Had heard great things about Hans' first location, but never made it there. Found out by accident they now have a much more convenient location at Viktualienmarkt.
Granted, it's not a cheap Kebab they serve here, but so so good my friends! Don't let 'fermented garlic' deter you, the sauce of the 1972 Döner is super tasty, ingredients super fresh, meat and bread at exactly the perfect roast....
These guys know what they do and earned their first gourmet awards. Full marks from me. Some say this is Munich's best Döner; I have not tried enough myself, but no reason not to believe them.
EDIT: tried the regular Döner with chicken for comparison on my second visit, and the 1972 with calf meat is absolutely the more tasty way to go. read more
