While it wasn't cheap (mostly because it turned out to be a rougher job than anticipated), Adam never cut corners, always gave me his opinion about decisions I needed to make, and we generally spent an afternoon together figuring out the cleanest way to mount my 65" TV over my fireplace. Most importantly, Adam is a licensed electrician, so any issues I had, he was able to solve them, and didn't overcharge me for the electric work (as others had threatened). I received a phone call from Daniel. He seem to get a little irritated because I asked to see his contractor license since he stated he does electrical. He schedules an appt. but never calls to confirm it. He forgets that I am the same person he spoke to earlier and sends me a text to say can he come earlier that day. I remind him of who I am and he does not respond. i then place another ad on yelp to find a new tv installer. He responds again not knowing that he already spoke to me. Anyone who gets nervous of showing me their licensing credentials, I stay away from. I suggest anyone who uses a person who is stating that they are licensed to check with the CSLB ( contractors state license board) then ask to see the white plastic card that only the board issues with an id. This will enable oversight and any issues can be resolved through the Contractors state license board. Personally giving me a license number does not mean much unless it is verified. I have seen the CSLB start from issuing a citation to revoking a license. I am one who believes in proof, this is why I posted the conversation between us.
