We did a half bathroom remodel from baseboards, flooring, level setting tiles, vanity, paint, mirror, fixtures, drywall, etc. Unlike a lot of traditional Orlando handy folks I've worked with, the best thing about Max is his responsiveness. He gets things done, he tells you his plan, updates you on the progress and tells you like it is. Some folks you hire, you'll have no idea what's going on and especially for someone who isn't local it's critical to see and trust what's going on. He said it would take less than 2 hours to replace my headliner on my 2010 Acura RDX. He was done in 1.5 hours and he did a FANTASTIC job - very clean and methodical! He hired a couple who could hardly communicate with us and were basically handymen. Not window experts. He assured us he would be there "all day" for the project to "supervise" and he wasn't. Finishing work was sloppy and not done properly along with the issue of the windows now not opening correctly and not aligned correctly. Was assured no window permitting needed because we were only replacing rotted wood. The job is not completed and we have had to hire another contractor who will correct the mistakes made and do it right. Husband tried to speak with him and explain we had no confidence in him to "fix it" with the kind of workers he is using. He got very angry and walked off and left. He has taken all but $1000 of our agreed upon money only because stucco work was pending. Even though we paid him $300 of the $1300 stucco cost. So now we are out thousands of dollars for a poor outcome on this unexpected Reno work. Make sure when you hire someone that they have legit workers working for them.
