The estimates were fair and he also stopped by that same afternoon to take door measurements, so we scheduled an appt for Wednesday. He was available two days later, not two weeks later! Adam was punctual on the hottest day and went right to work on the back security door. After prepping the new door, he made sure it was properly aligned and before walking into the house to check from the inside he put booties over his shoes. Ok, who else does that? He did the same routine with the front security door and then asked if we had leftover paint so he could touch up an area by the door frame. He wasn't there to paint but he did it anyway at no charge. After working in the intense heat for hours, he eventually took a lunch break. Adam is humble, professional, and hard-working. I highly recommend him.

This is by far the worst service I have ever received by any handyman/contractor. Yelp never fails…read moreme but for this service it has. It first started with him being 15 min late to our initial appointment. He then called me at 2:15 and started bitching about the parking situation. This is Los Angeles! Besides my area isn't that bad for parking. I didn't really understand what the problem was. I basically had to find a spot for him. Anyone who does house calls in Los Angeles should have the common sense to know that parking is difficult in LA. He had my address for a several days, he knew where I lived. If he wasn't going to be able to handle the parking situation he should've told me. I've never had a contractor call me and say that they couldn't find parking. His work is messy. Every handyman I've hired usually cleans up their mess before leaving. He left dust and wood shavings in my bathroom, bedroom, and living room as well as his trash. He half finished the job yesterday and was supposed to come over today at 9:10 am. It's now 10am. I've called him multiple times, left a message and texted him. Still haven't gotten a response. He is one of the laziest and slowest human beings I've ever met. This experience has been such a headache. I usually have such great experiences using yelp. I am now going to call another handyman that I know from Orange County and beg him to finish this horrible job. Robert left a gaping opening in my window which he was supposed to cover with plexiglass today. He left it covered with cardboard! This guy is incompetent. Thanks for reading.

He finished installing a light fixture in minutes and charged a fair and minimal fee. Super nice guy w/ a positive attitude and a plethora of tools and skills. Fast forward a few months and we needed him again to take care of some rather intricate pot-rack hanging. This guy is a perfectionist to say the least. He gave me several options to hang the rack and suggested a sturdy, trustworthy method that allowed us to hang 50 lbs worth of pots and pans from our drywall ceiling with no problems. Then he moved onto a butcher block in our kitchen and stripped the top of mold, dirt, dust and general ugliness. The thing looks brand spanking new and is now a charming (and more importantly, USEABLE) addition to our kitchen. Go ahead: Hire Robert to perform any electrical, plumbing, painting, demo work or landscape jobs and it will be money well spent! Super trustworthy, super fair pricing for his expert skills and a helluva nice guy. Plain and simple: Robert kicks BUTT! This is what reads on the back of his card: "Limited tooling creates a lower overhead, which is how i lower my fee. Please note: all estimates are approximates, and fees are skill-based and by the hour. Material cost, a one time delivery fee, and a one-time call out fee factors into final bill. Cost per hr: Electrical ($50) - Plumbing ($60) - adding $10 hr for crawl spaces. Painting ($30). Demo ($30) General clean-up, landscape ($20) + 3 hr. min. charge. Owner must supply basic garden variety tools."

We highly recommend Pro Handyman Service!…read more I wanted to write this review because we had a request that, while not unique, wasn't that easily categorized under a common household repair category, so we decided we would look for a general handyman that would be able to do it all. We have a sliding barn door for a guest bathroom, and because there was a bit of a gap from the wall to the door, it wasn't very private for our guests, and there was also no latch on the barn door. It's a strange choice for a bathroom, but we also didn't have the budget to change the entire door. I reached out to a few pros to get their assessments, and Pro Handyman Service was not the cheapest option for this job, but they had great reviews and I appreciated that they gave me an upfront quote. The quote actually helped me to budget accordingly, and I didn't feel like there were going to be a bunch of hidden charges that I wouldn't be able to plan for. I also felt that Pro Handyman Service was easy to communicate with and they responded to my questions very quickly over Yelp messages. They are busy, by the way, so try to schedule early so you can get a time slot. Denis arrived at our home promptly and on time, and was very careful to keep the home clean by wearing booties to cover his shoes. He listened and reviewed the situation, then gave us several options based on his opinions and experience. For example, he said he could use either wood or plastic paneling to add a "privacy edge" to the sliding door, and we ultimately settled on wood for the sides and plastic for the top of the door. He had everything needed for the job and just needed to leave to purchase the wood paneling and returned promptly to do the install. He also painted and caulked the new wooden privacy edge on each side of the door. We had already purchased a latch, which he also installed while accommodating the added privacy edge to the door. Denis worked very quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. As you can see from the photos, the installation looks quite neat and clean, and almost looks as if the door came that way. It was nice that he was able to cut the privacy edge to accommodate the baseboard, too. Overall, this was a very positive experience with Pro Handyman Service and we think you'll be pleased with them as well! Hopefully this review will be helpful to anyone else who is looking for someone who needs a handyman (and especially if they have a specific request that might be similar to ours)!
