I had full coverage insurance on my 2012 vehicle, Lonnie Keys State Farm agency was recommended to…read moreme by my friend, so I called them. I was given a much lower quote that what I was currently paying, so I made the decision to switch to State Farm. I made sure to ask Josh if the transition could be made without any interruptions in coverage as in, no lapse of coverage as I transferred from my current insurance company and coverage over to State Farm's coverage. Josh assured me that there would be no lapse in my coverage during this insurance change-over and that I'd be covered without ANY lapse of insurance coverage. So I went ahead with the change and switched from Farmers to State Farm. About a month later I get some letter from State Farm telling me that they're dropping me! I can't believe this, so I call good old Josh...only to be told that State Farm NEVER intended to drop me but that my rates were going UP because I scored a 3 because I was searching for better (cheaper) insurance. Since when are you the customer penalized for searching for cheaper rates?! So my rates went up about 15.00 a month, but that was better than being dropped, right? So...about a month later I get a call from dear little Josh...guess what? He informs me that when he figured up my rates a few months before, he was off, I asked how off? And he said way off and we repeated that a couple times when I finally insisted he tell me and when he told me that my rates were going to DOUBLE I lost it and told him that I would find insurance elsewhere. Josh said he didn't blame me, that he wouldn't pay that amount either. Well when I went to another insurance agency I found out why my rates went up so high...Dear sweet Josh allowed my insurance to lapse a few months earlier when I switched over from Farmers to State Farm! I couldn't get a hold of Lonnie Keys...seems my calls weren't getting past Dear old Josh, I guess. Im not the only person this has happened to, it happened to my neighbor as well. No one ever answers when you call- like they are screening calls so you have to leave a message- if you want a quick return make sure you add something to the affect of paying your bill or adding coverage. They don't want to waste time explaining what you pay them thousands of dollars for, they just want you to pay your bill and don't ask questions. I'm unhappy with them and I will be canceling my policy and going to Farmers where my call is valuable because my business is valuable.

They are excellent at explaining the sometimes confusing ins and outs of insurance. Dan set up my initial policy a yr ago and was excellent. At my yr review I sat down with the owner, Julie, and was very impressed. She took a lot of time with me reviewing my homeowners, umbrella, and auto policies for any ways to save money or for important things I may want to add tailored to my life. Whether you have Allstate or not I highly suggest sitting down with this office for even an estimate. They will do everything to get you the best price for the best coverage. PS the homeowners policy was HALF the price of all other companies while still being well covered, which is why my mortgage co steered me in their direction!
