contractions and being an amazing coach, I even got a specific juice at the gas station she recommended for after the birth, it was heaven.
Although our baby came 3 weeks early and it was somewhat unexpected, we were able to use the skills she pointed out, thanks to all the info she gave us throughout our weekly classes. I do not think I would have had the birth I did if we didn't learn what we learned with Sarah. I trusted myself, and with no medication at all I kept reminding myself of what she said "its temporary, I'm closer to meeting my baby with every contraction..." The birth of our baby Victoria was a sweet Victory. She came to this world butt first and kicking, and because I kept calm and hubby encouraged me at every second, our baby was born safe, quickly and sorry it its TMI, but I did not tear! Most importantly, it was a happy, healthy birth, one that we were able to enjoy. I felt my baby coming, we bonded right away, stayed connected through our umbilical cord for almost 2 hours until it was completely dry, and baby latched immediately. This allowed us to connect and bond in a very special way, one I would have not known if I hadn't learned what I did with Sarah. Our birth was everything we dreamed of, and more.
Sarah also did our placenta encapsulation, which I strongly recommend. I felt energized, happy and strong right away as I took the pills. I still have some I will use as my menstrual cycle comes back and a tincture that I am using with Victoria as she is teething (I had forgotten about this and Sarah reminded me in our reunion). It's funny, with a drop of it under her tongue, she immediately stops fuzzing as if she is wondering "what is this in my mouth that feels different, I kinda like it"! Even at our reunion Sarah gave us tips for feeding, breast feeding, social development, healthy growth and more. She is an eternal source of great info.
Thank you so much Sarah, we are forever grateful that our paths crossed. You made our first birth a true Victory :-) We strongly recommend Sarah for childbirth education for those who are looking for a happy and healthy birth experience.
