Definitely one of those amazing "must do" experiences. I did a tandem flight with them a year ago and surprised my Dad with a tandem flight for his 70th bday today. Tony and his crew are extremely professional and put you at ease. The take off is a lot less scary than I'd anticipated and once you're up I was surprised to find it more relaxing than an adrenaline rush. They fly with a go pro attached to the glider and you end up with some incredible shots of you soaring over the cliffs in Wollongong. Well worth doing and I'd highly recommend flying with Hangglide Oz. read more

Since 1987 HangglideOz has introduced more than seven thousand students and tandem passengers to the sport of hangliding, operating from the Stanwell Park and Wollongong sites. We are Australia's most experienced and professional instructional and tandem hanggliding flight centre, and are open seven days a week - weather permitting.

Meet the Business Owner: Tony A.

Tony Armstrong, Chief Flying Instructor has 30 years experience in the hanggliding. Career Highlights include: Member of the Australian Hang gliding team competing at the World Championships in Brazil 2017 Ex Australian hang gliding freestyle champion in the 1980s. Competed internationally and nationally Former member of the national paragliding team Associate Diploma in Sports Science, UOW Commentator for HGFA series (PayTV) Filmed Commercials for production houses in Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Korea. Played first grade rugby league Wests, Canterbury, Cronulla and Illawarra Former Daly M Winner - Highest Point Scorer 1984 Holds every flight hang gliding record from Stanwell Park since 1990.

We had some specific time requests and also wanted a more intense and lightly bit of hiking. Our needs were well met and we had a great day. Jellen was a great host and guide from the start. He was prompt and friendly on pick up. He adjusted the day as it went based on our needs and timing. He was very friendly and knew a lot about the areas we visited including the bird and wildlife we saw. On my next trip to Syndey I will be planning ahead to do some more excursions with Jellen and Dingo Tours.
