Tyler Air Conditioning of Stratford is the best company for your job. My family is forever grateful…read moreto them and their generosity. Everyone member working there is caring and generous. This year, my wife and I were blessed with twins. This also means our expenses caring for a little own are multiplied. While facing a financial hardship, our furnace started leaking dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and we needed a replacement. We couldn't afford the cost of a new own and care for our babies equally. With temperatures on the decline, it was imperative that we replaced it as soon as possible. When Tyler Air Conditioning heard our story, they offered to help. During an extremely difficult and stressful time, they offered to donate their time to help offset the cost of a new furnace. Within a few weeks, a new boiler was installed. We now have heat at night, our babies are thriving, and we are living with less stress. The entire staff on board truly amazing people. They were all willing to help a local family in need and I will always support them. I want to especially thank Donny, Vinny, Fred, and Jennifer for going above and beyond. They are extremely responsive, hardworking and so fantastic job. I highly recommend them to you all and couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help us.

Report stated "Control…read moreboard and furnace wiring look clean with no signs of wear and tear...at this time no issues are seen and no recommendations to make" Now I'm trying to sell condo and inspector mentions wiring is not to code. I contacted Tyler for a 2nd opinion and based on a photo I forwarded from the inspector, they have stated that rewiring is needed at a cost of $500-$750. Why didn't the technician determine this four months ago when he came IN PERSON?? I would give zero stars if I could based on this complete incompetence.

When my hot water heater needed to be replaced, I was looking around for some options. From what I…read moreneeded, it was going to cost me anywhere from $1600-$2000 for a new heater and install costs. It wasn't until I saw an Ad on Facebook that presented the opportunity to rent a water heater from Hubbell so I looked into it. What an amazing program they have set up here. I pay $21.00 a month and I know that regardless of what happens to my water heater, the service is fully covered. I didn't know that Hubbell was located in Stratford so this made it even better knowing that they're local but apparently they service all of Connecticut. I'd highly recommend this for the people who may not have the couple thousand to spend on a new water heater. This is a great alternative! Thanks Hubbell!

"Be on guard" The company pursued me because I googled…read more"handyman". I booked a Monday and was told it was 99.00 to look, but credited back if you accept the quote. However, last minute on a Sunday, I received a call from a tech that he had one last opening as it was to snow Monday. It was not an emergency, just a broken toilet chain. I just could not reach the tiny piece left at the bottom or use, no rush, no leaks. I have two other bathrooms. Be ware, their $99 quote is NOT inclusive of PARTS!!! It would be $497.00 EXCLUDING his pick up of parts from Home Depot. NOT parts on the TRUCK as I was TOLD. (The booking was really via a call center). Then he had the nerve to say it was a SUNDAY EMERGENCY I never requested Sunday at all. It was my only day off to relax. Roto Rooter advertised 7 days per week and with snow coming on a Monday , I expected my Monday to be pushed to mid week not at 5 pm last minute for a Sunday. I disagreed rejected the high quote and his need to go Home Depot, his time and gas he whined about so I called my friend, as I felt bullied and intimidated because his voice and manner became louder and pushy. In addition, he did not remove dirty boots as I asked him to because my 18 stairs are carpeted in white. By this point it was almost 5 pm. My friend told him "she does not want a rebuilt toilet " which the tech said was all he would do. Raising his voice he began to yell once my friend ( a builder) said "she can buy a new toilet for that". This toilet was not the original-or OLD as he implied it was. The man blew up telling him "you're from Tennessee," prices are a lot less there. I just paid him the 99.00 to get rid of him while my friend was secretly still on speaker listening in. Finally, he left. I called my bank noting he had no date on the so called contract. It was left suspiciously blank. I was advised by my bank to stop payment and to call the police. What a mess. SINGLE WOMEN please AVOID, I fell into accepting a call, then rescheduled to a Sunday when I booked a Monday not from a local Roto Rooter at all . All because the company's name was familiar to me.

Water heater evaluation and possible replacement. Get another estimate! The estimate for 2 hours…read morework was over 1700$ . The plumber had no idea what the cost of the water heater would be over and above the labor. Don't they do this job everyday ? Ridiculous! Recommend getting multiple estimates- ultimately paid 3200$ which is about 1000 more than competitors. Bad decision
