I have been a loyal customer of this store for a few years. I go in once a week and purchase the…read moresame product. Prices are comparable on certain items and it is close to my work. Today, their cashier felt a need to make a comment based on my 1 time per week same purchase. The comment was, I do not judge, I just listen. I am an older female who works 4 days a week on overnight shifts and spends 12+ hours a day working 60+ a week on my feet in a very physical job. This person knows nothing about me. And let's be clear it is a liquor store and maybe you have some people with issues. But when I brought it to the owners attention I was told he was crazy and he has ADHD issues and I should not be upset by it. And he basically did not care if he lost me as a customer because he has several others. You never know what people are going through and in customer service you must lead with empathy. ADHD is not a mental health condition and to say the person is crazy is mind blowing. Especially when dealing with a person with PTSD. This store has lost my business, not that the owner cared.

The entrance is a little seedy and I did note that the register is protected by bullet proof glass but they seem to have a nice selection of different beers... by the case. A little excessive for an out of town visitor like me! The owner / manager asked if he could help me in any way and when I told him that I was looking for something closer to a 6-pack, he directed me to Monaghan's Pub which apparently sells six packs in addition to the awesome food I had during my last visit. They only sell beer at Printz, so if you're on the lookout for anything else, you won't find it here.

I was really impressed by the selection of local Jersey wines, and think it's really great that they support the local economy. They had a good deal of Tomasello Winery wines. Perhaps almost half of what I recently saw at one of their tasting rooms. Way to represent! The wines overall ranged from under $10 a bottle to some nicer reserve stuff. They have my personal favorite The Starborough Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has at a reasonable price so I was ecstatic. I'm a craft beer fan and while the selection wasn't huge in comparison to some of the area chains, the staple crafts were represented. The seasonality of the beers was totally on point. Pumpkin beer lovers rejoice! Evil Genius Trick or Treat and Traveler's Jack-O...yes, please! I thought it was really cool that they have a cooler of craft beer singles. You can sample one without committing to a six-pack. What really stood out to me though was the service. The associate took the time to walk me through the store and make sure I found everything I was looking for. With beer, wine and liquor available, I'm like a kid in a candy store in a Jersey liquor store so I appreciate her patience. I was able to find most of what I was looking for but the place where there should have been a basket tray full of ginger was very bare and what was left looked pretty old and worn. I know you don't wear food but these remnants of ginger looked like that had to have been worn because the wear and tear on them. They could have had few more cashiers but that has been my experience with ShopRite lately. It's a decent supermarket with a variety of foods and more that cover a number of ethnic foods and such. I like them. As for customer service, I didn't encounter anyone so I can't share that experience. They were out of ad with coupons and it is only Monday. I wonder if the store gets a bonus for all the savings that their customers could have received. I don't know just thinking out loud. Anyway!
