Brittany is an absolutely outstanding physical therapist who successfully treated me for vertigo and dizziness. This place is a hidden gem in SCV! I had been dealing with hand/arm troubles due to Cubital Tunnel. I saw a few Drs and went to another Therapist who couldn't seem to make progress and surgery was on the table. However, once I came here, David H (Occupational Therapist) knew the actual root of my problem just by how I was sitting! Turns out, my posture was bad and I had Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. David went beyond just showing me Exercises. He helped me relearn how to sit properly, helped show me what my "ideal" home office set up would look like, how to listen to my body, empowered me to be able to help myself at home once sessions are done, and took the time to explain every step of the process. Incredibly patient and flexible if you have questions or if another issue comes up. What other therapists and drs couldn't figure out in 6 months, David and the team fixed in about 3. Sam and Victor are amazing as well, they took the time to really show me how to do the exercises. The best part is there's never an day or a moment there where there isn't good laugh! I am blessed to find the Hands Plus PT (Santa Clarita and Acton location ) as my healing center after a mountain biking injury with terrible pain, etc. My orthopedic pain management/surgeon doctors suggested seeing CHT/OT to recover from CRPS. The team is professional and knows what they are doing and how to enhance your healing process. To date, I am 70% able to move my hand and arm, and my range of motion is improving with every session. Due to personal reasons, I had to relocate and could not recover completely with this team of certified professionals. I wish I could. I have been to several Physical Therapy locations in the past 4 years and have never been very happy with their treatment. Last year I finally found the Hands Plus the BEST Physical Therapy clinic EVER!! I have had several injuries and surgeries and they have treated my Hands, Neck and now Shoulder. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They take the time to talk to you and find out what other areas of your body are hurting so they can help treat that as well. They are gentle and kind and explain how best to do the exercises assigned and how that exercise works the muscles to help improve your range of motion. They watch you as you do the exercises and make sure your are doing them correctly. It has been my experience with other places that once they tell you how to do an exercise they just walk away and don't really pay attention to how you are doing. Josie, David and Susan have all treated me and they are all experts. I truly wish I had come to Hands Plus years ago but now that I found them, I will never go anywhere else. First of all, there are two Davids so it may cause some confusion in the beginning. Both are super knowledgeable and spent more time to explain anatomy and potential problems than the doctors I had. David Girard actually discovered a serious issue preventing motion, which had gone undetected by several doctors and radiologists at two hospitals, and referred me to a renowned surgeon who will make the repair. The staff also creates a fun environment with good music playing (most of the time; it's subjective) to distract from the discomfort of recovering from a serious injury. I have another surgery and more therapy to go, but want to thank "The Daves" and their team (Josie, Liz, Melissa) with this review. read more

I suffered a recent stroke that paralyzed my left hand. The hospital doctors gave me aspirin and sent me home saying there is nothing else they can do, but maybe with time and proper psychical therapy, i "might" be able to retrain my brain to regain partial use of my hand again. Well, this isnt at all what i wanted to hear, i NEED both hands for sports and activities i do daily! So i began by using my good right hand to teach my paralyzed left hand how to move. Within a few days my left hand was responding slightly, then i discovered Hands Plus Psychical Therapy and decided to give them a try. I was pleased at how clean and nicely set up the place was, but highly impressed with the staff, so i booked 2 appointments a week with Josie and OMG, she is fantastic, so knowledgeable, super friendly, patient, and very efficient. After just few visits my left hand was responding nicely, after just 1 month, i could do most everything again. On my next doctor appointment, they couldnt believe my miracle recovery! Came here out of worker's comp for repetitive motion injuries in my hands/arms/wrists a couple months. Previously I was getting therapy at another clinic and it helped a bit, but I wasn't seeing much progress so I got sent here. After my sessions, I started seeing a lot more progress and I don't feel nearly as much pain as I used to! In addition to some helpful stretches and exercises for my wrists, they also gave me some good exercises for my general posture since it's all connected. Everyone who works here is really nice and isn't afraid to go above and beyond to make sure you get better. Definitely recommend Hands Plus for anyone read more

I broke my pinky as a result of a work injury, and I've been seeing David Hubert for my therapy. He's been wonderful to work with. After a wrist TFCC injury and surgery I started therapy at Hands Plus and they are by far the best! I was completely apprehensive about trying them as I had been to other therapists before with no success, but working with David Hubert has been a wonderful experience. Ive seen great improvement in my wrist after surgery and am looking forward to more sessions with him. David is extremely knowledgable and if you're like me and like explanations for everything, he will even bring out books and show you exactly what hes talking about with respect to your injury, symptoms, and treatment. He is also very intuitive, and just by feeling around my arm he pretty much knows exactly what is going on with my injury, even before my doctors do. He has a holistic approach where he focuses on other parts of the body that are connected to the injury site for better improvement, which is great as well. Hi this review is like three years late. I broke my hand punching a stucko wall three years ago, it was about a girl of course. to what looked like beyond repair. Miserable, post-surgery unable to use my dominant hand, I walked into Hands Plus dejected unable to even bend my fingers. Dave H. welcomed me on the first day as I ranted about my life and we shared the same sarcastic humor, even amidst the painful early stages of physical therapy, we shared a lot of laughs and even in depth conversations about society and pop culture. I dreaded the rehabilitation part of it, but looked forward to the conversations. The receptionist Liz, and other Dave (whom I karaoke with frequently) were friendly faces as well. My dad died around this time, I don't wanna get too heavy but Dave talked me through it as my emotions were a mix of benevolence and anger, a conversation we had helped put things into perspective. He made a device for me that allowed me to bend my fingers as I slept. He even wrote a letter to a judge for me to have me skip community service for a red light I ran, and because of my hand and the letter, the judge waived off the whole thing. He had a kid around Christmas time I remember, because instead of talking about it the day after it happened, he allowed me to vent about whatever I was venting about, I only found out when he needed to take a call. On my last day I told him i'd write the best yelp review ever, of course I never did. I passed by the old center today, made a closed fist, something I wouldn't be able to do much less wrote or type on a keyboard without Dave and crew. Here's the review, cheers. Therapy at Hands Plus PT was very helpful. I went with wrist pain and learned that I have arthritis in my CMC joint. Very helpful information! David resolved the wrist pain and created custom splints for both thumbs that allow me to function much more comfortably. I've been to a few different Physical Therapists over the years and I've never been real impressed with any of them. That is until I found Hands Plus Physical Therapy. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. The therapists are enthusiastic and knowledgable. And they don't leave you in corner to fend for yourself!
