While we didn't always agree on every step along the way, we trusted his judgment and strategy, and that trust paid off. He respected both our time and our money, kept us informed, and stayed focused on the end goal. We truly appreciate his dedication and would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND him to anyone navigating a complex real estate or investment dispute. Thank you Chandler!!

However, when they sent me the draft civil case complaint, it was obviously just copied from previous templates (which is not uncommon) and I had to correct several errors both in spelling, grammar and factual data. For example, "plaintiff told plaintiff" was repeated numerous times throughout the document. It was obviously not even proof read or reviewed by Lenden himself otherwise these juvenile errors wouldn't be left as such. I spent over an hour correcting what should have been a finalized, profession complaint. Furthermore, they made an error on the defendant's address on the complaint. I paid several thousands of dollars for these documents and these mistakes should not have been made. I cannot recommend their firm.

From the very beginning, they treated us with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect. They were patient with our questions, steady when we felt overwhelmed, and consistently made us feel like we were in capable hands. What sets this firm apart is the combination of professionalism and humanity. They were incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic, but also gracious and supportive through every step of the process. Communication was excellent -- we were never left wondering what was happening or what the next step would be. They kept us informed, prepared, and grounded throughout a process that can feel completely consuming. Gianna is an absolute delight to work with and was such a calming presence during trial. She helped keep us sane, answered questions quickly, and made sure we always felt supported. The entire team was responsive, thorough, and truly invested in the outcome. Angela and Daryoosh are the dream team. Their skill, confidence, and courtroom presence were exceptional, and we will forever be grateful for the way they fought for us. They were relentless in the best way -- prepared, sharp, and committed to protecting our interests at every turn. If you are looking for a law firm that is both highly competent and deeply compassionate -- a team that will take your case seriously and stand by you like it matters -- we cannot recommend Lokk Legal / Khashayar Law Group strongly enough. Banker's Hill

Working with Hoffman & Forde -- specifically Mike Dicks -- was one of the most frustrating…read moreprofessional experiences I've ever had. My sister and I hired the firm to represent us in a construction defect case involving our home. At first, our case was assigned to a junior attorney. When that attorney left the firm, Mike Dicks took over. From that point on, the entire process became far more stressful and chaotic than it needed to be. Instead of feeling like our attorney was advocating for us, it constantly felt like we were being pressured, dismissed, or talked down to. Any time we asked questions or pushed back on changes, we were treated as if we were the problem. One of the most maddening patterns was being told that parts of the settlement agreement were "final." We were repeatedly told we could not make further changes. Then the defense would make additional changes anyway, and suddenly those changes were allowed. When we asked questions about those changes, we were told we were jeopardizing the deal. This happened over and over again and created constant confusion about what was actually finalized and what wasn't. Another major issue was the lack of attention to detail. We provided extensive documentation of the problems with our house, including photos and written descriptions. Despite that, several critical issues were not properly addressed in the settlement scope. My sister repeatedly had to review and redline documents herself just to correct errors or omissions that should have been caught by our attorney. A perfect example involves two large floor-to-ceiling windows. Multiple experts who walked through the house suspected those windows were leaking, but we did not yet have clear documentation of water intrusion. Then, right around the time we were being pushed to sign earlier versions of the settlement agreement, a storm came through. During that storm my sister was able to record water visibly running down the inside of one of the windows. Despite that evidence, those windows were still not included in the final settlement scope, even though they were clearly part of the water intrusion issues affecting the property. The office also seemed extremely disorganized. We were asked multiple times for documents we had already provided. Outdated versions of the settlement agreement were circulated and referred to as the final version. At times it genuinely felt like no one was carefully reviewing the documents being sent to us. We were also repeatedly told the defendants were essentially insolvent and that we needed to accept the settlement because there was no money to pursue. When we asked how that determination had been made, the only documentation referenced was a financial disclosure sheet completed by the defendant himself listing limited assets. We were never informed if the actual business's financial records had been reviewed. Throughout all of this, the firm's partner, Daniel Forde, was copied on many of the communications but never stepped in to address the obvious problems. To be clear, the construction work that is now being completed at the property has addressed many of the defects. In fact, the damage turned out to be so extensive that the contractors ultimately ended up doing far more work than what was originally contemplated in the settlement. But that outcome came despite the legal representation, not because of it. What should have been professional legal guidance instead turned into months of unnecessary stress, confusion, and frustration. Far too often it felt like we were the ones doing the detailed review work while also paying legal fees. If you are considering hiring Hoffman & Forde, I strongly recommend asking very direct questions about who will actually handle your case and how closely documents will be reviewed before anything is finalized. Our experience with Mike Dicks was chaotic, exhausting, and deeply disappointing.

After that attorney left the firm, the senior attorney on the case, Mike Dicks, took over. From that point forward, the experience deteriorated significantly. My sister and I genuinely dreaded seeing Mike's name appear in our inbox. Interactions with him were consistently stressful, confusing, and unproductive. Instead of feeling like our attorney was advocating for us, we often felt pressured, dismissed, or talked down to. One of the biggest problems was communication and consistency. Mike frequently declared things "final" instead of asking for our input. Later, the defense would make additional changes and those changes would suddenly be allowed. When we asked questions or pushed back, we were told we were jeopardizing the deal or creating problems. This happened repeatedly and made an already stressful legal process even more frustrating. Another major issue was the lack of attention to detail and organization. Despite providing extensive documentation and photos of the defects in our home, several important items were not properly addressed in the settlement scope. We repeatedly had to review and redline documents ourselves to correct errors or omissions that should have been caught by our attorney. At one point, outdated versions of the settlement agreement kept being circulated and referred to as the final version. Despite raising concerns, the version that ultimately ended up executed still reflected earlier drafts that had known issues. In addition, two large floor-to-ceiling windows that we had documented leaking with video evidence were not included in the settlement scope. Repairing those windows could cost tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket, despite being verbally agreed upon during mediation. Another troubling issue involved the claim that the defendants were essentially insolvent. When we asked how that conclusion was reached, we were told that the defense provided a financial disclosure sheet completed by the defendant himself listing a house owned by his wife. Despite the defendant owning a construction business, our attorneys did not obtain the financial records or tax returns of the business owned by the defendant. That left us with serious questions about how the insolvency conclusion was reached. The office also appeared extremely disorganized. We were asked multiple times for documents we had already provided, including basic tax information, and there were frequent email exchanges correcting mistakes or clarifying issues that should have been handled internally. What made the experience especially concerning was that the firm's partner, Daniel Forde, was copied on many of these communications but never stepped in to address the issues. To be clear, the construction work that is now being completed at our house has ultimately addressed many of the defects. In fact, because the damage to the house turned out to be more extensive than anticipated, the defendants ended up doing significantly more work than what was originally contemplated in the settlement. That is one of the few silver linings in an otherwise extremely frustrating process. However, the legal representation itself was disappointing. We expected an attorney who would carefully review documents, communicate clearly, and advocate for our interests. Instead, we often felt like we were the ones doing the detailed review work ourselves while also paying for legal services. If you are considering hiring Hoffman & Forde, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about who will actually handle your case and how closely documents and settlement terms will be reviewed before anything is finalized. Our experience with Mike Dicks was disorganized, stressful, and far below the level of professionalism we expected when hiring legal counsel.

Last September (2016), my soon-to-be former wife ran off with our infant son (the only one we had…read moretogether in our short, 3 year marriage), falsely accused me of domestic violence, and filed a restraining order against me. The "charges" were complete fabrications and lies in order to slander me and circumvent the legal process to ultimately gain complete and total custody of our son. She retained what was supposed to be a "reputable", well-known (and expensive) attorney from the Mission Valley area, so I needed good legal counsel too, and fast. As the father of 4 other children, I knew what was going on and needed legal counsel that would be savvy enough to help defend me of the false DV charges and help me get my son back. So I did what many people do in these situations and jumped on the internet to look around for an attorney, then entered my information on a website, and Ross Veta contacted me almost immediately. Let me just say I couldn't have asked for a better attorney than Ross. He is a calm, cool, collected attorney who is savvy, knows what to do, and has a friendly, likable demeanor that you don't see in the legal profession. He always showed up in court dressed impeccably, with a smile on his face, was ready to go (prepared), and always put me at ease. In the end, the domestic violence charges and restraining orders were not only summarily DENIED, but I managed to get 50 percent custody of my son. And the real kicker is, Ross Veta also managed to get my legal costs reimbursed from the DV / RO charges, something that's almost unheard of. Needless to say, I filed for divorce just before the DV / RO hearing, so of course I'm using Ross to go through the process of divorcing this narcissistic woman. and have full faith that Ross will get me through this as well. Again, Ross is one-in-a-million and will help you get through what is usually one of the most unpleasant, stressful experiences in your life. Well done Ross, and big thanks!

They really need to start giving the option of negative stars. I called to meet with an attorney…read morewith their firm - Attorney Weiser. I was impressed with his CV. Instead I get a call back from Associate Attorney David Doria. Not so impressed. I'd called needing an attorney to help wrap up a parent's estate. Not write a new law, my issue is not brain surgery, nor rocket science. My need was not going to make case law. I just need someone respectful. There was no, sorry for your loss, nothing like that. Just a slam, bam, no thank you, mam. He was not pleasant. He was arrogant. I'd left a message that I needed someone who could wrap this up soon, so he starts up - I can't do this in 24-hours.... WTH? You can't even book a massage in 24-hours. I told him it might take 20-25 hours, so he says 30 hours? I can't get that done any sooner than two months, my schedule is full. So why did they pass me off to him in the first place if this was the case instead of having the person who took the call just call me back and say they had no room at the inn? It was not a good fit from the get-go. So he goes on to what? Show me his legal prowess? He claims that Ameriprise and Riversource will trip you up on purpose so they get to keep your money longer. This is ridiculous. Next time I speak with them, I will surely pass this message on, so they can have someone call him back. WTH? It's a clear case of an estate to be closed. No complications. I told him I'd been with a worldwide firm and was a small fish in a very big tank and when I asked for a new attorney there because the one I had had no time to finish this up...it didn't work out and I spent a lot of money for nearly hardly anything to be done in four months. He wanted to know immediately how much money I'd spent. WTH? Right? He has no time, slights two financial institutions and wants me to open my check book to him because he's curious? Everything I said, he had a reason why it was wrong and he was right - there is no way anyone who wanted the business or a good review would respond like this. I don't know this man, but by spending about 14 minutes on the phone with him, I was ready to hang up. I was polite, but I've been around the sun many years, and been in the corporate world dealing with Silicon Valley CEO's, programmers and scientists - primarily male. Nothing had gone from 0-60 like this in my entire career. Frankly, the tone, the questions, the comments.... It didn't feel like I was being listened to, or that he really wanted to make anything clear. It was like a meandering dance with a rattlesnake. Not sure where he was going to try and string next, or why. It felt like he wanted me to hang up. For me, it felt like a misogyny issue. It sure wasn't a good experience. Why would someone treat a potential client this way? This place is too busy, too rude and clearly doesn't want your business, or at least my business. I highly recommend David Doria for men, not good men, but men who don't want to speak to women. These men might have a chance at getting past the initial 14-minute call without feeling like they had their head bitten off, or needing a shower (in a bad way). There are other attorneys at this firm, but their initial protocol might be to send new business to this guy. God forbid you have a female judge. Now, like I said, this is my review of being with him for 10-maybe 14 minutes. Maybe I caught him on the wrong 14 minutes of his day. I completely lost track of time. My next call back was from a lovely attorney. A partner, whom I am meeting with later this week. I imagine it will take $10k-14k to wrap up. So that is...this firm lost roughly $928.00 a minute for the duration of the time we spoke. Maybe they should have someone else do intake with him on another phone. Have a partner sit in when new business comes in until he learns to be respectful of new business. That's what doctors do. That's what bakers do until they figure out the process. That's what sales people do. And veterinarians. Editors. Teachers. Just a thought. His CV reads that he's a really great guy raised tons of money for really worthy causes and did great things at university. It does leave out when he graduated from law school. He must have some good qualities, I just did not find them. Maybe he'd be the best attorney you've ever had. I am just pissed he wasted my time in such a frivolous manner. Please, people leave a ton of reviews to prove me wrong, I hope you do.

Kurt was easy to work with, explaining the process in simple English and ensuring we understood everything. I was so impressed that my husband and I had our own family trust written at GLKHW. He has been a godsend, making sure I understand and complete my duties, keeping me on track, answering a multitude of questions, and checking in with me regularly. He even took the time to answer questions about my mother in law's trust documents. David is knowledgeable, personable, respectful and kind.
