Poons kitchen is situated within the shopping precinct on Holmes House Avenue. It is a chinese takeaway predominantly but does also serve English fish and chips etc.
There is an extensive menu of chinese meals, fried rice dishes, foo yung dishes, noodles and chop suey dishes as well as all the usual chip shop fayre. The shop itself is very clean and well kept. There are chairs for customers to sit on while they are waiting for orders to be freshly cooked. Telephone orders are welcome too then just pick up your order a little while later. The food is well cooked and tasty, the only tiny criticism being that portion sizes are on the small side but the actual food is great. read more
