I have been going to Progressive Physical Therapy for three months now. I had been struggling with an injury above my ankle that prevented me from being able to run. Before coming here I had stopped running for 5 months and now I am back to being able to run long distances with the help of my physical therapist Denise. Denise had me do a lot of strengthening exercises and as my sessions went on I saw a lot of progress. I was getting stronger and not only could I run without pain now, but I was also feeling stronger on my runs. Denise and Cadence are very kind and attentive; they made sure to always check on me and to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain during the exercises. Denise was my physical therapist for pain and limited mobility in my right leg. At the end of my therapy, I had tripled the mobility in my ankle and the pain in my foot, calf and hip was gone. I originally really enjoyed coming here because of the progress I was seeing and the attentiveness of the physical therapist and you can tell she was really interested in fixing your problems. She even adjusted her schedule for me which I was really grateful for. After I canceled an appointment by phone on a weekend 23 hours ahead of my appointment after mistakenly scheduling with her the day of the week and not checking the date, I started getting the cold shoulder. I was passed onto another therapist. I wasn't greeted anymore. When I asked about the appointment I had canceled and asked if it was the right way to do it, I was told to ask the front desk lady who was leaving to go home and she just walked away instead of offering to reschedule my last appointment. I got 5/6 appointments. I also wasn't too sure about the front desk woman as she wasn't really sure how to successfully complete the payments on her devices and it was slightly frustrating and I was suggested to do the check ins and pay on my phone instead, it is convenient though. They should also get a little something to block the computer in the front because the cords look really easy to pull out. read more

After I hurt my back, my doctor suggested physical therapy. I began going to Progressive in Valencia. The staff and team were all very kind. They were incredibly thorough when gathering information about my injury, as well as detailed in their approach to dealing with my pain and getting me on the path to recovery. The exercises and soft tissue massage they provided helped my condition steadily improve. After a week or two of sessions, I noticed considerable improvement in my pain level and mobility. There were times in my recovery when I would occasionally feel a new or related pain, and the team members were great listeners and were always willing to consult, modify, and provide new exercises to ensure that I was comfortable. Honestly, they were such nice people (and fun to chat with will during my sessions!) that discontinuing care was bittersweet. I was happy to feel healthy again, but also sad to say goodbye. After attending Progressive PT, I feel stronger, I gained insight into how to listen to my back and what it needs from day-to-day, and I know more about how to deal with any related issues that might pop up in the future. I did something to my knee, and my insurance said I had to try physical therapy. I did research for Places in Santa Clarita that took my insurance and chose Progressive and I am glad that I did. Getting an appointment was easy, kim at the front desk is very helpful, no a month of waiting to be seen and the paperwork was easy to fill out. The facility is clean and everyone I've met has been so kind. Huge thanks to my physical therapists Cody and Noelle, my knee feels much better. At my first appointment Cody spent an hour with me assessing my issue and asking questions, he was very reassuring and made me feel much better about my situation since my doctors were not helpful. Noelle and Cody are both very patient explaining and showing exactly how to do the exercises to my awkward clumsy self! They are both very kind and encouraging and gentle in promoting corrections. I am so grateful for this place. The location itself is very bright and clean with lots of equipment . I don't have a lot of experience with physical therapy places but I feel this place is taking better care of me than the last time I did physical therapy a few years ago- my last physical therapy experience elsewhere consisted of mostly ice, heat and tens machines and not a lot of exercises. Progressive Physical therapy was instrumental in my recovery from an ACL tear from skiing in February of 2018. They worked with me to build up my strength and to walk normally again prior to the surgery in April and in the 6 mos that followed the ACL reconstruction. My PT was 3x a week post surgery and the doctor was really impressed with the pace of my progress in a short period of time. On October 21, 2017, I broke my left tibia and fibula which required a rod and plate to be surgically inserted into it. The surgeon told me that I would have a minimum of 6 months until I was fully recovered back to full strength. Today, February 27th, 2018, I was discharged from Progressive Physical Therapy. The staff at Progressive is absolutely wonderful, the environment is fun and challenging, and, most important of all, the therapy yielded great results. Shelly always made sure to not let exercises get too easy to me before progressing me further and I wouldn't have had it any other way. She was always attentive towards my needs and how my leg was feeling during each session. When Shelly wasn't available, Dylan always picked up right where she left off and there was never any slack in my progress. Being discharged 2 months ahead of schedule is definitely an ode to how wonderful this place is. 10/10 would recommend and would come back if the situation were to arise, although I hope it doesn't. Over the years I've been to several Physical Therapist offices, some good and some not so good. Progressive Physical Therapy in Valencia falls into its own special category of excellent! From the moment I walked in I felt like I was part of a family, I knew that I'd be receiving specialized care. Shelly met with me my first day and gave me a thorough examination. She listened and cared about what was bothering me. The following visits both she and Bridgette made sure that I was technically correct while I worked on my exercise program. Shelly has eyes in the back of her head, if you're not doing the exercise correctly, she'll come right over and make sure that you feel and understand what muscles you need to be working. I looked forward to each and every visit, it felt more like a personal training session, a session working with a friend. Shelly is warm and engaging. I was referred to Progressive by my Orthopedic Surgeon. My daughter had been to Progressive and said to ask for an appointment with Shelly since she had helped her recover from a broken ankle. I met with Shelly and was impressed with her easy going, but professional manner during my initial review. She developed an exercise program and also made good suggestions regarding how I could make changes in my daily routine to improve and not add to my back problems. I went to Progressive twice a week and did my exercises on their well maintained equipment under the supervision of Shelly and Auriel, both of which are kind, patient and very helpful. They had me progress as I was able and my condition improved. Friends and family noticed that I looked like I was doing better as well. Once I was doing well they suggested that I could continue on my own, rather than sign me up for more sessions. I would recommend Progressive highly for anyone needing physical therapy. I've been going to Progressive for an ankle injury for the past several weeks. The office staff is amazing and always smiling when u walk in the door. The facility has tons of floor space and never feels crowded. The PTs are all really knowledgeable and do a great job keeping it fun. I broke my right ankle in three places - dislocating it and shattering one of the bones. After 3-months of being in a wheelchair, I was given the green light to start Physical Therapy. My mother-in-law recommended Progressive to me and I'm glad she did. When I started in February, I could not walk or drive. I was living with my mom in Valencia and attending sessions with my mother-in-law who also goes to Progressive for a broken femur. I badly broke my right ankle in October, dislocated and fractured my fibula and tibia, after my ORIF surgery and after my cast was removed 7 weeks later, my bones had healed but I was still in pain. I had miserable experiences in the past with physical therapy and was nervous about starting so I did some extensive research and found Progressive Physical Therapy. I am SO glad I did! Shelly has helped me so much. I had lots of soft tissue damage and was unable to walk in the surgical boot, slowly with massage, stretches, taping and ice, I was slowly able to walk again without pain. I am currently still under Shelly's care and I am getting stronger everyday. There were days when I felt so discouraged but Shelly has been so encouraging and I always feel better after my visit.
