I have been dealing with severe back pain for…read morealmost a year, and the pain has significantly affected my sleep, daily activities, and ability to work. I attempted to have an MRI done three separate times, but because of my severe claustrophobia, I was unable to complete it. I came to see the doctor because I wanted to know if there were other options, such as sedation, that could allow me to get the MRI or if there were other tests that could help determine what was causing my pain. Instead of listening to my concerns, I felt that I was being dismissed. He questioned why I needed the MRI and what I thought it was going to show. He told me that my options were physical therapy and losing weight and suggested that my weight was likely the reason for my back pain. I understand that my weight is something I need to address, but I know my body, and I know that the severe pain I have been experiencing is not something I should simply be told to live with because of my weight. I was looking for a doctor to listen to me and help determine why I have been in so much pain. When I became upset, he told me to give him a moment while he spoke with a colleague. When he returned, I felt that his attitude toward me was even worse. He asked me what I thought was wrong with me. At that point, I became overwhelmed and walked out because I no longer felt comfortable continuing the conversation. I want to give a special thank-you to the front desk staff. They listened to me when I came out of the room upset, allowed me to explain what had happened, and helped me get connected with Corrina, the nurse. I truly appreciate them taking my concerns seriously instead of ignoring what had happened. I am also very grateful to Corrina, who called me, listened to me, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the doctor and his supervisor. Most importantly, she actually helped me move forward. She was able to get a CT scan ordered as an alternative since I could not complete the MRI, as well as referrals to neurology and neurosurgery to explore other options, including ways I may eventually be able to complete an MRI. My CT results showed that there are issues with my spine that require further evaluation, which was extremely upsetting to me because I felt that I had initially been ready to be dismissed as simply being overweight. I am sharing this review because patients deserve to be listened to, treated with compassion, and taken seriously, especially when they are experiencing severe pain. I am thankful that I spoke up for myself and that the front desk staff and Corrina took the time to listen and advocate for me. Without their help, I don't know if I would have gotten the additional testing and referrals I needed. Thank you to the front desk staff and especially Corrina for treating me with kindness and helping me when I felt like I wasn't being heard.

Awful experience. Pomona location…read more Doctor was a new resident so she was trying to demean me to prove she knew what she was doing. She wasn't the doctor I had chosen so unfortunately I was stuck with her. She dismissed a picture of me almost in anaphylactic shock as "I suggest taking a Claritin." She dismissed how I described living in mold infested housing meant I had symptoms of fatigue, she misunderstood mycotoxins and said "no, if you had a fungal infection I wouldn't been able to tell. I work with those people in a hospital." The unbelievable student assistant/student doctor also laughed at me after asking me what I thought I was diagnosed as. The other doctor didn't even care that the girl asked me that, she was already out of the door and didn't care. I guarantee you she brought the student doctor as an example of "here's a patient who's symptoms aren't real, let's look at her as an example of what happens to people who make up symptoms." Because of this now I'm gonna have to pay out of pocket for actual specialists and not inexperienced residents who dismiss everything. More expensive out of pocket but it will be worth it to avoid this type of BS.

If you say it's urgent it took 7 hours before she called my husband back. They DO NOT know how to submit disability paperwork. The first time almost everything was left blank (edd sent us & the office highlighted copies) It took my husband 10 weeks before he finally got his first disability check. We currently are on the 5th time for disability paperwork as the girl picked a random date for my husband to return to work. He had only started PT on his 4th session. Plus it was too early to be released to work and a month before he seen the surgeon for a follow-up. They want to charge you $20 every time to submit paperwork even when it's their mistake! And it takes them 4 days to fill out anything you need for your job plus another $20. I think the $20 for submitting paperwork is a scam, especially when Ashley is horrible at doing "her job". She doesn't care if you get paid in a timely matter considering it takes her mutiple times to finally submit it. We actually had another lady file it under the Dr she works for in order for it to finally be submitted correctly. I would say the drs are good but the office staff is highly unsatisfactory. We had to go in yesterday to get paperwork "fixed" because Ashley put a early return to work date for his disability and the lady next to us was there for the same reason. We went up stairs to talk to PT and she said we were the 2nd patient that morning who complained about the office staff screwing up paperwork. So if you go here and need to file disability paperwork beware it will take weeks or months in my husband's case (still not correct) his surgery was in May. He told the Dr who said it was unacceptable and he would report it to the "higher ups" but that didn't help us if he did say anything.

Doctor had a rather cavalier attitude regarding the surgery as I was on the gurney in pre-op. After the surgery he was nowhere to be found. No one from the doctors office interacted with me in the surgery center post-surgery. I left with medications I wasn't instructed on how/when to take. The nurses did their best to assist, but they didn't have info, as the doctors office gave them none. Have left messages on multiple occasions regarding a follow-up to a surgery I had with one of the providers here, the recovery from which is still not resolved almost 8 months later. PT was assigned and Premier didn't send any info to the PT office for a recovery plan. Follow up visits were with the PA, because the doctor couldn't be bothered to attend any of them for the first 6mo post-surgery. These were all ineffective as the PA never seemed to take into account any of the information I gave him regarding my recovery, or lack thereof. He refused to read a note from my PT regarding the issues I was having with my shoulder still. The office gave me a referral to a different specialist, never followed-up on scheduling that appointment until I went into the office almost a month later. When I did, they didn't give me any useful info regarding who the referral was to. I have been astronomically disappointed with "service" from every level of patient interaction at this location---front office, back office, PA, doctor. The next time that a person from this office calls to follow-up and ACTUALLY listens to what I'm saying and needing assistance with will be the first time. I will say, however, that the lady who helped me schedule the surgery, oh so many months ago--Maria, I think--was very nice and helpful.

I am very disappointed with my experience at the Casa Colina Physician's Clinic. I arrived on time…read morefor my scheduled appointment, yet I was left waiting for approximately 40 minutes before being seen. What makes this especially frustrating is the double standard. Patients are expected to arrive on time, and if a patient were 40 minutes late, the appointment would likely be canceled or need to be rescheduled. However, when the physician's clinic is running 40 minutes behind, the patient is simply expected to wait. I understand that unexpected delays can happen in a physician's office, but 40 minutes is a significant amount of time, and patients' schedules should be respected as well. At a minimum, patients should be informed when there is a substantial delay and given an estimated wait time. Casa Colina Physician's Clinic should hold itself to the same standard of punctuality and respect for time that it expects from its patients.
