Maybe it's because my appointment was after the receptionist left for the day, but I felt kind of awkward entering -- I was a few minutes early and the therapist was chatting with what I'm guessing was another client, and didn't really greet or welcome me. I kinda felt like I had just wandered into a space I wasn't supposed to be, or interrupted a private conversation. After the other person left she went into another room without really acknowledging me, eventually coming back and seeing if I was ready to begin. Overall the massage was good, not mind blowing but solid, and the space is very nicely decorated. But for the money I ended up shelling out (over $200 for 60 minutes) I don't think it was a good value. I was also up-charged for seeing the lead therapist, which I didn't realize at the time of booking. It was only after going through the automated texts and emails after I saw the charge I figured out what happened -- so learn from my mistake! They also automatically added a tip without my knowledge or consent -- so the $150 service I initially signed up for ended up costing an extra $70. I get times are tough for small businesses, but they're tough for me too, so these extra expenses added tension right back into my shoulders. If you've got the money, you do you. But if you're trying to be more cost conscious, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Don't get me wrong - The massage was absolutely incredible but the entire setting and experience negated everything beneficial about it and compelled me to write this review - or was it rather Keiko's bribe that she would give me $20 l-off after writing a review .... ??? I get it, she had just moved to a new office. But I had this appointment for months. I arrived on time and she was on the phone quite frazzled because the credit card square wasn't working. She barked at me if I had cash because she forgot to call me and could not process credit cards. Thankfully, I had brought cash ! And I tried to be calm and patient and understanding of this situation. So she put me into the room and instructed me to undress and lay face down... which I did for about 40 minutes as she held and worked with customer service to fix the square. Of which I could hear everything through the thin walls! Horrible. I waited it out and told myself to be patient but this was about 45 minutes of my time and she could have called me 1) reschedule 2) say she was running late 3) inform me to bring cash because CC wasn't working .... I'm not battling my way through Korea town on a Friday night for nothing !! At the end, I was pleased with the service but still horribly dismayed about the experience. I gave her the$80 (which was all the cash I had) ... as I dressed to leave she says, "I would appreciate a tip"....!!!! HA!! After I struggled to pull up all the cash I had luckily brought ? Girl how about giving me a discount for wasting 45 minutes because of your inadequate business and customer service. Then bribes me with a $20 off if I write a review! The absolute audacity. No thanks. Avoid.

Some may say "oh five lbs," but for a 5'1" girlie, that is very significant. Anyways, my dearest friend ChatGPT told me to get a lymphatic drainage massage specifically for post surgery and this place was listed as one of three. I used to go to The Tox, but that is just for circulation purposes and compared to that place, this place seemed more legit. I had to have my surgeon send them a letter signing off on the massage to make sure my body would not be impacted and my wounds were fully healed to get this massage. The minute I showed up, I knew this place was what my body needed. My person told me to change into disposable bra and panties, assessed my body and asked me where my incisions from my surgery were. When she saw they were more than healed, but scarred at this point, she wrapped my body in plastic and put me in the sauna to start the initial detoxing process. Service was impressive! It is like she knew when I would run out of water and brought me more water in between. When I thought I couldn't take the heat any longer, ding, the chicken (me) was done baking. Normally I dread massages. They are painful and I get very stressed out. However, this one was so relaxing and my person realized it was my gut that was acting up the most so she spent more time on my tummy. I won't say that I felt debloated or depuffed instantly, but I felt relaxed. It does take 24-72 hours to feel the full affect of a session and based on past experience at The Tox, the 72 hour mark is when it hits. I get so lethargic I need to sleep all day and night. Luckily that would be NYE for me and this year I do not have concrete plans. I will be nice and spritely for my date the 2nd. Two thumbs up for this place. Disclaimer: both The Tox and this place are great. However, I will note that The Tox markets looking leaner due to lymphatic drainage. This place is more medical and is to help the lymphatic system calm down after it has been in shock after an invasive surgery like mine. However, I will say one thing and it will not rub some the right way, but I have been doing this for many years along with other body sculpting moments (check my other reviews). ALL THIS WILL NOT, AGAIN, WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT. THIS IS TO HELP CIRCULATION AND OVERALL TAKE CARE OF YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM. IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, THERE ARE OTHER POSSIBLE OPTIONS. THIS ISN'T IT.

Both sharp pain in class and then ongoing pain for days after class. I was worried I was going to need surgery, or have to stop practicing yoga- but Sulyn set me straight in no time. I filled out an extensive history beforehand. When I came in we did a movement assessment - I showed her the postures causing me pain. She was also interested in how I walk and stand. She identified right away that I'm overextending my knees, which is putting pressure on the area of the labral tear. She taught me a series of corrective exercises to strengthen the muscles needed to prevent the hyperextension. Then time for the massage work! This is not a rub-some-oil-on-your-shoulders and call it a day - its proper orthopedic massagework from someone who is obviously an expert in what she does. She was extremely firm and confident in her work, but aware enough to recognize my limits. I left feeling a limberness and relief I've not had in years. I've been doing my exercises diligently and my pain is vastly reduced (more like an occasional twinge). Understanding that healing is a process, I'm sure I'll be back for some 'maintenance' work, but I know I'm in expert hands. I'm also back on the mat and so so grateful to Sulyn!

Whenever he's in pain, "when are you seeing Sulyn?" is always the most urgent question. She doesn't just treat the symptoms; she has a deep systemic understanding of the muscles and bones, and finds a path to resolve the problem. So after a few months of on-and-off back pain, I went to see Sulyn myself. My pain was not serious like his, but bothersome. One hour later, I left her office feeling like I didn't have a back. Instead, the area between my shoulders and hips felt like one happy, buttery, melted pool of joy. I've been lucky enough to try some very nice spa massages, but there ain't nothing like this. You won't find any pampering, and there are no lavendar-scented pillows or fluttery curtains. Just magic. Worth every penny.
