We contracted with Hansons to install gutter guards on our home. We ran into several snags and snafus. First, a color change in the gutter guards was made within one hour of signing the contract. A change in contract was made with the salesperson. A day or so before the installation, we wanted to confirm the color change was active. It was not. I provided documentation that the change in contract was made. I informed the salesperson about the mistake. His response, "Wow my bad - I was driving when we did the CIC. Sorry about that - she has it now!". Wow my bad?!?! The change occurred because I inquired, not because of the salesperson's doing. Secondly, the job was done by a third party. We were not informed of this prior to signing the contract. In fact, we have learned that Hansons does not do any work but subcontracts all jobs. This misrepresents facts in both advertising and sales. To add on to this, if Gish's Gutters were subcontracted by Hansons, we probably could have hired Gish's Gutters to do the job for a lessor amount. Third, we did not receive a call prior to the installation crew arriving. When I spoke to a Hansons' representative on the phone regarding this, I was told an email/text was sent giving a window of time, 8am - 12pm. However, an email from Hansons reads: "Your Project Coordinator will contact you the morning of your appointment to explain what to expect to take place that day and answer any questions you may have about the installation." This call never occurred. In all honesty, I cannot provide a review on Hansons' work because Hansons did not pick up a tool to do the installation. I can, however, provide an evaluation for Gish's Gutters. They were extremely professional and installed a product that was to our satisfaction. I would recommend Gish's Gutters to other people. read more

We contracted with Hanson to install new windows in our entire home. We signed the contract in January of 2024. In April of 2024, they installed the wrong sized windows. It left gaps that allowed snow and rain to enter our home. We had an active breeze in our home. It took almost a year, over 12 "no show" appointments for them to finally replace the windows with the correct size. I was in contact with them, but now they refuse to call me back. It has been a nightmare. Do not use this company. They will not keep appointments and they will show up unexpectedly to finally do work that can't be completed. We also had all of our outside wrap ripped off and left that way for several months. It truly made the house look awful. read more

They rescheduled and could not show up for that rescheduled time. They called 6 times to reset the appt. I honestly do not trust a company that cannot even make an appointment and keep it. Buyer beware! We have been waiting almost a full year for them to complete the installation of our windows. The windows have been sitting in our house for months. The last four weeks they have cancelled installation at the very last minute and rescheduled for the following week. Fantastic Experience 1-800-HANSONS are a company of their word. We had a miscommunication, and Hansons went above and beyond any expectations of resolving any issues I had. I would trust them to work on my house again, anytime. I now understand why they have such a high rating with Better Business Bureau, they work hard at keeping their customers satisfied, and shoot for ecstatic; which is where I am, with the job which was done on my 120-year-old house. We had our roof replaced. The roof leaked and they had to replace the part of roof that leaked 3 times. It took months for them to come and in the mean time the room that was leaking was ruined. They told us we had to turn it into our insurance. There is just so many things that went wrong with the whole process. The gutter guy was going to put gutters up on rotted wood, we had to go buy our own wood and paint it even though it was included in our quote. So by going through Hansen's you're just getting a broker to get crappy work done with NO supervision. read more

Their installers are awful, and then they won't fix what they mess up. Look at the awful mess they made of my oak trim. They ignored me when I asked to have them fix it, and I had to find someone else. You do not want to deal with this when you pay extra money for "guaranteed" work. read more

Called to have some siding repaired and they said they don't do repairs, but they can do a single side. Scheduled someone to come out to give me an estimate and an older gentleman came and said that he can't give me an estimate on just one side, he has to replace the whole outside of the garage. So basically someone lied to me. Ending the estimate right then and there and thanked him for his time. Don't recommend. read more

I just update d my review. They finally installed our sliding doors. That process went really well and seamlessly. The only issue I have was the communication with the company. The salesman promised a date that I found out later that couldn't be met. Then they didn't follow up about the time for install. They did end up giving a refund for a portion of the door, which was nice, but I really would have traded the refund for great communication. The 4 stars is because of the install team. We contacted 1800Hanson to come give us a quote for all new windows, roof, and siding on a house we just acquired. My husband met with a representatives from Hansons and was told he would give him a quote via email that night. A week later we called and was told we asked him to strip everything inside which was false. He was told we only wanted Roof, siding and windows. He never measured anything. He walked from his car and said he needed in to measure windows. He never measured and when he left he said he would email quote that night. He never mentioned a problem. We know the house is bad inside and told him we would be fixing the inside. He lied about what product are available versus what their commercials show and was only on-site 5 minutes. We did all the online Hover app so they had pictures before coming. We plan to put a lot of money into fixing this house and they gave us horrible service. He could have been open and honest on-site and told us they didn't want this job. Would never recommend this company! read more

Signed up for a roof 2 months ago, have gotten nothing but lies and inconveniences all the way since then. Were told that the only time we'd need to provide access to our driveway and have our vehicles removed was the DAY OF installation, so that they could put a dumpster there. Were told that when the time came for installation, we would be the only house on the schedule, that's how they do things, one house started first thing in the morning, it will never be a thing where they come over after finishing another house on that same day. Were told they would call the day before to say "you're on the schedule for tomorrow". Well, so far, several weeks after signing up for the roof, someone calls on a Tuesday and says we are on the schedule for that Friday, 7am. We get up at 6am, four hours early for us, to be ready. Call in to work to miss the day. Nobody shows. We call. Nobody is there to answer the phone until 9am. When we get hold of them at 9am, they say we were told wrong, they are still finishing their previous house. TWO WEEKS go by without another call. We find this ridiculous, that it is taking that long to finish the previous roof. We call, find out "Oh yeah, what happened there is that the crew we hired to do your roof decided they had made enough money for the season and aren't going to come in for any more projects". Wow, so much for the crews they hire being "held to our high standards" as Hanson's put it during their sales pitch. So they had to find another crew. Another week goes by, and I show up home from visiting my mother across town, and a huge truck is in my driveway with a bunch of guys unloading stacks and stacks of shingles and other roofing materials. Nobody had called to say they were going to be doing this. And they stacked them in the middle of my driveway so I couldn't pull in, I had to park on the street. This is contradictory to "you only have to provide access to driveway the day of installation". We called office to find out what's up with this. They have no idea. And also, this doesn't even mean we are on the schedule for the next day. In fact, "we can't get you in until another two weeks". So, my driveway is blocked from my own use for two weeks. And anyone can just walk off with this stuff in the middle of the night. And it's going to be snowing and raining, so the other materials are going to get ruined. I ended up breaking my back to move it to my garage. Then a few days later, they call and say they'll be coming tomorrow. Had to remind them that I had already stated that I would be out of town that day. "Ok, we'll put one house ahead of you". Fine. Then they call yesterday to say "we'll be there tomorrow, and someone will call in the morning to confirm a time they will show up". Ok. Well, 7am today someone is knocking on my door while we're sleeping(again, we don't get up til 10 with our schedules). Nobody had called either of our phones to say someone would be here at 7am. So we had to rush to get dressed and answer the door. Turns out it just a crew leader or something who wants to check the materials, see if they are all there. He says his crew will be out around 9 or 9:30am. Fine. Hour and a half later at 8:30am he calls to say it will now be 10:30 or 11am, because they are finishing the other roof. That's contradictory to them saying at sign up that everyone is always the only house of the day, first thing in morning. Then someone calls at 9:45am to say noon now.
