I love coming down here to soak up the surrounding views and clear my head. There are porta potty but beware they may not be clean. The only downside is that you may come across homeless people but it appears to be more under control. The ranger station is located down by the aquatic center as well. Worth it to walk the "mile" as it is known in my neighborhood; easily walkable or jogging. Pet friendly and golf course is right next door too so you also see the court. Can't believe I forgot about this hidden gem.

This was my first time attending the watermelon fest at this park. It was cool. The only thing I did not like was the dirt in the parking lot and inside the park in certain spots, which caused dust to fly through the air into my lungs the entire time as people were driving and walking.

Beautiful and clean dirt trail along with a long stretch of concrete for bikers or walkers. The actual park itself is gigantic and enough space for multiple parties. There was a lot of trash but maybe because there was an event happening when I went. Someone did steal my water which kinda sucked. I really enjoyed the skatepark and it is friendly to all ages. I would come back to explore the trail more and skate when it's not so busy.

A big and beautiful park with a variety of things to do. I parked by the ranger station with us near Osborn and Dronfield. Then went running along the overlook trail. It's a beautiful trail that is about 2 miles each way and connects to a bunch of other trails. Great views of the lake and park on one side and the golf course on the other. I went in spring that there were so many flowers blooming. It was cool to see people riding horses too. And there was a spot to see the dam. The trail was paved, had lanes for different directions, and was very wide. I went on Sunday at 9am and there was ample parking as well as tons of space on the trail. Not crowded at all. Can't wait to come back to explore more.

Parking can be horrible. Park far and walk is what I recommend because near the mile walk people are very rude and inpatient. My friend got in a fender bender with someone who couldn't wait and tried to fit his giant trunk through her car and another which he ended up hitting her. We frequent the running path on weekends and it's awesome. We tend to run about 5 to 9 miles which is easy and on the safe side. You do run into a few occasional homeless people but they aren't on the running path. The road is paved. No bathroom. No water fountain.

Nice park. I went on a random day with my aunt's dog and there was a huge huge line for COVID testing. The park itself felt very safe to walk around. There are paths and some trails that you can follow. There was also a man-made water lake(?) that was very nice to walk around. Someone was in the little security hut watching the area so yes, it did feel safe. The walk was great for scenery and looking at the hills, seeing the trees, and everything. There weren't a lot of people when I went... so it really just felt like peace, tranquility, and nature.

This ain't the Hoover Dam, folks... But who cares? It's kinda cool that there's a dam out in the Valley. A friend of mine brings her kids here during the summer. There's an adjacent aquatic center. Not being a fan of public pools, I've tended to take a pass. However, I did visit the lake for an event called 1000 Lights, in which participants set a lantern afloat on the water after sunset. I decorated several lanterns in remembrance of several relatives who have passed away. It was a beautiful event, and seeing hundreds (not sure if there were actually 1000 of them) of floating lanterns on the lake was a sight to behold. Gorgeous and peaceful. I liked the fact there was plenty of parking and the lake water looked clean. The event had lots of food trucks, good music, and was extremely well-organized. I understand you can go fishing in the lake as well, so I may be back for that.

Favorite childhood park. Up to now, best spot not just because it it local but I love the view one gets up there. It's. It to far of a walk, it's approximately 5 miles round trip. 2.5 miles up to the end and 2.5 coming back to the parking lot.

When you need some R&R this is a great Park. It's huge and has plenty of Free Parking. Everyone just sticks there own which is cool I guess.... This park had pretty much everything Except a out door or indoor Bball courts. It has a library, huge playground, soccer field a dry dam, water park and fishing area all within a walk or a small drive. Lots of trees. ...

We often see people walking along the top path of the dam, but we decided to park at the Ranger Station and walk in the opposite direction of the norm. What we discovered was lots of beautiful trees, plenty of wildlife, and many people taking advantage of this beautiful area - even on horseback! The aforementioned Ranger Station has friendly folks working there, a nice depiction of local flora and fauna, history of the area, as well as maps and notations of various activities and trails. These trails are more walking than hiking. This area is fairly flat, unless you're moving down into the lower areas, then wanting to walk back up. But I wouldn't consider any of it a challenging walk. A paved trail around the recreation area is clearly marked for pedestrians and bike use. I was amazed at the public pool! Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted my photos whilst attempting to post, but I assume there are others already posted, showing the massive size and fun looking waterslides offered. Plenty of changing rooms/restrooms available. Check the Hansen Dam website for hours. Also impressive is the beautiful recreational lake used for paddling, kayaks, fishing and small boats. Recently, the lake was stocked with Trout. I couldn't tell if any of the folks fishing managed to catch anything, but it was nice to see plenty of families trying. Within this HUUUGE complex, in addition to the recreational lake and aquatic center are A Discovery Cube, Skateboard park, kids playground and public library. We had a very nice time wandering about and hope to return soon for a longer walk along the top of the dam for sonic views of the SFV. Cheers! "CC"

But as for the park itself, it's one of the best you are going to do in North Hollywood this said of Burbank Blvd. Outside, they have a nice playground area for children, so it's good for families, and their is a nice big, open soccer field. There is also an outdoor basketball court that is fairly well taken care of. The tennis courts are pretty healthy as well, and there are two of them. On the inside, there is a basketball gym. The upkeep of the gym is definitely nice, and there is a stage as well. As for activities, they've got a pretty good list of them. They have soccer tournaments, they have basketball leagues for most age brackets, they have open bboy dancing on the stage on sundays, and they have a community workout that happens I believe on thursday nights around 7ish pm. So at those times, the tennis courts are jam packed with neighborhood moms and whatnot doing their workout routine thing. Of note, this neighborhood is primarily mexican, and as such, there are very few english speakers hanging out. The employees all are bilingual, and a lot of the neighborhood kids from my apartment go here, and most of them are bilingual. I am as well, but I only speak English and Japanese, so when Im playing basketball, tennis, or soccer with the other locals here, it's a bust as far as me knowing what the heck anyone is talking about lol. I know that my team usually just tries to give me the ball lolol. Anyway, overall, I am very happy that I have a nice place to come and shoot hoops and play tennis and soccer, and it's right next to a Starbucks, Target, and a few chicken and burger joints, so it's easy to eat or drink something right before or after as well. I give the Victory and Vineland Recreation Center, a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
