Bought a pair of boots that fell apart after some months. Was offered only a small discount because I was told that working in the dairy industry damages boots, (that was a lie) so I took my business elsewhere and never shopped their again, and highly discouraged people looking for footwear from shopping their. read more

Excellent service. Very knowledgeable and patient workers. Great selection of steel toed boots and sneakers for work.

What awesome expertise and customer service from Doug Sorenson! His attention to detail and level of knowledge shows he has been doing this for decades. He asked great questions to help determine what I'd be using the boots for, what kind of look I wanted, and the price I was comfortable with. The result was being able to narrow down their huge selection to just the right pair for me. Then he gave me a custom fitting to not only make sure I wasn't walking around with the wrong size, but also that I have the arch and edge support for my feet. He cut custom pads for the insoles for my specific feet and affixed them right there! I am so impressed and although these shoes feel like they'll last a LONG time, you can bet I'll be back to Haney Shoes when it's time to replace them! read more

I was told last night i could not be in the store without a mask even though I have a disability. I was asked to prove I had a disability, HIPPA law violation. When I mentioned the Americans with Disabilities Act, I was told that as an American with a disability I could stand outside. I was also told that if I have a disability I should not leave my house. The Mask mandate clearly states that if you have a disability you are not required to wear a mask. read more

Haney the type of shoe store that prides itself on great customer service. Or so I've heard. Head here if you want a new pair or Ecco, Merrell, Keen or other non-Nike, New Balance, etc. brand of high end shoes. Sad thing for me is that the only pair of shoes I had my eyes on cost over $300. Not quite in my budget for a pair of chukka boots. At least I know I have good taste. So on this particular visit, I left Haney empty handed (footed?). It was probably cut a little short thanks to none of the staff at Haney actually acknowledging my presence, even though I had been browsing in the mens section for a good 10 minutes. Ah well. I guess I never should have strayed from Zappos in the first place. read more

I have always loved going to Haney for shoes. Even during COVID the staff has always been courteous and helpful. Today, however, the woman who retrieved shoes for us (already paid for) stood back and handed my mother's shoes to me. She gave no explanation about why she didn't help to see if the shoes did actually fit. When I commented that I thought she would help, she said "I'm following CDC guidelines because I'm not vaccinated." She does not understand the guidelines. Since she chose not to be vaccinated, why would she choose to work in such a business? The pandemic isn't over for those who don't get vaccinated, therefore, if she was following any guidelines she should have been wearing a mask (we were all wearing masks). Other people working there seemed to have no problem assisting customers. Just this one woman stood back expecting me to figure out why the shoes weren't quite right. read more

Haney's has a great selection of shoes! One of their employees Andrew was especially helpful with finding shoes that worked for me, and I love how they put on the shoes for you! They definitely have a lot of knowledge on each shoe. I left with a pair of sandals feeling very satisfied with the customer service! Would highly recommended! read more

I was very satisfied with the service I received and the selection of boots they had. Left the store with a new pair of comfortable Timbs for a reasonable price! read more

I love a small, proper shoe store that carries excellent brands designed for comfort, rather than "cute" overpriced footwear guaranteed to leave you with bunions and corns and fall apart after one season. Girls--find a man who would rather see your beautiful feet without disfiguring you. And it's great to find a store where they actually sit down and fit your shoes. If you can even find someone to help you at Von Maur they just hand you the boxes and then disappear. It's not like they are not charging full price, so where's the love? Speaking of Von Maur, I found a shoe at Haney for 40% off that Von Maur was still selling full price, and not just some oddly sized pair or weird color, but a basic black workplace, dressy shoe. To top it off, Haney's sells a full line of quality shoe care products. I am one of those weird girls who actually enjoys shining her own shoes, and these guys had me fully kitted out. Any other shoe emporium around here isn't even close. Come to Benson, support local business and leave with a smile and without the dose of Von Maur attitude. I just moved back to Omaha after seven years in NYC--this place is up there with Harry's Shoes on Broadway and TipTop on 72nd Street. Old school personalized service. I subtract one star because I think for the size they could get in a couple more brands and maybe more fully flesh out their lines. I would also like to see them carrying more wool socks, like SmartWool or DarnTough. read more

My Godmother and I were searching for a good shoe store with knowledgeable staff and good service. Boy did we find it! Ron was amazing, and we went away with 6 pair! Supportive shoes for older customers and stylish quality shoes for all! read more

These guys are great. You definitely want to go here and get some GOOD shoes!!! Had knee surgery in April and had a slight knock going on. He fitted me with a work shoe and built up the insole....knock gone and more comfortable than any tennis shoe I have ever gotten there. Definitely worth the time and money. I drive 4 hours to come to the store. Only place my family buys shoes of any kind. read more

I have visited Haney's twice, and have received such excellent service and product. I have shopped for orthodic shoes at other orthodic shops in Sioux Falls, and have spent a lot on off-the-shelf that need to have heals built up, but the staff had no time to do so. Haney made time on Black Friday and not only built up the shoes I bought, but also the ones I purchased in Sioux Falls. I am SO impressed, and am loving the products. They immediately provided relief of a heal spur. They make it happen, and are my new Go-to for shoes! read more

Disappointing customer service interaction. I went in sometime last week and everything was perfect at that visit. Got fitted and found an Ecco slip on shoe that was just what I wanted but they didn't have my size so I ordered one and they said they would call when it came in. Fast forward a week later and the shoe was in, I went to pick it up and it was too big. The width was way off and my heel slipped when I walked, an elderly gentleman came to me to help. He asked me how much space there was at the end of the shoe. He made no attempt to check the fitting so I bent over and said a little over a thumb but that it was slipping. He left and came back with an insole. I stated I wasn't interested in fixing it with an insole but wanted a shoe that fit, he swiped the shoes out of my hand and said "guess they'll go back on the shelf". No attempt to find another size or anything else. This is a shoe store right? Im willing to spend a little extra for service and to support small business. It's stuff like this that kills me about how small business seems to be going. You go out and try and support a local business and get garbage for service, I found the shoes online on my way to the car and ordered from Zappos for $15 less. Is customer service dead forever? I feel like it is. read more

I was very disappointed with a customer service in this store there is an old man who works there with an attitude I walked in there with my husband to get a new pair of shoes they came up to us and asked us if they could help us with anything we told them we we told them that we were fine and we were looking amongst ourselves right now the guy basically said oh it's the first Friday all people do is come in and Window Shop we had fully intended on buying a pair of shoes that day they missed out on at least $100 I will not be returning to that store read more

Went in to this store looking for work boots, and I was REALLY impressed with the level of expertise the salesman had on the products. It was like stepping back in time when customer service used to mean something! I was also thinking it was going to be just a hole in the wall shop without a lot of selection, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the store and the selection of shoes. read more

Haney Shoe store has a group of great/helpful people working there and they are always in a good mood to see you walk through the doors. I used to buy my shoes from stores like Yonkers, JCPenny, even Wal-Mart, and there was never anyone there to fit you and make sure you had the correct size on, just grab a pair off the shelf and see if it "fits". Well, after going to Haney Shoe store I know what it really means to "fit" in a pair of shoes. The customer service is outstanding from the moment I walk into the store to the moment I walk out. First thing they did was measure my feet and then got me the correct size shoe to try on. I didn't realize things like steel toed shoes/boots need to fit differently than dressy shoes, or pull-on boots fit a 1/2 smaller than laced boots, etc... At first I didn't think the shoes fit right because I was so used to the poor fit and how I had purchased shoes over the past 20 years, but after becoming more educated about the proper fit and size it now makes a huge difference in my everyday shoe-wearing life. They will even custom fit your insert for you if you need more arch support or plantar fasciitis support, etc... I have purchase many pairs of shoes now from Haney ranging from steel toed Red Wings, to dressy Eccos, to hiking shoes, to various inserts and socks, and am always more than pleased everytime I walk out of the store. I will never go to another store to purchase shoes as long as I live in Omaha. This is the best 'small town' local store to buy shoes in Omaha, period! Do yourself (and your feet) a favor and visit Haney Shoes for great customer service and a great product. read more
