Hanmi Bank is a Korean bank. This branch located in Garden Grove is convenient as it's located right on a major street. The shopping center is old but their stand alone branch looks okay. Clean. The service seems hit and miss. Sometimes you get helpful people and sometimes it's an absolute nightmare. The bank is quite strict and they have requirements other banks do not. For example endorsement of checks into account cannot be a signature but must be legible. So if your signature is not legible they have you sign again. They also require account numbers on the back of the check which I have been told by other banks is not in good practice as it gives your account number to others. read more

Unfortunately, I must share my recent disappointing experience with your loan services and customer support. Currently, I am a healthcare provider and also maintain accounts with both Bank of America and Chase. Two years ago, I had a similar issue while applying for a healthcare provider loan about 2 years ago. At that time, the situation was mismanaged, and I was unfairly blamed for the delays in processing my application. Despite the challenges, I eventually secured a loan. My intention now is to pay off this loan early, rather than wait for the full seven-year term. To initiate this process, I visited the Buena Park Fullerton branch. Unfortunately, the staff there had no knowledge of how to assist with my request. I was referred to David Choi in the loan department, but despite multiple attempts to contact him, I never received a callback. Frustrated, I contacted customer service, who then referred me to Anna Kim (Loan department staff) However, she also appeared unfamiliar with the process and was unable to provide clear guidance. After much effort, Anna Kim eventually sent me an email with instructions to complete a form to pay off the loan. Today, while exploring the online banking platform on my own, I discovered an option in the system that allows for early payment--a simple solution that no one had mentioned to me, I spent my previous amount of time. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of knowledge and responsiveness demonstrated by your staff and the inefficiency of your customer service. As a result, I have already moved my business account to Chase. Although I still have the amount of fund with Hanmi Bank, I have decided to transfer the remaining funds to a financial institution with better service and more competent staff. I work in the medical field and was very disappointed after visiting this Bank last week. The employees are very friendly and have a great service mindset. However, the working conditions and the office environment for receiving customers are very poor. They are continuing to work and receive customers even during ceiling construction, which is really bad for the health of both staff and customers. Hanmi Bank is a Korean American bank chain. This particular location is one of their older ones. Service is fine, the staff are fluent in both English and Korean. Yes, they are one of the few that still fires up a pot of coffee for it's customers. Location-wise, it's convenient for Garden Grove residents, as it is on Garden Grove Bl between Brookhurst and Magnolia. I find their banking experience more personal than larger banks. read more
