I had to bit of a problem getting Hank out for an estimate, but when he came, he was friendly and quite knowledgable. Hank knows trees. He pointed out some problems we had other than the two large, dead trees and offered to take care of one issue as part of the deal. His estimate was extremely reasonable.
Hank felled the two large trees with aplomb. After that, things went downhill fast. He drug the trunks through our wet back yard, wrecking our lawn. One tree that he felled into a gully next to the house he cut up, took one part -- through the yard -- for the saw mill, then left the rest. Some of what we expected him to remove he simply carried off into the edge of our woods. The rest he abandoned.
Cutting the trees? Fine. Grinding the stump? Fine. Obviously, though, Hank's definition of "remove" and ours was not the same. What we saved on his very reasonable charge we lost in having to repair the damage to our yard. read more
