I initially called Jeff to check out why our dryer had stopped working. My wife and I thought the…read moredryer had gone out, but once Jeff got into the wall outlet he found that for some reason the wiring had come loose from the outlet. He probably saved us from having a fire in the house. Then, we were just telling him about some other things we were thinking about having done. We were wanting our hall bathroom remodeled and the old cast iron tub taken out and replaced with a walk-in shower. The next thing you know he is tackling that update. Not only did he do the walk-in shower but he also repainted the bathroom. Then he fixed a bad place in the hall ceiling and painted the hall. But, he wasn't done. He then took down the old laundry room cabinets that were installed in the laundry room when the house was built in the mid 1970s. He repainted the laundry room and installed new flooring for it. Also, the air vent for the dryer was through the wall into the garage. He drilled a hole in the laundry room outside wall and vented the dryer to the outside. He also took care of a couple of other minor things that he thought needed to be done. If you need anything, and I mean anything, done around your house don't hesitate to give him a call. His prices are very reasonable and he is just so much fun to talk to. From the first time he walked into our house we immediately liked him.

Exceptional Service - Truly Grateful I cannot say enough…read moregood things about Kings Home Renovations and the owner, Kameron. From the very beginning, he showed a level of professionalism, compassion, and integrity that is rare to find. Kameron completed flooring and wall repairs in my mother and stepfather's home, and what meant the most to me was how he treated them. As older adults, and with my stepfather being a disabled veteran,it was important that they were not only taken care of, but respected and valued. Kameron and his team did exactly that and more. He took the time to thoroughly explain what he was doing and why, making sure my parents understood every step. That kind of transparency gave me real peace of mind, especially knowing how vulnerable seniors can sometimes be when dealing with contractors. At no point did I feel like anything was being hidden or taken advantage of,everything was done with honesty and care. Even though I wasn't physically there, Kameron made sure to keep me informed and included throughout the entire process. He communicated consistently, offered thoughtful solutions to issues as they came up, and showed incredible patience, especially when working around my stepfather's appointments and my parents' needs. His crew was just as amazing, respectful, kind, and always willing to go above and beyond to help when needed. You could truly feel that they cared, not just about the job, but about the people they were serving. The work was completed in a timely manner without ever feeling rushed, and the quality speaks for itself. But more than anything, I am deeply grateful for the way Kameron treated my family with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. If you are looking for someone you can trust, not just for great work, but to truly look out for you and your loved ones,I highly, highly recommend Kings Home Renovations.

I knew when they had to keep coming back to "fix" what was wrong; large bubbles, two-tone colors, uneven texture and later hair line cracks down the middle, I had made a huge error. They offered to keep coming back, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then offered insurance after I got three estimates. I was done with it all. My error was in paying the full amount. My brother visited from out of state during the summer and was appalled seeing the inferior job and did what he could to make improvements with limited time. It's obvious when someone knows what they're doing. Lesson learned. Hire reputable pros and get what you pay for.

NEED A GREAT PLUMBER? Just had Brandon of Ski Plumbing back to fix something else on my aging home…read more My bathtub was leaking and I was expecting I would have to take out a HELOC, but Brandon diagnosed it as not the disaster I feared and had it fixed in about two hours (including going for a needed part). As usual, he fixed something else about the tub that I hadn't requested, installing a very nice stopper system. (I was using a plastic stopper from Dollar Tree and the drain had rusted!) He also regrouted in a color that matched what I had, which wasn't white. Brandon is a large man and can handle almost any job on his own, so I don't have to pay $70 or more dollars an hour for a "helper" to stand around watching a plumber. He will also work odd hours if he is needed in an emergency. He had 10 years of experience working for one of the best and largest plumbing companies in Shreveport before he started Ski Plumbing five years ago. He's also a pleasure to talk with and works quickly and efficiently without making a huge mess. His prices are very reasonable, especially when compared to the going rates of the large companies. I rarely recommend any person or business, but I wholeheartedly recommend Brandon "Ski" Chmielewski of Ski Plumbing for both inside and outside plumbing jobs.

I was really surprised at the professionalism every step of the way. The lady that answered the phone was very kind and knowledgeable about their services and gave me a quote in advance at that time. She also scheduled a time to do it...not a window of time as is the usual for home service visits. And when your garage door won't move your car is either stuck inside or out, so they even offer same day service. Our cars were out so we took the appointment...but the lady called and offered an earlier one if we wanted it.... The service was done by a polite and professional young man (Brian) who took the time to explain the features of the system to me, even though they hadn't put the door in. He replaced the springs methodically but efficiently. The service was a good value. I highly recommend Avallone Door and Iron Works for any garage door work.
