We were worried and didn't know where to turn. From day one, Ms. Jessi and the entire staff were incredible. They worked patiently with him while also equipping us with valuable resources and guidance to support him at home. I especially appreciate that The Mays School brings excellent therapists directly onto campus, so my son received consistent help without the stress of driving to multiple appointments. Ms. Jessi's deep knowledge of neurodiversity has been invaluable. She not only helped my son thrive during his time at The Mays School, but also guided us in finding the right next school to continue his growth. Because of the care, patience, and expertise of The Mays School, my son has made tremendous progress both socially and emotionally. We are deeply grateful for this school and its dedicated staff who have made such a meaningful difference in his life.

The owner is currently doing so to silence me at this very moment. That's why they have nothing but 5 stars. In my opinion, the owner is unstable and encourages a cult like toxic environment. What they don't want you to know is the school is not accredited and is not Montessori. They are not associated with Montessori in any shape or form. They claim to be inspired by Montessori. In my opinion, not a lot of learning happens here, let alone Montessori inspired teaching. To give you an example, my daughter was writing letters in sand at an age where she should have started learning phonetics and started reading. Once I figured out that she wasn't learning anything I quickly started looking for a new preschool. In the meantime my daughter was being spit on daily by another child. I addressed this with the teacher many times with no avail. I told the mother of the child and because of that my child was expelled. Yes, that was my offense. In the time it took me to go get my child (this was the middle of the day when they expelled my 4 year old) they treated her so horrifically that she developed panic attacks. It took months for her to recover mentally. I know of other people who have had similar experiences. The cult like environment is so intense that they bully anyone who leaves the school or writes anything negative about this school. I would not recommend anyone to attend this school.

This is a child led program and my daughter is blooming learning so much, right now she's very focused on sewing ! She designed her first dress this spring and loves cooking and learning with her peers in an intimate class setting. I really appreciate the teachers participation in her enrichment and I'm so glad my daughter is open to being taught by them. We are so fortune to have found this gem in Houston! When he began at Blossom Heights he was barely talking- he now speaks in full lengthy sentences with vocabulary that amazes me. He can problem solve and make plans for what he wants to achieve. Emotionally, he is more pulled together than I am! All of his emotional, social, and academic needs are met! His teachers LOVE him and SHOW him love consistently throughout each day. Pictures are worth a thousand words, as his teachers will frequently document his adventures and send daily photos through their Bright Wheel app for parents. Teachers take part in multiple professional development trainings and quality improvement programs throughout the year to ensure children are receiving the BEST care possible. I'm writing this review with mixed feelings. From an…read moreacademic standpoint the school is very good. Teachers are very good and my family had experience with age group 3-5 (preK 3 and preK 4-5). Staff is generally kind, as long as you are completely cooperative. A parent cannot speak up against or question anything. We did encounter some behavior issues that took the school weeks to address and multiple meetings with the administrator as my child kept coming home crying he was being picked on. My family has supported the school throughout, and loved it. Then in fall 2021 The school took action removing my son after registration, involuntarily, due to the administrator (who is also the owner of the school) refusal to accommodate to my 5-year-old's special needs. My child who was accommodated the previous year was told he may not return unless he follows new school regulations, where elsewhere considered illegal, regarding wearing masks when my child is medically exempt. The administrator waited until 3 days before the new school year started which left me without any other options but homeschool as registration closed everywhere else for the school year. These actions portraited the administration as unprofessional, careless to the consequences of their actions and cruel to a child that only wanted to come back to his friends and teacher. Then when I called the school to ask to collect my son's items that were left for him to return, his teacher blocked my number and hung up the call in my face. I am questioning the administration's ability to teach the Montessori values when they cannot follow them themselves. They surely are unable to teach by example. I would say, that if your child doesn't require any accommodation, if you do not mind supporting a school that discriminates and refuses education to a young child that is medically unable to wear a face cover and are not worried about the values they teach by example; this would be a great choice.

We love this school and its teachers and staff. The school definitely emphasizes its Catholic identity, which is the primary reason why I would even consider sending my kids to a Catholic school. There are several award-winning teachers here and it shows. Quality education, family-like environment and the tuition is extremely reasonable for a private school. While they may not have the fanciest things and facilities, when I see my child's development and love for going to school, I feel reassured that I've made the right decision by sending him here. I've gotten involved with the parent community, which at first was a bit daunting but it's been a great experience getting to know them and I look forward to journeying together with them as our children all grow up here.

However, I do have to say under this new principal the school has become very business driven and has lost the old Catholic school culture. She lacks leadership and has developed an atmosphere of turning the other way when issues evolve. She's very transparent of the families and student selections that have more facilitation to support economically. The bullying situation in the school is atrocious. They have nothing set in place to have any control over the situation and only have a part-time counselor so if it's her day off and there's an issue to be addressed, good luck. Again to be fair there is a handful of good hearted teachers that work hard and care about the students but the leadership. I feel well little by little deteriorate, the quality of the school. Just speaking from the heart and God willing things will change for future generations once this leadership team is no longer there.
