All the staff we interacted with were excellent. The whole place was extremely clean and we'll maintained. The room was very good. The beds very comfortable, window had screens so you could sleep with a window open. Breakfast was a buffet and all the food was really good and the capacinno was excellent. Dinner was a four course meal . The food and presentation was good, and staff were wonderful. The evening cruise along the canals was great. The owner narrated the tour in Dutch and translated to English as well. He was very knowledgeable and we learned alot about the history. We had a great time and will go back.

Pro The front of the hotel is beautiful. Nice cafe and lunchroom to relax and enjoy a meal . The location is perfect. They are located very close to the train station and very close to the center, so if you are not feeling their cafe, then you can stroll over to the center and explore some of their different restaurants, cafes and shops. Check out is at 12 Bathroom is small but reasonably nice . Con - They need better lighting in the rooms because the room was too dark. When we first arrived in the room I notice a coffee stain on the floor. In addition, the coffee machine is not nice at all. The coffee machine completely exploded. So if you are wondering why there are stains on the carpet, it's because they have not replaced that crazy coffee machine that does not properly work. The room we had for 160 euros I felt was very mediocre, nothing special at all and extremely small. Also the parking lot view was not so flattering from the bedroom window. So I definitely did not get that cosey feeling that I am home. I expected much better.

Generous portions perfectly prepared. And reasonably priced at 24 Euros. The Italian white wine recommended by our waiter was perfect with the meal and inexpensive. The room was large, had two huge windows to let in the cool air and enjoy the view, it was very clean, the bathroom was recently renovated, very modern/nice, and very clean. WIFI is free. Breakfast was a plentiful continental-type all you can eat that included meats, cheeses, great breads, cereals, and coffee and orange juice. Why some previous posters were put off by breakfast is bewildering. All hotel staff were super friendly and helpful providing some eating, sightseeing, and driving directions that all turned out to be spot on. Lastly, we were provided a parking permit (no charge) that allowed us to park right in front of the hotel for free. For sure, when we return to Kampen this is where we'll stay!

It is directly on the river and has stunning views. We stayed in room #9 and it was super awesome. Roses printed in the carpet, red leather chaise lounges in from of huge windows and views of the water and town, which made it really romantic! The room had a HUGE bathroom which was upstairs and a giant sunken whirlpool jacuzzi tub. The bathroom made you feel like you were in a Roman bath house equipped with a shower and sink. Lush bathrooms that we lived in. It also had a separate room for the toilet and another sink. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We ate at the restaurant and the food is very good. We enjoyed the morning breakfast which had plenty of options. We were very lucky in that the monthly day market and night festival was going on. It was so much fun. Lots of vendors with local stuff to buy. They had a live concert and DJ beginning at 9pm and it went on until 1 in the morning. The hotel provided us with ear plugs as the concert is directly across the river form the hotel. The pub inside of the restaurant was very fun and they had a tv so we were able to watch the Olympics. There are trails just steps away that has beautiful scenery. The hotel has laundry service, restaurant, pub and a beach area with a bar.
