It sells glassware, candles, curtains, electrical items and bedding and much more. Needed a replacement kettle and picked up a Swiss one there, also some potpourri (from a large selection, much larger then Debenhams and much more reasonably priced). Didn't expect to see large size rugs there but they had some and had started to take a poke through when one of the staff told me that some 800 were due in the morning. So I thanked him for the helpful info and decided to wait as that large consignment seemed very promising indeed.

Called there the other day, looking for a tea strainer (for my loose leaf tea from Little Buddha in McCurtain Street). I had one look at the shelves and decided to ask rather than poke around. No bother. The helpful friendly assistant found not quite the strainer with handle but a globe type with chain than you hang over side of cup. Could see it would do the job just as well, paid my €3.50 and left a happy customer. Lucky really that we've got two such shops in town, Delia's and Brennans (in Oliver Plunkett Street). 3 Careys Lane Cork Co. Cork (021)4271982

We made a few visits to the store before deciding and each time got help and advice, all given in a very friendly way by the couple on duty. When we decided on the purchase, we got a nice little discount. The delivery date was projected for about four weeks. Sure enough, we got a call to arrange a day around the end of the period. The two lads arrived with the sofas spot on time, got them in efficiently and then put on the little legs and tided up, all done with good humour and friendliness. Well done to all from Cost Plus Sofas! see also: http://corkandabout.blogspot.com/

Pretty impressive! We only had about 30 minutes to browse Blarney Woollen Mills. In that time, Wifey found a very cool jacket to purchase at an affordable price point. In that time, she also forgot her sunglasses at the shop. We already faraway from the shop when she realized that she misplaced it. She immediately called the shop, but by that time the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. The employee who answered the phone was not very helpful or sympathetic though. Very sad and disappointing customer service!!! Despite the loss of my wife's beloved sunglasses, it was still an okay experience overall. This shop carrys all kinds of clothes, crafts, food, plus so much more. Blarney Woollen Mills is known as having the great Irish Shopping Experience after all. Absolutely check this place out after you kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle of course. Just don't forget any of your possessions while you are here because chances are great that they will be unable to help you.
