Suusa has such a warm presence, and is fabulous at nurturing children's creativity in a safe and welcoming environment. The projects are age-appropriate and encourage skill development while still remaining open-ended enough to encourage individual expression. During a walkabout on Oak Bay Avenue, before heading to dinner, we stopped into several of the stores that caught our eyes. Seeing the 4CATS sidewalk sign caught my lady's eyes, and a look-see inside at the art supplies being offered was definitely in order. Wow! most everything in art supplies available in one place -- for the very beginner, the occasional 'dabbler', and on up to those pursuing serious art interests. Daughter and I watched on, as she truly-enjoyed some "quality time" browsing the offerings, and chatting with staff about their services, etc. My thanks to those at 4CATS for helping to make the day in Oak Bay such a special one.

We arrived, then were shown a demonstration of how to and we're off to races. I struggled a little bit with mine, but I got the help I needed to complete my project. For $150/person we got over 2+ hours of instruction plus creating our ornament. Our experience began with learning about the basics of glass blowing. We watched him perform each skill and then we each got a chance to do it ourselves. Next, we picked out which Christmas ornament we would like to create. There is so much customization possible! He had great suggestions to help our visions come to life. Lastly, we created our ornaments one by one. We had to leave our ornaments in the kiln for about an hour, so Jason recommended Paddle Stick pub for us to grab lunch. When we came back, they were beautifully wrapped. It was a wonderful holiday activity, and we have handmade ornaments to treasure forever.

Outstanding art work and compassionate It has been a year…read moresince I lost my biggest love and companionship, it is hard to understand for some people when we are taking about a pet but after I had the chance to spoke with Jason about what I wanted with Precious my cat ashes and his personal experience. I knew he was the artist I wanted for making a unique memorial piece. He designed the orb to look like as I used to call her "my little universe" She had a very pink nose and the small dot where the light comes from in the orb is pink glass , that way I can still kiss her in the nose, I have spent the year traveling and I take her with me everywhere I go. Jason and his wife were truly kind and in my case working in the funeral field I know how important it is to know the ashes of our love ones are safe and treated with respect so I absolutely recommend StarryNightGlassArt and Jason as I do when ever a family or friend ask me for.
