I HATED my hair cut and I was trying to give this place a chance but holy damn they SUCK, yeah it's cheap but it's not worth it AT ALL , after they cut my hair I told them I want more of a skin fade, they proceeded to offset my hair , one side a perfect fade and the other side bald and up in the corner of my hair line they were about to not say anything and leave me like that until I told them something about it, I was pissed off , told them I want the manager to fix it and ofc he couldn't what perfect service. So the same person who messed up my hair "try to fix it" and it was still messed up since u was BALD ON ONE SIDE!!! , the. Proceeded to say oh it's the way my hair is even though we talked about the way I style it and he had it prefect before just not a skin fade , so instead of owning up to his mistake he wanted to blame my hair and blame me. I've been coming for 10 years but the price has increased twice in the passed 3 months. I know $20 isn't much but it's a big jump from $15 especially when before covid it was $8 lol. I would usually go to Ms. Linda or sometimes Michael. They give good cuts but I think the price hike was a bit much so I'm trying other places. read more

Please note that this place is on a strip mall 2711, but the sign only says Barber. There is plenty of parking and open on Sunday! Upon entering, we were greeted by a woman and immediately sat my grandson down. He said he wanted a comb over. She had him stand up, put the cape on, and started by brushing his hair, and then the clippers came out. Overall, it was about 15 minutes, and she did an excellent job. Just for reference, he is 10 years old. So, I did see many adults walking in and out. They have several barbers in here. Large seating area,and a old school cash register that says Cash Only. Hey, $12 bucks for a haircut! Great service,affordable and clean. The place looks like a little old school, but don't be discouraged. I recommend this place because they listen and do a great job. Again, the lady was attentive to my grandson and did what. He asked for. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but all were friendly. I went over here for a 5 all around with a high taper. The barber who cut my hair rushed through the haircut. The taper wasn't blended very well, uneven sides, I got razor burned on the back of my neck, and missed a lot of spots on the top. I wouldn't suggest going to this guy. I've been looking around for barbers in my area for a long time. Being a traditionalist, I've been with the same barber shop in Alhambra the past 20+ years. Of course, with the commute trying to get there impossibly early, some crazy planning is usually involved if I want to get my cut being the first person. Now that I've found this place, for now it is a good place to go in between cuts that will last me another 2-3 weeks. This place opens 8:30am and I was lucky to be first because 10 minutes later, I saw four other customers come in. I requested a using a buzz for 1 on the side and a bit off the top. The whole time there was no conversation so I didn't catch the name of the person cutting my hair but he did do a good job with the buzzard. However, he didn't seem cut anything off the top at all so I was kind of disappointed at that. When all was done (20 minutes later), he used the air blower to blow off excess hair and puts some kind of powder on the edges. My cut was really simple so it was $7 but prices seem to range from $7-$10 which is fair for what you get. BTW, this place kind of smells like mothballs and the decor looks like Asian mish mosh. I go here about 1/3 of the time I need a haircut. Its great for when you need a quick trim or cheap haircut. Normally I go to my regular spot but since I have a work conference, I needed something quick. Again, this is the perfect place for that. The best part about this? It's only $8. They do normally cater to a quick haircut or more cholo type fade in my opinion (fade is $10). Sometimes they give you a head massage, or a hot towel on the face, or a quick one minute shoulder massage. It really depends who you get. The women are more likely to do that while the men just give you the haircut and do it quick. Again, dont go here saying you want a cross fade fauxhawk with 3/4 turn or whatever all those terms are. You go there and say, 3 on side, 4 on front max. So dont expect the service of a $25 haircut. read more

Been coming here for years , up until a month ago when my son had his last hair cut there. My son ended up getting a fungal infection on his scalp also called a barbers itch. My son is on antibiotics for the next 6 weeks and has lost hair in that section. I suggest you make sure you sanitize each machine very well after each and every use. This is one of my favorite spots until I had the owner (The one picture of him and Leo) . In the beginning it seemed pretty nice, I showed him a picture of how I wanted my haircut and he made it seem like it was the easy request very simple. I pretty much have an undercut with a lime on the side of my head which is what I usually get but this time I don't know how he saw the picture but he decided to put the line almost in the middle of my head which made the whole cut not the same cut anymore. Long story short when it came to pay, I gave him a $20 bill and as he took it he was saying bye-bye and assumed that he gets the to keep the change. Let me first say that I take responsibility in my decisions for selecting a barbershop that had a $10 rate for mid skin fades. You get what you paid for, etc. Although price is not always indicative of the quality of the hair cut or customer service, I definitely think this is one situation where it does apply. The barber that I had lacked any real technique or finesse. By finesse I mean he was driving in those clippers into skull. It was after feeling my skin was being torn away at the back of my neck that I asked him to be a little softer. He then continued to go in rough on the back of my head. I have coarse, thick hair so it has a tendency to pull if you use bad clippers or you're going fast. After plucking a few hairs out, I yanked my head away from the clippers and told him that was painful. He preceded to tell me I should've told him it hurt, as if my initial request and body language didn't give it away. The haircut ended with not so much a fade but a line from one temple to the other. I will say he is a nice guy. However, he sucks at cutting hair. Also, he doesn't know how to not harm his clients. If you look at Dana S.' picture she uploaded of her child, I think my barber was the same guy who cut the kid's neck up. How hard is it not to injure your guests? Anyways, Dana is sort of racist with her comment, but her warning is still valid. Retrain him or get rid of him! I know my barber said he just came back today from a month long visit to Vietnam. So if you come in and get a barber who just recently came back from Vietnam, best of luck. You're in for a rough cut. read more

Honestly I do not want to disclose the issue that orrcured here but I am absolutely appalled by some of the workers here. Everytime I step foot into this store and a particular barber isn't there, the workers here pass us along like they don't want to give us service. They keep pushing us towards other people that are free and they say that they don't want to work on us. This has happened 100% of the time that I've come here when our barber isn't here. What's even more rude is that I speak Vietnamese; I understand what you're saying and I see the glances you all exchange each other. However, I will say that the barbers here do a great job giving their clients haircuts and building a relationship with them. So I still love this place. Been coming here for almost a year now. Great haircuts for an amazing price. However, they recently started being weird with their change for tip. Usually I break a twenty and they give me my change back, then I'll tip them back from that change. But recently they'll break my $20 and just give me a $5 and keep the rest as their tip. I don't appreciate that. Let the customer have his full change back and then let them decide on how much to tip. It leaves a bad feeling thinking now they're starting to take advantage. If this happens again I'm going to say something. Last two time I just insisted on getting my full change back. Best thing about this place is they move you so fast. In and out in 20 min tops usually. But damn, is it a gamble how you leave, but I guess that's why it's cheap. Cheap ain't always good. 7 dollar haircut! What a deal! They do great contemporary haircuts. Don't expect a high end salon or super fancy haircut. My Barber is Linda. She has been for a few years since I work nearby. All the workers are Vietnamese. Don't expect perfect English. You will wonder sometime if they understood you. But they do. It's hard to understand their chit chat with you sometimes so keep it at a minimum. Expect to wait a while as they are very popular. I come in during my lunch break between 12:30 to 3pm. This is a he best time to avoid the crowds. If you come from 5 to 7 expect to wait minimum of 45 minutes and maybe not get your preferred Barber. The decor is new mixed with old. I'm selfishly reluctant to promote this barber shop, only because it would decrease my chances for an available barber to receive me upon walking in. But they deserve all the business that comes to them. For 7 to 10 dollars, these hair artists take time to perfect their craft on each customer. They also have this amazing giant dust blower machine that is used to blow off loose hair from your head! I've learned to trust every barber at this shop to cut my hair. I live all the way in Irvine , and I am still searching my area for a comparable shop. Factoring in the price, wait, and quality of the cut, nobody comes close in the Irvine area. I've only found barber shops charging 20+ dollars and getting a horrible haircut, and a freaking champagne to compensate for your long wait. :/ So I drive to Anaheim every two weeks for these guys. read more

Horrible. This is the worst barber shop Ive ever been to. Ive tried this place out 3 times and EACH time they have defied my orders and did whatever they wanted to. Every time I go there it's a different set of barbers only one lady has been able to consistently cut my hair well and she hasn't been working recently.
